Last Updated: September 2026 | Every weapon price, the parry and dodge timings in seconds, and the whole shop, checked this month.
Dueling Grounds is a sword-fighting game on Roblox. Fourteen players share a server, and once you step past the safe zone anyone out there can hit you. It opened in October 2025 and has passed 318 million visits.
The whole game is five buttons. Light attack, heavy attack, parry, block and dodge, plus an ultimate that fills as you fight. What separates a good player from a bad one is the timing on the parry. That timing is measured in frames. This page writes those frames out in seconds, and lists every weapon price and the one thing the shop sells.

How to Play Dueling Grounds
- Spawn into the safe zone. Nothing can touch you until you cross the boundary, so take your time here.
- Learn the buttons. Left click is a light attack and right click is a heavy one. F parries, or hold it to block.
- Q or Shift dodges. Middle click or T locks the camera onto whoever you are fighting.
- Step out and fight. Coins come in whether you win or lose, so a bad match is not a wasted one.
- Watch your ultimate bar. It fills on its own, and it fills faster when you land parries and deal damage. R sets it off.
- Save Coins for a second weapon, then head to the teleporter for ranked once you can hold your own.
The controls can be rebound in settings, and the game runs on PC, mobile and console.
Dueling Grounds Gameplay
Blocking cuts damage to nothing but drains your guard bar. Empty that bar and you are wide open, which is why holding block is not a plan.
A parry is the answer instead. Time it right and you take no damage and break a piece of their guard at the same time. Get it wrong and you are stuck in recovery while they swing again.
Heavy attacks are the counter to a turtle. They hit harder and they punch through a defense that is held too long. Jump attacks land hard on somebody already staggered.
There are two currencies and they do different jobs.
| Currency |
How you get it |
What it buys |
| Coins |
Playing any match, win or lose |
Weapons |
| Gems |
Winning a ranked match, or Robux |
Skins and cosmetics |
That split matters. Coins arrive from any match at all, so weapons are only a question of time. Gems need a ranked win or Robux, which makes them the harder of the two to come by.
Dueling Grounds Parry and Dodge Timings
The game runs its timing at 60 frames a second. Players have counted the windows, and they are usually written in frames. Here they are in seconds too.
| Move |
Active window |
In seconds |
Recovery |
In seconds |
| First parry |
14 frames |
0.233 seconds |
6 frames |
0.1 seconds |
| Second parry |
10 frames |
0.167 seconds |
12 frames |
0.2 seconds |
| Third parry |
8 frames |
0.133 seconds |
18 frames |
0.3 seconds |
| Dodge |
20 frames |
0.333 seconds |
4 frames |
0.067 seconds |
Read the parry rows top to bottom and the punishment is built right in. Your first parry gets 14 frames and you are back on your feet in 6. By the third the window has shrunk to 8 frames. Recovery has tripled to 18.
So spamming parry is a trap. Each one you throw makes the next harder and leaves you stuck for longer if you miss it.
Now put the dodge beside it. A dodge is active for 20 frames, more than the best parry you will ever get, and it recovers in 4. It is the safer button by a wide margin. A perfect one chains into a dash attack.
This is the number the scripts are built around
Every auto parry written for this game watches the other player’s attack animation and fires your guard inside that window. The numbers above are what they aim at. It is also why an auto parry needs a real opponent to work at all.

The five Coin weapons come to 9,800 Coins between them. That is the whole rack, and it is the only real thing to save for in this game.
The Dueling Grounds Shop Is One Item
This is the strangest thing about the game. A game with 318 million visits sells exactly one gamepass, at 395 Robux.
It is called Weapons Early Access and it unlocks all current and future early access weapons, which right now means the Curved Swords. There is nothing else on sale.
Most games this size run a shop of ten or twenty passes worth thousands of Robux. Everything else here comes out of Coins and Gems you earn by playing.
The game also keeps no badges at all. So there is no counter anywhere showing how many people have done anything. Without a total to divide by, no percentage on this page would mean a thing. We are not going to invent one.
How Ranked Works in Dueling Grounds
Ranked runs on a rating. Win and it goes up, lose and it goes down, and how much moves depends on the rating of the person you fought.
Matchmaking pairs you with people near your own rating, so the fights stay close as you climb.
Winners get Gems and both sides get Coins. The global leaderboard lists everyone by rating. The top three go up as statues on the map, and those statues change as the standings do.
One more number worth knowing. The game has 6,248,194 favorites against 1,877,872 total votes. That is 3.3 favorites for every vote, where 2 to 1 is the usual figure. People are saving this one well above the normal rate.
Tips for New Dueling Grounds Players
- Dodge before you learn to parry. The window is 20 frames against a parry’s 14, and the recovery is 4 against 6. It is the more forgiving button by a long way.
- Never throw three parries in a row. The third one has an 8 frame window and leaves you stuck for 18 if you miss.
- Use the camera lock. Middle click or T keeps you facing the person you are fighting, and everything is easier to read when you are.
- Play normal matches for Coins first. You get paid whether you win or lose, so the weapon rack is just time.
- Buy the Daggers before anything dearer. At 1,400 Coins they are the cheapest way off the starter weapon.
- Do not hold block against a heavy attack. It drains your guard bar and a heavy is built to break it.
Dueling Grounds FAQ
How long is the parry window in Dueling Grounds?
Your first parry is active for 14 frames, which is 0.233 seconds at 60 frames a second. The second is 10 frames and the third is 8.
Is dodging better than parrying?
It is safer. A dodge is active for 20 frames and recovers in 4, where the best parry is 14 active and 6 to recover. A parry pays more, because it breaks part of their guard.
How do you get Gems in Dueling Grounds?
You win a ranked match, or you buy them with Robux. Losing a ranked match still pays Coins, but only a win pays Gems. Codes are the other free source.
How much does every weapon cost?
The Katana is free. Daggers are 1,400 Coins, Naginata 1,650, Gauntlets 1,750, and both the Kusarigama and the Warhammer are 2,500. That is 9,800 Coins for the lot.
What does the Dueling Grounds gamepass do?
Weapons Early Access costs 395 Robux and unlocks every early access weapon, now and later. It is the only gamepass the game sells.
Are there codes for Dueling Grounds?
Yes, seventeen of them so far, paying Coins and Gems. Our codes page sorts them into the ones every list still calls live and the ones that are done.
Prices, timings and counts on this page were pulled in September 2026. A game update can change any of them. We are not the developer and this page is not run by the Dueling Grounds group.
