Lucky Avatars

Last Updated: August 2026  |  The developer behind it, why people stay so long, and the strangest number we have measured.

Lucky Avatars takes the mystery box idea and points it at clothes. You open a lucky block and it hands you a whole outfit thrown together at random. Keep it, swap a piece, or open another one. There is no money in the game and nothing for sale, so the only limit is how long you want to keep rolling.

It opened in October 2023 and has passed 133 million visits. This page has how a roll works and the developer behind it. It also covers why people stay in here far longer than in any other dressing up game, and one number that is more lopsided than anything else.

How to Play Lucky Avatars

There is nothing to learn and nothing to unlock. The whole game is one button and what comes out of it.

  1. Walk in. There is nothing to unlock, nothing to buy and no tutorial to sit through.
  2. Open a lucky block. It hands you a complete outfit put together at random rather than a single item.
  3. Look at what you got. Some of it will be awful and that is the game working as intended.
  4. Swap the pieces you do not like. You can change any single item and keep the rest, and the game suggests replacements.
  5. Save the outfits worth keeping. They go into a collection that is still there next time you come back.
  6. Open another block. There is no limit and no cost, so the only thing stopping you is patience.
  7. Buy only the piece you actually want. That goes through Roblox and the item lands in your own inventory.

Step four is the one that turns this from a slot machine into something useful. A roll you almost like is worth more than a roll you love, because you can fix the one piece that is wrong.

Lucky Avatars Gameplay: Why People Stay So Long

An average trip through this game lasts about seventeen and a half minutes. That is a long time for a dressing up game, and far longer than anything else of this kind.

Game Average trip What it is
Lucky Avatars 17.5 minutes Open a box, get a random outfit, repeat
Avatar Outfit Creator 10.9 minutes A catalog plus a photo studio
Math Murder 4.9 minutes A timed quiz round
Catalog Outfit Creator 2.3 minutes Browse a catalog by color
Outfit Loader 2.3 minutes Look up one player’s outfits

The two at the bottom of that list are catalog browsers. You go in knowing roughly what you want, find it, and leave. Two minutes is enough.

This one does not let you look for anything. It decides for you, which means the only way to get a result you like is to keep rolling until one turns up.

That is the same loop as any mystery box game. People stay about eight times longer here than in a shop where they could just search.

Worth going in knowing that. The game is free and nothing is for sale, but what it does best is keep you rolling.

Lucky Avatars Wiki

The Developer Made This Idea Famous First

This game is made by one person, and the name is a clue. Their biggest game is a lucky block fighting game that has passed 1.7 billion visits.

The developer’s games Visits
Lucky Blocks Battlegrounds 1,725,974,250
Destruction Simulator 561,970,783
Lucky Avatars 133,359,240
Skydive Off A Tower 123,042,857
Be a Paper Airplane 71,645,760
Be Santa 22,363,741

Seven games and about 2.6 billion visits between them, all from a single verified developer whose account goes back to 2012.

The second game on that list won a Bloxy Award in 2019 for favorite breakout game. The developer still lists it on their profile.

So this is not a small side project. The mechanic comes from a very large game, pointed at clothes instead of weapons.

That difference has a real consequence. Our Lucky Avatars script page covers why the fighting game has sixteen scripts written for it and this one has none at all.

Six Million Favorites and Twelve Thousand Votes

This is the strangest number here. The game has 6,076,376 favorites and 12,533 votes, which works out at about 485 favorites for every single vote.

Game Favorites per vote What that looks like
Lucky Avatars About 485 The most lopsided we have measured
Mad Chefs About 222 The previous high
Catalog Outfit Creator About 110 A page that asks for a favorite
Outfit Loader About 5.5 Slightly above normal
A typical game About 2 The usual shape
Math Murder About 0.6 Fewer saves than votes

Most games sit around two. This is the most lopsided figure we have measured anywhere, and it beats the previous high by more than double.

The vote count is the odd half, not the favorites. Only 12,533 people have voted on a game with 133 million visits, which is about one vote for every 10,600 trips.

One thing needs separating out, because it is easy to muddle. This game has its own favorite button inside it, for saving outfits you found. That is a different thing from the Roblox favorite button on the game page.

We are not going to claim the two are connected. Both numbers are worth knowing when you compare this game against anything else.

Two More Things Worth Knowing

The game page still says it is in beta testing and asks players to send bug reports to the developer. That line has been there since it opened in October 2023.

Nearly three years and 133 million visits into a beta is unusual. This is a one person game, so it reads more like a note that never came down.

There is also a second room attached to this game, and its whole job is to catch players whose connection dropped. The room is called Reestablish Connection.

That room has been visited 905,469 times. Nearly a million people have been bounced into it, which is a lot of dropped connections for a game about clothes.

Tips for New Lucky Avatars Players

  1. Keep the rolls you almost like. Fixing one wrong piece is faster than waiting for a perfect roll that may not come.
  2. Save as you go. A good outfit is gone if you leave without keeping it, and you will not roll the same one twice.
  3. Set yourself a stopping point. The average visit is seventeen minutes and the box never runs out, so it is easy to lose an evening.
  4. Buy the single item, not the whole look. The point of the game is the idea, and one piece usually carries it.
  5. Come back on another day for a different set rather than grinding one session.
  6. Do not go looking for a shop or a code. There is nothing for sale here and no currency, so nobody has bought better odds than you.

Lucky Avatars FAQ

What comes out of a lucky block?

A complete outfit put together at random, not a single item. You can then swap any piece of it you do not like.

Does opening blocks cost anything?

No. It is free and there is no limit, which is unusual for a mystery box game.

Do I keep the items?

Only if you buy them. The outfit is an idea until you pay Roblox for the pieces, and then they go into your real inventory.

Are there any codes?

No, and there never have been. The game has no currency for a code to pay into. Our Lucky Avatars codes page has the detail.

Is there a script for it?

No, nothing at all. Our Lucky Avatars script page explains why, using the developer’s other lucky block game as the comparison.

Is anything for sale?

No. There are no gamepasses and no badges, so everyone is opening the same free boxes.

Why does it say beta?

The game page has said that since October 2023. It is a one person game and the line appears never to have been taken down.

Who made it?

A verified solo developer whose seven games have about 2.6 billion visits between them, including a lucky block fighting game with over 1.7 billion.
