Catalog Outfit Creator

Last Updated: August 2026  |  What is free, what the game page has quietly dropped, and the one number that does not fit.

Catalog Outfit Creator is a fitting room for the whole Roblox catalog. You walk in, a wall of hair and clothes and accessories fills the screen, and you can put any of it on without paying a thing. Buying is the only part that costs Robux, and what you buy is a real item that follows you into every other game.

It opened in August 2021 and 76 million different people have been through it since. This page covers what is free and what is not, the five years of changes to the game’s own page, the mismatch over private servers, and one number here that is nothing like the numbers anywhere else.

How to Play Catalog Outfit Creator

There is nothing to win here and nothing to lose. A server holds 25 people and everyone in it is doing the same thing, which is standing about trying clothes on and looking at each other.

  1. Walk in. There is nothing to unlock first and no tutorial, and the badge you get on arrival is the only one the game has.
  2. Open the item grid. It fills most of the screen and it is sorted by color, which is how the game’s own pictures show it off.
  3. Pick your color before you start scrolling. The list is enormous and picking a color first is the only thing that shortens it.
  4. Click anything to put it on. Wearing an item costs nothing, so try the expensive ones too.
  5. Look at what the people around you are wearing. You can try their outfit on yourself, and that is often faster than hunting for the one piece you spotted.
  6. Save the looks you like. The game keeps them, so tomorrow you start from a finished outfit rather than from nothing.
  7. Buy only the piece you actually want. That purchase goes through Roblox and the item stays in your Roblox inventory afterwards.

Step four is the one people skip. Trying something on really is free, including hats and hair that cost more Robux than most people have ever had at once. There is no limit and nothing to spend.

Outside tracking puts the average trip at about two and a half minutes, so most people come in, sort out one look, and leave.

Catalog Outfit Creator Gameplay: What Is Free and What Is Not

What you do What it costs Worth knowing
Try an item on Nothing Every piece in the room goes on for free, including things worth thousands of Robux
Save an outfit Nothing A look you built is still there next time instead of needing rebuilding
Try another player’s outfit Nothing The whole room is browsable. This is the feature people write scripts for in other games
Hide your own avatar Nothing A button called Others can view my avatar turns the copying off for you
Buy something Robux, through Roblox It lands in your Roblox inventory and works in every other game, not just this one

The line between the two is simple. Wearing costs nothing. Owning costs Robux, and that part is handled by Roblox itself rather than by the game.

That is also why this game has no coins and nothing for sale of its own. There is not one thing on the game page that costs Robux, which is rare for something with 337 million visits behind it.

It is worth knowing what you are looking at in the promotional pictures too. All five of them are the same shot in a different color: one avatar on the left, a grid of items on the right. Four of the five are almost nothing but hair.

Five Years of Changes to the Game Page

The game itself has been quiet since December 2025, but its page has been rewritten several times. Old copies of it are kept publicly, so you can line them up and see what went.

What the game page said When What it tells you
Inspired by Catalog Avatar Creator Start of 2022 The developer’s own words, naming the much bigger game with the near identical name
Try on all Emotes in-game for Free 2022 to somewhere before 2025 Emotes were being advertised as a headline feature, and then the line was dropped
A music credit and an advertising notice Start of 2022 only Both were gone by March 2024, along with the inspired-by line
A long list of search words At least early 2025 to mid August 2026 Fourteen words tacked on the end, taken down in the last few days
VIP Servers are Free January 2022 to today The only line that has survived every rewrite. Roblox now says new ones cannot be made

The first line is the interesting one. In early 2022 the page said the game was inspired by Catalog Avatar Creator, which is the much larger game people mix this one up with. That sentence was taken down at some point before March 2024.

The page has been getting shorter, not longer. It started at twelve lines and it is down to six. Emotes, browsing and a music credit have all gone.

One thing has survived every single rewrite: the line saying private servers are free.

The Private Server Mismatch

Here are the three things we can check, and they do not sit together.

The game page has said private servers are free since January 2022 and still says it today. Roblox reports that new private servers cannot be made for this game. And people were still passing around invite links to private servers here in December 2025, four days before the last update to the game.

We are not going to guess at the reason. Check the game page yourself before you count on getting a room of your own with friends, because what it says and what Roblox reports are two different answers.

The Numbers, and One That Does Not Fit

What we counted The number
Visits 337,784,540
Different players who have walked in 76,237,577
Trips each, on average About 4
New arrivals yesterday 2,279
Likes 36,880
Dislikes 11,527
Share of votes that are likes About 76 in 100
Favorites 5,340,511
Favorites for every vote About 110
Busiest moment ever recorded 7,936 players at once, on 3 September 2022
Members in the group 96,758
Games that group has made One

Most of that is straightforward. The badge everyone gets on arrival was made ninety minutes after the game itself, so it counts every person who has ever walked in, right back to day one. That makes 76 million people and about four trips each.

The favorites line is the odd one. This game has 110 favorites for every single vote it has received. Across every game we have looked at, that number is usually closer to two.

Compare it with the game next door. Catalog Avatar Creator does the same thing on a far bigger scale, and it has 5.7 million favorites against 3.1 million votes, which works out at under two to one.

Per person the gap holds up. One in every 14 people who walks into this game favorites it. Next door it is one in 68.

The one thing worth pointing at is the last line of the game’s own page, which asks players to leave a thumbs up and a favorite. The bigger game does not ask. Beyond that we are not going to invent a reason for you.

Codes and Scripts

Both answers are short here, and both come down to the same thing. There is no currency in this game and nothing in it belongs to it.

There are no codes and there never have been. Our Catalog Outfit Creator codes page covers that and points you at the similarly named game that does run them.

There are no scripts either, and not one of the search results you will find is even filed under this game. Our Catalog Outfit Creator script page goes through where they all really point, and the one download you should walk away from.

Tips for New Catalog Outfit Creator Players

None of these cost anything and all five come from the way the room is built.

  1. Pick a color first. The grid is sorted that way and it is the only thing that makes the list a sensible length.
  2. Try the expensive things. Wearing costs nothing, so there is no reason to only look at what you could afford.
  3. Save every look you like the moment you finish it, because rebuilding one from memory takes longer than making a new one.
  4. Copy people. Trying somebody else’s outfit is a normal feature here, and it beats scrolling for the one hair you saw across the room.
  5. Turn your avatar private if being copied bothers you. The button is called Others can view my avatar.
  6. Buy through Roblox and nowhere else. Anything you pay for in here goes into your real Roblox inventory, and nothing outside the game can put an item there.

Catalog Outfit Creator FAQ

Is this the same game as Catalog Avatar Creator?

No. They are two different games by two different people, and the other one is much bigger. This game page said it was inspired by that one back in 2022. Ours for the other is the Catalog Avatar Creator wiki.

Are there any codes?

No, and there never have been in five years. Our Catalog Outfit Creator codes page explains why the game cannot really have any.

Is there a script for it?

No. Every result you find belongs to a different game. Our Catalog Outfit Creator script page shows where they all go.

Do the items I buy really stay in my inventory?

That is what the game page says, and it is how buying a Roblox item works anywhere. The purchase goes through Roblox, so the item sits in your Roblox account and works in every other game.

Does trying things on cost anything?

No. Wearing an item is free no matter what it is worth. Only buying costs Robux.

Can I stop other people copying my outfit?

Yes. There is a button called Others can view my avatar and switching it off hides your look from the room.

Are private servers really free?

The game page says so, and has since 2022. Roblox now reports that new ones cannot be made for this game, so check the game page before you count on one.

How many people play it now?

Far fewer than used to. The busiest moment ever recorded was 7,936 players at once in September 2022, and these days it is usually somewhere in the tens.

About the Studio

The game belongs to a verified Roblox group called Avatar Games, which has 96,758 members and is run by a verified account called Emir.

The group has exactly one game. All 337 million of those visits, and all 76 million of those people, came from this one room.

There are plenty of games of this shape on Roblox and several of them are much busier. We cover a few: Coded Clothing Mall, Outfit Loader, Emote Catalog and Free Items.
