Unit Tier List
“Which units are the best in Anime Adventures, and which are worth your Gems?”
Last Updated: July 2026
Anime Adventures is one of the biggest anime tower defense games on Roblox. You summon units from famous anime worlds, place them on the map, and hold the line against wave after wave of enemies.
With hundreds of units in the pool, your Gems are precious. A top unit carries you deep into Infinite mode, while a weak one just takes up a team slot.
The short answer: Griffin (Darkness), Fused Hero, and Legendary Assassin (Prime) are the best units in the game right now.
New to the game? Our Anime Adventures wiki covers how to play, and the Anime Adventures codes page has free Gems and rewards to fuel your summons.
Below is the full Anime Adventures tier list, plus the best unit for each job and how summoning, evolving, and traits work.
The Quick Answer
The strongest units in Anime Adventures right now are Griffin (Darkness), Fused Hero, and Legendary Assassin (Prime), with Berserker (Rage) and Supreme Being (Sovereign) close behind. Griffin (Darkness) is the top carry because its damage keeps growing as you sacrifice units to it. For clearing big waves, Berserker (Rage) is the pick, and Shinobi (Eternal) rules burn damage. Anime Adventures reworks units and rotates limited banners all the time, so this is the current meta and it will shift.
How Placement, Combos, and Evolutions Work
Every unit is a Hill/Hybrid or a Ground type. Hill units need the raised spots on a map, and ground units fight from the path, so a good team mixes both. The tiers above assume each unit gets the placement it wants.
The top of the meta is also built on combos. Griffin (Darkness) grows stronger every time you sacrifice units to it, and buffers like Golden Tyrant, Illusionist, and Stringy multiply its damage even further. Fused Hero does not even come from a banner: you make it by fusing Carrot (Ultra) and Vego (Mage II) once one of them hits upgrade 7. And evolving a Mythic or Secret unit unlocks new skills and a big boost, often jumping it a whole tier, which is why most base versions sit lower until evolved.
Anime Adventures Tier List: Every Top Unit Ranked (July 2026)
Here are the units ranked from the best down to the early-game picks. S tier units are worth every Gem, and C tier units are fine to learn with until something better lands in your collection.
S
Griffin (Darkness), Fused Hero, Legendary Assassin (Prime), Berserker (Rage), Supreme Being (Sovereign), Illusionist (Transcended), Dracula (Unholy King), Shinobi (Eternal)
The strongest units right now. These carry Infinite mode and the hardest story maps, especially when you build your team around them.
A
Elyssia (Abyssal), Dark Mage (Fallen Star), Spider (Immolation), Sorceror Killer (Heavenly Body), Switchblade (Deception), Menace (Terror), Griffin (Reincarnation), Commander
Excellent units that sit just behind the top picks. Any of these is well worth evolving and building around.
B
Elf Mage (Aura), Umbra (Nuclear), Captain (God), Carrot (Ultra), Vego (Mage II), Sea God (Tyrant of the Seas), Golden Tyrant (Emperor), Stringy (Awakened)
Solid, dependable units. Several of these double as combo pieces: Carrot (Ultra) and Vego (Mage II) fuse into Fused Hero, and Golden Tyrant and Stringy buff Griffin.
C
Kurama (Nine-Tails), Titan Slayer, Spirit Swordsman, Harribu
Fine to start with, but outclassed by power creep at endgame. Harribu is the budget-friendly pick, and most un-evolved Mythics sit here until you evolve them.
Anime Adventures adds, reworks, and rotates units in almost every update, and many of the strongest are limited banner units that leave for good. Relics and traits shake things up too, so a well-built A tier unit can outplay a bare S tier one. This ranking reflects the current July 2026 meta, so check back after a big update for the latest order.
A quick cheat sheet: the best unit depends on the job. Build a team that covers waves, bosses, and buffs instead of stacking one type.
Best Unit by Situation
The best unit depends on what your team is missing. Here is the top pick for each job.
| Situation |
Best units to use |
| Overall DPS carry |
Griffin (Darkness) is the top carry when you feed its sacrifice meter and pair it with buffers, and Fused Hero brings the biggest cone attacks in the game. |
| Bosses and single targets |
Legendary Assassin (Prime) deals double damage to the closest enemy, which melts bosses, and Dracula (Unholy King) is a dependable single-target chewer. |
| Clearing big waves |
Berserker (Rage) stacks bleed on everything it touches, and Supreme Being (Sovereign) summons extra attackers that clear waves for free. |
| Burn damage over time |
Shinobi (Eternal) is the burn king, spreading fire ticks across whole waves, with Spider (Immolation) close behind. |
| Support and buffs |
Griffin (Reincarnation) doubles the main Griffin’s damage, while Commander, Golden Tyrant (Emperor), and Illusionist buff your whole team. |
| Best for beginners |
Harribu is cheap, easy to place, and hits hard for its cost, and Elf Mage (Aura) covers hills with steady damage while you learn the maps. |
How to Get and Upgrade Units
Summoning is only the start. Here is the full path from a fresh account to an evolved, well-rolled carry.
1
Earn Gems
Gems are the summon currency, and each summon costs around 50. Daily quests, story missions, and limited-time quests are the steady sources, so clear them every day you play.
2
Summon on the banner
Summons can pull Rare, Epic, Legendary, or Mythic units, with a small shiny chance on top. Watch the limited banners: the strongest units are often only there for a while, then leave for good.
3
Evolve your keepers
Mythic and Secret units can evolve into far stronger forms with new skills and a new look. Focus your materials on one main carry first instead of spreading them thin.
4
Reroll traits
Traits boost a unit’s damage, speed, or range. Reroll them at the Ethereal Guide using Star Remnants or Reroll Tokens, and only spend them on units you plan to keep. Star Remnants come from daily challenges, the Travelling Merchant, and removing shinies.
5
Redeem codes for free Gems
Active codes hand out free Gems and rewards that fund your next summons. See our Anime Adventures codes page for what works now.
Tier List Tips
- Mix hill and ground units so your team can use every spot the map gives you.
- Save your Gems for limited banners with meta units. Once those banners end, the units are gone.
- Evolve one strong carry before upgrading everyone a little. One finished unit beats five half-built ones.
- Do not chase shinies for power. They are just skins, and you can even remove them for Star Remnants when you need trait rerolls.
- Check the tier list again after big updates. Reworks and new banners move the meta fast.
Anime Adventures Tier List FAQ
What is the best unit in Anime Adventures?
Griffin (Darkness) is the best unit right now. Its damage keeps climbing as you sacrifice units to it, and with buffers like Griffin (Reincarnation) and Golden Tyrant behind it, nothing else scales as high. Fused Hero and Legendary Assassin (Prime) are right behind.
How do you summon units?
You spend Gems on the summon banner, at around 50 Gems per summon. Pulls range from Rare up to Mythic, with a small chance of a shiny version. Gems come from daily quests, story missions, and codes.
What does evolving do?
Evolving upgrades a Mythic or Secret unit into a stronger form with new skills and a new look. It is one of the biggest power jumps in the game, often lifting a unit a whole tier.
What are traits and how do you reroll them?
Traits are bonus modifiers that boost a unit’s damage, attack speed, or range. You reroll them at the Ethereal Guide with Star Remnants or Reroll Tokens, so save those for the units you plan to keep long-term.
Are shiny units stronger?
No, shinies are purely cosmetic skins with the same stats. If you need Star Remnants for trait rerolls, you can even remove a shiny from a Legendary or Mythic unit to get some.
Are there codes for Anime Adventures?
Yes, codes give free Gems and other rewards that speed up your summons. Check our up-to-date Anime Adventures codes page to see what is active right now.
