Doors Entities
“What are all the entities in Doors, and how do you survive each one?”
Last Updated: June 2026
Doors is one of the biggest horror games on Roblox, where you open door after door through a haunted hotel and try to reach the end without getting caught.
The scares come from the entities, the monsters that hide behind the doors. Each one looks and acts differently, so knowing what each does is the difference between escaping and starting over.
The good news is that almost every entity gives you a warning, like the lights flickering or a strange sound, right before it strikes.
New to the game? Our Doors wiki covers how to play, and the Doors codes page lists any freebies.
Well, here is every Doors entity, what it does, and the simplest way to survive it.
The Quick Answer
Most Doors entities give you a warning right before they attack. When the lights flicker and you hear a growl, hide in a closet or under a bed for Rush and Ambush. For Halt, turn around when the game tells you. Look away from Eyes, look right at Screech, and for Figure, crouch and move slowly so it cannot hear you. The Crucifix from Jeff’s Shop can banish many of them in a pinch.
Main Entities in Doors
These are the dangerous entities you meet most in the Hotel. Each one has its own warning and its own way to survive, so learning these first will keep you alive a lot longer.
| Entity |
How to survive it |
| Rush |
When the lights flicker and you hear a loud growl, Rush is racing down the hall. Jump into a closet or under a bed and wait until the noise stops. |
| Ambush |
A rarer, faster version of Rush that comes back several times in a row. Stay by a closet and hop back in for each pass, waiting until it is fully gone. |
| Figure |
A tall blind monster that hunts by sound. Crouch and walk slowly so it cannot hear you, and stay calm during the closet hiding part. |
| Seek |
Starts a running chase. Sprint and follow the Guiding Light, dodging hands and obstacles, until you reach the door at the end. |
| Halt |
The hallway turns dark blue. Walk forward, and when the Turn Around message appears, turn and walk the other way. Going the wrong way hurts you. |
| Eyes |
A floating eye with a purple glow. Do not stare at it, or it deals damage. Look away and walk past it. |
| Screech |
In a dark room you hear a quiet psst sound. Quickly turn and look right at Screech to make it leave before it bites. |
A quick cheat sheet: match the warning sign to the right move. Flickering lights mean hide, a dark blue hall is Halt, a purple glow is Eyes, and wrong door numbers mean Dupe.
Other Entities and Traps
Not every entity is out to chase you. Some are traps, some are harmless jumpscares, and one even punishes you for hiding too long. Here is what each one does.
| Entity |
What it does |
| Hide |
If you stay in a closet too long, Hide forces you out and hurts you. Leave your hiding spot once the danger has passed. |
| Jack |
Pops out of a closet or door with a jumpscare. He is harmless and does no damage, just a fright. |
| Timothy |
A tiny spider that jumps out when you search drawers. He only does a little damage, so do not panic. |
| Snare |
A plant trap on the floor in the garden rooms. Carry a light to spot it, and walk around it instead of stepping on it. |
| Dupe |
Makes fake copies of the exit door. Open the door with the correct next number, not a duplicate, or it bites you. |
| Shadow |
A super rare figure that flashes when you open a door. It is completely harmless and does nothing. |
Not everyone is out to get you: El Goblino, Bob, and the Guiding Light
Partway through the Hotel you find a side room with El Goblino and Bob, two friendly characters who joke around with you. Nearby is Jeff’s Shop, where you spend the Gold you find on helpful items like the Crucifix, Vitamins, and Lockpicks. The blue Guiding Light is on your side too, pointing you toward the right doors and important items.
Tips to Survive Doors
- Closets and beds are your safe spots. Hop in the moment the lights flicker, then wait until the hallway goes quiet.
- Do not hide too long, or Hide will force you out and hurt you. Leave once the danger passes.
- Listen closely. Growls, screeches, and rumbles all tell you which entity is near before you see it.
- Save your Gold for the Crucifix and Vitamins at Jeff’s Shop, since the Crucifix can banish most entities.
- Playing with friends makes runs easier and a lot less scary, and remember to only chat with people you actually know.
Doors Entities FAQ
How many entities are in Doors?
Quite a few, and the team keeps adding more with each new floor. The main Hotel entities are Rush, Ambush, Figure, Seek, Halt, Eyes, and Screech, plus traps and harmless ones like Hide, Jack, Timothy, Snare, and Dupe. The Mines and other floors add even more.
What is the most dangerous entity in Doors?
Figure and Seek are the big boss-style threats, and Ambush is the trickiest of the rushing monsters because it comes back again and again. Rush is the one you meet first.
