Grow a Garden 2 has 30 pets, and most players only ever recognize the handful they have seen spawn near their own garden. This page names every one of them, with the real price and the real odds of finding each one.
Every number here comes straight from the game’s own pet data, not a guess.
The quick answer
There are 30 pets in Grow a Garden 2, split across 7 rarities from Common up to Secret. 25 can be bought with Sheckles or Leaves; the other 5 only come from eggs, chests, or guild rewards.
The cheapest is Frog at 10,000 Sheckle. The priciest is Shadow Dragon at 30,000,000 Leaf.
Two currencies exist. Sheckles come from your main garden. Leaves come from the Fall Harvest world. See the section below for how their pet prices compare.
How pets work
Pets spawn randomly around the map with a countdown timer over their head. Buy one before the timer runs out or it disappears for good. Pets can also hatch from eggs, or come from chests and guild rewards.
Every pet can roll one of two extra variants when it appears: a size class (Big or Mega) and a Rainbow status. The two are rolled separately, so a pet can be both at once, like a Rainbow Mega pet.

The real Big, Mega and Rainbow numbers
24 of the 30 pets have their exact numbers written down. 13 of those 24 follow the game’s stated rule exactly: Rainbow multiplies the base number by 1.25, Big doubles it, and Mega triples it.

Rainbow does nothing for 6 pets. The wiki’s general rule says Rainbow always boosts a pet’s ability. But Dog, Hedgehog, Turkey, Swan, Jandel Monkey, Wolf have the exact same numbers Rainbow or not, at every size. Going Rainbow on one of these only changes how it looks.

The remaining 5 documented pets (Turtle, Golden Dragonfly, Unicorn, Raccoon, Black Dragon) scale up in their own irregular steps that do not match the pattern. Most of them use a base number that is already a multiplier, not a flat stat.
And 6 pets (Bee, Bear, Bald Eagle, Fox, Red Panda, Kitsune) have no variant numbers written down anywhere on the wiki. Their abilities are about stealing or fighting, not a simple stat boost.
Why Leaf pets always cost more
Grow a Garden 2 prices some pets in Sheckles and others in Leaves. Check every rarity that sells pets in both currencies and the pattern is exact. The cheapest Leaf pet always costs more than the priciest Sheckle pet in that same rarity.
| Rarity |
Priciest Sheckle pet |
Cheapest Leaf pet |
| Uncommon |

Dog, 50,000 Leaf |

Wolf, 6,500,000 Leaf |
| Super |
Black Dragon, 20,000,000 Sheckle |
Shadow Dragon, 30,000,000 Leaf |
Pet slots are the one exception. Upgrading how many pets you can equip costs the same 200,000 / 1,000,000 / 5,000,000 in either Sheckles or Leaves, 3 upgrades total.
