Anime Expeditions is a tower defense game on Roblox. You summon fighters out of a banner, drop them beside a path, and upgrade them while waves of enemies march by. It opened in the middle of July 2026 and has passed 759 million visits since.
The part that decides how strong you get is not the fighting. It is two spin machines. One is the banner that hands you units. The other rerolls the bonus stuck to a unit you already own. Both print their odds, and both have a safety net that pays out after enough tries. This page has the real numbers for both.

How to Play Anime Expeditions
- Open the Summon menu on the left of the screen and spend Gems on a banner. That is where units come from.
- Pick a team in the lobby, then join a stage. Story mode is the place to start.
- Place your units beside the path before the first wave walks in. Each unit has its own cap on how many copies you can put down.
- Spend the gold you earn during the match on upgrades. A unit gets more damage and more range at every level.
- Clear the stage, bank the gold and the Gems, and put them back into the banner.
- At player level 20 the Expeditions mode unlocks. That is a longer run for up to 4 players with a payload to escort and a base you build up.
Anime Expeditions Gameplay
Every unit sits in one of six bands. Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Exclusive and Secret. The game holds 82 unit entries right now. That is 53 you can get hold of, plus 29 evolved forms of those.
A unit has an element, a fighting type and a placement cap. Most units cap at 3 copies on the field. Two of them cap at 1, and two more go up to 5.
Upgrade tables top out at 12 levels, and most units land between 6 and 9. The cheapest unit is fully upgraded for 1,350 gold. The dearest wants 92,800. So where you spend gold in a match matters as much as who you place.
The roster grows fast. Of the 82 units on the books, 16 arrived with the summer update alone. Another 12 came in with the update before it.

The band rates are the same everywhere. The banner only decides which Mythic you get, not how often a Mythic shows up.

There is also a 1 percent chance that any unit you pull comes out shiny. Luck Potions add 25 percent luck and Super Luck Potions add 50, they stack, and each one lasts 10 minutes. Neither potion touches your Secret odds.
How Pity Works in Anime Expeditions
Pity is the counter that hands you the rarity for free once you have spun enough times without it. Here is the table for the two Gem banners.

Look at the last column, because it is the useful bit. Mythic sits at 0.25 percent, which is 1 in 400, and the pity is 400. Secret sits at 0.01 percent, which is 1 in 10,000, and the pity is 10,000. Both counters land on exactly the number of summons an average player would need anyway.
Legendary is the exception and it runs the other way. A 10 percent rate means one in every ten pulls on average, but the pity does not fire until 50. That one is there for a bad streak, not for the average player.
The Gem costs also tell you a flat price. Every row divides out to 50 Gems a summon. With VIP it is 40. That is a straight 20 percent off, all the way up the table.
Anime Expeditions Traits and the Second Pity
A trait is a permanent bonus stuck to one unit. You get them at the Trait Reroll machine in the lobby, and every reroll costs 1 Trait Crystal. There are 17 traits and their odds add up to exactly 100.
Four of them are Mythic, and those four are the only ones with a pity counter.

Do the division on each row and the same number comes out four times. Unbound is 1 in 1,000 with a pity of 1,500. Primordial is 1 in 500 with a pity of 750. Forsaken is 1 in 333 with 500, and Draconic is 1 in 200 with 300.
Every one of those is one and a half times the average wait. So the trait machine makes you go half again as long as luck alone would. The banner gives in right on the average. Two safety nets in one game, set at different prices.
A summoned unit can arrive with a trait already on it
The chance of that is 0.75 percent. Units you win from a stage never come with one. The summer update also gave every unit a second trait slot, so you can keep two and swap between them outside a match.

Ztrifecta is the rarest thing on this page. Seven people on Earth hold it, and two of those seven earned it in the last 24 hours.
Divine Fortune does not add up, and we would rather say so than guess. A Secret is 1 in 10,000. A shiny is 1 in 100. Put those together and a shiny Secret is near 1 in a million per summon. Yet 13,946 people hold the badge. Something else is feeding it, and we do not know what.
There is no badge for simply joining the game. Without one there is no total to divide by, so no percentage on this page would mean anything. We are not going to print one.
The shop is small for a game this size. Ten passes were ever made and seven are off sale, most of them named after a creator’s follower count. Three are still buying anything.

That is 1,797 Robux for the lot. Shiny Hunter is the only one that changes your odds, and the 3 percent shiny rate it gives you is permanent.
Tips for New Anime Expeditions Players
- Do the Beginner’s Quest first. It pays enough Beginner’s Tickets to reach the guaranteed Mythic on that banner, which is the cheapest first Mythic in the game.
- Use the Mini banner when you want one specific Mythic. It only holds one, so every Mythic pull on it is the one you are after.
- Turn Auto Sell on for Rare and Epic before a long session. Gold piles up on its own and you stop clicking through units you will never place.
- Save Trait Crystals for a unit you actually use. A pity run at Unbound is 1,500 rerolls, so spreading crystals across ten units gets you nowhere on any of them.
- Drink Luck Potions before a Mythic push, not a Secret one. They do nothing to your Secret odds and they only run 10 minutes each.
- Push to player level 20. Expeditions is the mode with the base building and the best resource payouts, and it is locked until then.
Anime Expeditions FAQ
How many summons for a guaranteed Mythic?
400 on the Standard or Mini banner, which is 20,000 Gems, or 16,000 if you own VIP. That is also roughly what average luck would cost you, since the Mythic rate is 1 in 400.
What are the odds of a Secret unit?
0.01 percent per summon, so 1 in 10,000. The pity is 10,000 summons, and at 50 Gems each that comes to 500,000 Gems.
Does the Shiny Hunter pass really triple the shiny rate?
Yes. The base shiny chance is 1 percent and the pass takes it to 3 percent. The pass costs 999 Robux and the bonus does not wear off.
Which trait is the best one to chase?
Unbound is the rarest at 0.1 percent per reroll. Its pity is 1,500 rerolls, and every reroll costs a Trait Crystal, so it is a long project on one unit.
