Anime Vanguards Guide
Tier List
“What are the best units in Anime Vanguards, and which ones should you summon for?”
Last Updated: June 2026
Anime Vanguards is one of the biggest anime tower defense games on Roblox, where you summon units based on your favorite anime characters and place them along the path to stop waves of enemies.
There are hundreds of units, and they are far from equal. The right units clear stages, raids, and bosses with ease, while weak ones leave gaps that enemies slip right through.
The short answer: God (Above Heaven), Song Jinwu and Igros, and Gujo (Infinity) sit at the very top right now, and Demon Leader (Control) belongs in almost every team.
New to the game? Our Anime Vanguards wiki covers how to play, and the Anime Vanguards codes page has free Gems to help you summon.
Below is the full tier list, ranked S to C, plus the best unit for each role and how to get them.
The Quick Answer
The strongest units in Anime Vanguards right now are God (Above Heaven), Song Jinwu and Igros, and Gujo (Infinity). Demon Leader (Control) is in almost every top team because it lowers unit costs, Ice Queen (Release) handles crowd control, and Rogita (Super 4) and Alocard (Vampire King) deal the best boss damage. If you are just starting, aim for Hollowseph (Pure) or World Destroyer (Old). Anime Vanguards adds and reworks units in nearly every update, so this is the current meta and changes often.
Anime Vanguards Tier List (June 2026)
Here is the full tier list, from the best units down to the early-game ones. S tier units are the strongest carries, and C tier units are fine to start with but worth replacing as your roster grows.
S
God (Above Heaven), Song Jinwu and Igros, Gujo (Infinity), Lich King (Ruler), Rogita (Super 4), Ice Queen (Release), Alocard (Vampire King), Demon Leader (Control)
The strongest units in the game right now. They carry almost any team through stages, raids, and bosses.
A
Diablo (Renacimiento), Savior (Rebirth), Brolzi Super (Wrathful), Shinobi Sage (Friendship), Skele King (Rock), Divalo (Requiem), Teacher (Final Stand), Demon Hybrid (Chainsaw)
Excellent units that are just behind the very top. Any of these can anchor a strong team.
B
Iscanur (Pride), Lord Friezo (Emperor), Hollowseph (Pure), Okorun (Turbo), Bounty Hunter (King of Hell), Beast Pirate (Half-Dragon), World Destroyer (Old), Pink Villain (Celestial)
Solid mid-game units. Great while you summon and evolve your way up to an S or A unit.
C
Koguro (Unsealed), Renguko (Purgatory), Cursed Shinobi (Black Flames), Quetzalcoatl (Sun God), Explosive Demon (Bomb), Scrap Pirate (Metal), Horsegirls (Racers), Igros (Elite Knight)
Early-game and situational units. Fine when you are starting out, but swap them out as you grow.
Anime Vanguards adds new units and reworks old ones in nearly every update, so the meta moves fast. This list reflects the current June 2026 meta after Update 13.5. After a major update, check back here for the latest ranking.
A quick cheat sheet: the best unit depends on the role you need to fill. A balanced team mixes a carry, a control unit, and an economy unit.
Best Units by Role
Anime Vanguards teams work best when you mix roles instead of stacking the same kind of unit. Here is the best pick for each job on your team.
| Team role |
Best units to use |
| Main DPS carry |
God (Above Heaven) and Alocard (Vampire King) put out huge damage and scale well into the late game. |
| Bosses and single target |
Rogita (Super 4) and Alocard melt tough single enemies and raid bosses fast. |
| AoE and wave clear |
Diablo (Renacimiento) and Savior (Rebirth) hit whole groups at once to stop swarms before they reach your base. |
| Crowd control |
Ice Queen (Release) and Gujo (Infinity) freeze and slow waves so your carry has time to do its work. |
| Economy and support |
Demon Leader (Control) lowers your unit costs, and farm units keep cash flowing for upgrades. |
| Best for beginners |
Hollowseph (Pure) and World Destroyer (Old) are easy to get and strong enough to carry the early stages. |
How to Get Units in Anime Vanguards
You build your roster in a few ways. Here is how it works.
1
Summon on the banner
Spend Gems on the Summon banner to roll for units. Rare units have low pull rates, so save your Gems for the ones you really want.
2
Evolve your units
Most top units are evolutions. Combine a base unit with evolution materials you earn from stages and events to unlock its much stronger form.
3
Reroll for good traits
Traits like extra range or damage make a big difference. Use trait rerolls to chase a strong trait on your best units.
4
Farm materials in stages and raids
Story stages, raids, and events drop the gold and materials you need to level up and evolve units. Replay them to stock up.
5
Grab codes for free Gems
Active codes give free Gems and rerolls so you can summon more often. See our Anime Vanguards codes page for what is active now.
Tier List Tips
- Build a balanced team: one or two damage carries, a control unit to slow enemies, and farm units for cash.
- Do not spend all your Gems on one banner. Save them for units you really want, since rare pulls are uncommon.
- Evolve before you replace. A B tier unit can jump to S tier once you unlock its evolved form.
- Reroll traits on your best units. A great trait can turn a good unit into a top one.
- Use codes for free Gems before a new banner so you get more summons.
