How to Read a Combo
When players share combos, they write them as a chain of inputs. Once you know the shorthand, you can copy any combo you see. Here is what each part means.
Every combo is just a chain of these inputs in order.
So a combo written as 3 M1s + Uppercut + 2 + Downslam + 3 means: punch 3 times, launch them up with an Uppercut, hit ability 2, slam them down, then hit ability 3. Start with short combos and add more once the timing feels easy.
How to Black Flash
A Black Flash is a red-and-black flash that appears when you hit an enemy at the perfect moment. In the anime it happens in less than a blink. In the game it works the same way. Your move has to connect at the exact instant your strike lands.
The most common way is the Yuji, or Vessel, method. You throw a Pebble Throw, then time your next hit so it lands right as the pebble connects. When you get the timing right, the Black Flash goes off and does 2.5x damage.
How to practice it: go to the dummy outside the cafe. It has 100 HP and no lag, so it is perfect for drilling the timing over and over until it clicks.

How to Make a Custom Moveset
You can build your own moveset using the Skill Builder. There is one catch: it only works in a Private Server, since it is part of Free Build mode.
- Join a Private Server and turn on Build Mode by pressing M.
- Place a block. Put down a Moveset, Awakening, Special, or Character block.
- Pick “Custom.” In the block’s ability list, choose Custom to open the Skill Builder.
- Use the 3 tabs. Timeline builds the move, Conditions sets when it can be used, and Properties fine-tunes it.
- Name it and set the key. You set the move’s name, cooldown, and key bind from the block menu itself.
You build custom moves from the game’s own abilities and animations. So you can mix and match to make something new.
Beginner Tips
- Practice on the dummy outside the cafe. It never fights back, so you can learn combos safely.
- Learn Uppercut and Downslam first. Almost every combo uses them to keep the enemy stuck.
- Start with short combos. A clean 4-hit combo beats a long one you keep dropping.
- Do not spam your Special. Save it for the end of a combo when it will actually land.
