How to Make a Neon Pet
“How do I make my pet glow?”
A Neon pet is one of the coolest things you can own in Adopt Me. It glows in the dark and is worth a lot more in trades than a normal pet. But making one takes work, and a lot of players get stuck.
The short version is this. You need 4 full grown pets of the exact same kind, then you fuse them at the Neon Cave. This guide shows you every step, plus how to make the even rarer Mega Neon.

The Quick Answer
To make a Neon pet, get 4 pets of the same kind and age them all to Full Grown. Then take them to the Neon Cave and place them on the 4 glowing circles. They fuse into one glowing Neon pet.
To make a Mega Neon, you do it again with 4 Neon pets. That means a Mega Neon needs 16 full grown pets in total, so it is a big goal.
What Is a Neon Pet?
A Neon pet glows on certain parts of its body, and each pet glows in its own color. They were added back in 2019 and quickly became one of the best things to own.
The best part is that a Neon keeps the Fly and Ride powers of the pets you fused. So if you make a Neon from pets that can fly and be ridden, your Neon can too.
How to Make a Neon Pet, Step by Step
- Get 4 of the same pet. They must all be the exact same kind, like 4 Dogs or 4 Unicorns. You can hatch them, buy them, or trade for them.
- Age each one to Full Grown. Pets grow by finishing tasks, going from Newborn all the way up to Full Grown. You need all 4 at Full Grown.
- Go to the Neon Cave. It is under the bridge in the middle of the map. Walk down into it to find the glowing platform.
- Place all 4 pets on the circles. There are 4 glowing circles around the edge. Put one pet on each.
- Fuse them. The 4 pets join together into one Neon pet that glows. That is it, you made a Neon.
The 6 Growth Stages
Aging your pets is the slow part, so it helps to know the stages. A normal pet goes through 6 stages to reach Full Grown. A Neon pet uses different names for its stages, but the number of tasks is the same.
Every pet climbs these 6 stages. Higher rarity pets need more tasks per stage.

The higher a pet’s rarity, the more tasks it takes to move up each stage. So a Legendary pet takes much longer to grow than a Common one.
How to Make a Mega Neon
A Mega Neon is the next level up. Instead of glowing in one color, it cycles through all the colors of the rainbow. To make one, you fuse 4 full grown Neon pets (called Luminous) at the Neon Cave, the same way you made the Neon.
Here is the big number: since each Neon needs 4 full grown pets, and a Mega needs 4 Neons, a single Mega Neon takes 16 full grown pets in total. That is why Mega Neons are so rare and worth so much.
You can even change a Mega Neon’s colors later using Mega Neon Pet Paints at the Salon.
How to Make a Neon Faster
- Use Age-Up Potions. Each one gives your pet 30 tasks at once, which is the fastest way to reach Full Grown.
- Trade for full grown pets. If someone already aged a pet you need, trading for it skips all the work.
- Age all 4 at the same time. Keep all 4 pets out and do tasks that help them together, like taking them to school or the camp.
- Start with common pets. They need fewer tasks to grow, so your first Neon is much quicker if it is a common pet.
Pets That Cannot Be Made Into Neons
A few special pets cannot be turned into Neons at all. If you have one of these, do not waste time trying.
