Counter Blox Tier List
“Which guns actually win rounds, and why?”
Last Updated: July 2026
Counter Blox is a CS:GO-style tactical shooter on Roblox where you buy weapons at the start of every round and use the money you earn to upgrade your loadout.
The game has run for more than a decade and racked up over 1.2 billion visits, and it is still getting patches, with the most recent update landing the day before this guide was written.
Every weapon has real, fixed stats for damage, price, and armor penetration, so instead of guessing which gun feels strong, we pulled those numbers straight from the game itself to build this ranking.
New to the game? Our Counter Blox wiki covers the basics, and the Counter Blox codes page lists any free rewards you can claim.
Below is the full weapon breakdown, a stat cheat sheet for the top picks, and tips for building a loadout on any budget.
The Quick Answer
AWP and AK-47 are the strongest weapons in Counter Blox. The AWP one-shots anywhere above the legs, and the AK-47 one-taps a headshot at every range for a much lower price. M4A1-S, Scout, and G3SG1 are close behind, each offering a one-tap headshot kill with a different tradeoff in mobility, price, or ammo capacity.
How Buying Works in Counter Blox
Before the ranking, here is how the economy actually works, since every weapon on this list is judged against it.
1
Earn money every round. Kills, planting or defusing the bomb, and winning the round all pay out cash you spend at the start of the next round.
2
Buy from the terminal at spawn. You have a short buy window at the start of each round to purchase weapons, armor, and grenades before it locks.
3
Balance risk against your bank. Buying a full loadout every round is expensive, so strong players save on losing rounds and buy in on rounds they can win.
4
Check for free rewards first. Some codes hand out bonus cash or cosmetics. See the Counter Blox codes page before you start grinding for weapon skins.
Every Weapon Ranked
Ranked by real one-tap headshot capability, cost efficiency, and armor penetration pulled straight from the game’s own weapon data, not a guess.
| Tier |
Weapon |
Real Stats |
Why |
| S |
AWP |
115 damage, one-shot anywhere above the legs, $4,750 |
The single hardest-hitting gun in the game. Slow to fire and expensive, but nothing else guarantees a kill from this far away. |
| S |
AK-47 |
35-40 damage, one-tap headshot at every range, $2,700 |
Lands a headshot kill on anyone at any distance, even through a helmet, for a mid-tier price. The most reliable rifle in the game. |
| A |
M4A1-S |
38 damage, one-tap headshot, silenced, $2,900 |
Trades the AK-47’s full-auto spray for a smaller magazine and a silencer, but still one-taps a headshot every time. |
| A |
Scout |
88 damage, near-instant headshot kill, $1,700 |
Cheaper and faster to move with than the AWP while still killing in one headshot at most ranges. A strong pick when you cannot afford the AWP. |
| A |
G3SG1 |
80 damage, one-shot headshot, fully automatic, $5,000 |
The only automatic sniper in the game, with a 20-round magazine. Expensive, but it lets you take a second shot if the first one misses. |
| B |
AUG A3 |
28 damage, instant headshot kill, built-in scope, $3,300 |
A scoped rifle that still one-taps a headshot and does well at range, though its price and slower rate of fire keep it a step behind the top rifles. |
| B |
FAMAS F1 |
30 damage, automatic or burst fire, $2,050 |
A budget-friendly rifle with a flexible fire mode, solid for players who are not ready to spend on an AK-47 or M4A1-S yet. |
| B |
TEC-9 |
33 damage, 90% armor penetration, $500 |
The best-value sidearm in the game. High armor penetration for a cheap pistol makes it a genuine round-one threat. |
| C |
MAC-10 |
29 damage, 800 rounds per minute, $1,050 |
A fast-firing budget SMG that can win close-range fights through sheer bullet volume, even though each hit does less damage. |
| C |
Five-seveN |
38 damage, 20-round magazine, $500 |
A solid backup pistol with good armor penetration and a generous magazine, but it is outclassed once you can afford a rifle. |
| C |
USP-S |
34 damage, starting pistol, free |
The default sidearm everyone starts with. Reliable in a pinch, but every other pistol on this list outperforms it for a similar or lower price. |
| C |
P90 |
25 damage, 50-round magazine, $2,350 |
The most expensive SMG in the game, with a huge magazine but the lowest damage per shot on this list. Better suited to spray fights than one-taps. |
| C |
MG42 |
35 damage, 150-round magazine, $1,700 |
Massive ammo capacity, but 70% movement speed while holding it makes it a defensive, hold-an-angle weapon rather than a flexible pick. |
Why this list is stat-based instead of a tracker opinion
Most Counter Blox tier list pages out there are community vote templates with no real weapon data behind them. Instead of repeating a vote count, we pulled the actual in-game damage, price, and armor penetration numbers for every weapon and ranked them by what those numbers mean in a real round: can this gun one-tap a headshot, and how much does that cost you.
Every one-tap weapon here kills with a single headshot regardless of armor. Budget picks trade damage for a much lower price.
Tips for Building a Loadout
- Save your money on a round you are likely to lose rather than force-buying a rifle you cannot really afford.
- Pick the Scout over the AWP if you need to move fast between angles, since it still one-taps a headshot for less than half the price.
- The TEC-9 is the best cheap sidearm thanks to its high armor penetration, so it is a strong pick on an eco round.
- Do not sleep on the G3SG1 if you can afford it. It is the only automatic sniper, so a missed first shot is not the end of the round.
- Every one-tap weapon on this list still requires a headshot. Aim training matters more than which gun you buy.
- Check the Counter Blox codes page for any bonus cash before you start saving for a new weapon.
Counter Blox Tier List FAQ

What is the best rifle in Counter Blox?
The AK-47 and M4A1-S are the top two rifles. Both one-tap a headshot kill at any range, with the AK-47 offering full-auto spray and the M4A1-S offering a silenced, smaller-magazine playstyle.
What is the best cheap weapon in Counter Blox?
The TEC-9 is the best budget pick at just $500, with 90 percent armor penetration that makes it a real threat even against armored opponents.
Is the Scout better than the AWP?
The Scout costs less than half as much as the AWP, moves faster while aimed, and still kills with a headshot at most ranges, making it a strong alternative when you cannot afford the AWP.
Is Counter Blox still being updated in 2026?
Yes. The game has run since 2015 and received an update as recently as the day before this guide was published, so it is still actively maintained more than a decade later.
