MM2 Value List
“What is your knife actually worth, and what should you trade for?”
Last Updated: July 2026
Trading is the real endgame of Murder Mystery 2, and knowing what your items are worth is the difference between building a great inventory and getting scammed out of it.
MM2 is one of the biggest games on Roblox, with over 27 billion visits, and its trading economy has been running for years. Values move constantly as items retire and new ones drop.
This guide explains the real value tiers, shows the top items in each, and teaches you what actually drives a price. New here? Our MM2 wiki covers the basics, and the MM2 codes page lists free rewards.
The Quick Answer
The most valuable items are the Ancients (like Batwing and Nik’s Scythe) and the Vintages (like Cowboy and Ghost), because only 19 and 9 of them exist. After that come Chromas, then Tier 0 Godlies like the Seer family. Everything else is a long way down.
Read This Before You Trust Any Value List
MM2 values change every single day. On one recent day alone, Chroma Evergreen dropped by 1,000 value while Chroma Sunrise went up by 150.
That is why we do not print a big list of hard numbers here. Any guide that does is out of date within a week. Instead, this page teaches you the tiers and the six things that actually drive a price, so you can read a live value tracker yourself and never get lowballed.
The Real MM2 Value Tiers
Here is how the game actually ranks its weapons, straight from its own data, and what that means for value.
| Tier |
What it is |
What it is worth |
| Ancient |
The rarest tier in the game, one step above Godly. Only 19 exist. |
Top of the value list. Batwing, Nik’s Scythe, and Icewing sit here. |
| Vintage |
The original weapons from the game’s early days. Only 9 exist and none drop anymore. |
Extremely valuable because supply is frozen forever. |
| Chroma |
Shimmering event versions of Godly weapons. There are 69 of them. |
Worth far more than the normal Godly they are based on. |
| Godly |
The main collectible tier, with 120 weapons (81 knives, 39 guns). |
Value swings hugely depending on its internal tier, from Seer down to common box Godlies. |
| Legendary |
One step below Godly. Obtainable from boxes. |
Low value. Useful for building up to a Godly trade, not much else. |
| Rare / Uncommon / Common |
The everyday weapons you unbox constantly. |
Almost no trade value. Do not expect anything for these. |
The Godly Tier System Most Guides Miss
Here is something almost no value list tells you: the game sorts its 120 Godly weapons into four internal tiers, from Tier 0 down to Tier 3. This is the real hierarchy behind Godly prices.
| Godly tier |
How many |
Examples |
What it means |
| Tier 0 |
8 weapons |
Seer, Blue Seer, Red Seer, Purple Seer, Orange Seer, Yellow Seer |
The most exclusive Godlies in the game. The Seer family is craft-or-trade only, never unboxed. |
| Tier 1 |
32 weapons |
Deathshard, Fang, Saw, Tides, Eternal (I to IV), Hallow’s Edge, Ice Dragon |
High-tier Godlies. Mostly event or limited items that no longer drop, which keeps values strong. |
| Tier 2 |
41 weapons |
Gemstone, Darkbringer, and most mid box Godlies |
The middle of the pack. Still tradeable, but far more common. |
| Tier 3 |
36 weapons |
The most common box Godlies |
The bottom of the Godly ladder. Easy to unbox, so values stay low. |
So when someone offers you “a Godly for a Godly,” check the tier first. A Tier 0 Seer and a Tier 3 box Godly are not remotely the same trade.
Every Ancient and Vintage Item
These are the two rarest categories in the game, and the full lists are short. If you own any of these, you are holding real value.
| Category |
How many |
The complete list |
| Ancient |
19 items |
Batwing, Nik’s Scythe, Icewing, Elderwood Scythe, Logchopper, Hallowscythe, Icebreaker, Harvester, Reaver, Swirly Axe, Icepiercer, Icecrusher, Traveler’s Axe, Gingerscope, Gingerscythe, Vampire’s Axe, Celestial, Synthwave, Flames |
| Vintage |
9 items |
Cowboy, Splitter, Ghost, Phaser, Prince, Shadow, Golden, Blood, America |
Value is not random. These six things decide it.
What Actually Drives an Item’s Value
Once you understand these six things, you can judge any item yourself, even a brand new one nobody has priced yet.
| Driver |
How it works |
| Supply |
How many exist in the game. Fewer copies always means a higher value. |
| Retired or still droppable |
If an item can still be unboxed, its supply keeps growing and its value slowly falls. Retired items are frozen. |
| Event exclusivity |
Items from a past Halloween, Christmas, or Summer event cannot come back, so they hold value well. |
| Chroma status |
A Chroma version of a Godly is always worth much more than the plain version. |
| Godly tier |
The game’s own internal tier (0 to 3). A Tier 0 Seer and a Tier 3 box Godly are worlds apart. |
| Demand |
What people actually want right now. This is the part that swings week to week. |
What to Trade For, Stage by Stage
| Where you are |
Trade toward |
Why |
| Just starting out |
A cheap Godly |
Get any Godly first. It is your ticket into real trading. |
| Building up |
A Tier 1 Godly |
Trade several low Godlies up into one Tier 1 like Hallow’s Edge. |
| Mid-game |
A Chroma |
Chromas hold value better than most Godlies and are easy to re-trade. |
| Endgame |
An Ancient or Vintage |
Batwing, Icewing, or any Vintage. This is the top of the ladder. |
| Best long-term hold |
A retired event item |
Supply is frozen forever, so it will not get devalued by new drops. |
| What to avoid |
Overpaying on hype |
New items spike then settle. Do not trade an Ancient for a fad. |
How to Trade Safely
- Never accept a trade you feel rushed into. Scammers push hard to stop you checking a value list.
- Check the exact item name. Chroma versions and plain versions look similar but are worth wildly different amounts.
- Look at the Godly tier before agreeing to a Godly-for-Godly swap.
- Nobody legitimate needs your password or asks you to go first for a “trusted” trade. That is always a scam.
- Check a live value tracker right before you confirm, since prices moved this week.
MM2 still gets regular updates and events, and every new event adds items that shift the market. The tiers on this page are stable, but individual prices are not. Grab free rewards on the MM2 codes page while you build your inventory.
MM2 Value List FAQ
What is the most valuable item in MM2?
An Ancient weapon, like Batwing or Nik’s Scythe. There are only 19 Ancients in the entire game, which puts them at the very top of the value list.
What are Vintage items worth?
A lot. There are only 9 Vintage weapons (Cowboy, Splitter, Ghost, Phaser, Prince, Shadow, Golden, Blood, America), and none of them drop anymore, so their supply is frozen forever.
Is a Seer valuable?
Yes. The Seer family sits in Tier 0, the most exclusive Godly tier in the game, and it can only be crafted or traded, never unboxed.
Why do MM2 values keep changing?
Because supply and demand move constantly. Items retire, new ones drop, and hype shifts. Values can change day to day, so always check a live tracker before a big trade.
What is the difference between a Godly and a Chroma?
A Chroma is a shimmering event version of a Godly weapon. There are 69 of them, and a Chroma is always worth considerably more than the plain Godly it is based on.
Does MM2 have codes?
Yes. Check our MM2 codes page for the current list. Codes usually give free knives or coins.
