RIVALS Ranks: All 20 and the ELO You Need for Each

RIVALS Ranks: All 20 and the ELO You Need for Each

Ranked is where RIVALS stops being casual. You get an ELO score, it goes up when you win and down when you lose, and your rank is just a label on that number.

This page has all 20 ranks with the exact ELO each one needs, what you have to do before Ranked even opens, and the rules that quietly work against you once you are climbing. It also lists which maps actually show up in ranked play, because most of them do not.

The short version. The ladder runs from 0 ELO at Bronze I to 3,600 at Nemesis, and every tier is exactly 200 ELO above the one below it. Above that sits Archnemesis, which is not an ELO total at all. It is the top 200 players in the world.

All 20 ranks in order

Every RIVALS rank and the ELO it needs

The ELO column is the total you need to reach that tier, not the amount you need to gain from the one below.

Rank ELO you need What changes here
Bronze I 0 Where everyone starts once placements are done
Bronze II 200
Bronze III 400
Silver I 600
Silver II 800
Silver III 1,000
Gold I 1,200
Gold II 1,400
Gold III 1,600
Platinum I 1,800 Your daily ELO Shield stops from this tier up
Platinum II 2,000
Platinum III 2,200
Diamond I 2,400 The highest tier placements can give you
Diamond II 2,600
Diamond III 2,800
Onyx I 3,000 ELO decay starts applying if you stop playing
Onyx II 3,200
Onyx III 3,400
Nemesis 3,600 The top named rank you can reach on ELO alone
Archnemesis Top 200 players Not an ELO total. The top 200 players in the world

The ladder itself is flat. From Bronze I to Nemesis is 3,600 ELO split into 18 equal steps of 200, so on paper no rank is harder to reach than any other.

The climb is not as flat as the ladder

Here is the part the table does not show you. How much ELO a win is worth depends entirely on who you beat, so the same victory can be worth almost nothing or close to ten times as much.

What happens What it does to your ELO
You beat someone ranked below you about 3 ELO
You lose to someone ranked below you about 38 to 40 ELO
You beat someone ranked above you about 25 to 30 ELO
You lose to someone ranked above you about 3 ELO

What that means when you climb. Beating players below you barely moves your ELO, but losing to them takes a big bite. That is why the ladder feels slower the higher you get, even though every tier is the same 200 ELO apart.

What you need before Ranked opens

You cannot queue for Ranked straight away. The game asks for six things first, and they exist to keep cheaters on fresh accounts out of competitive matches.

Step What you need
1 Reach Level 100
2 Finish 10 standard duels, and losses count too
3 Have a Roblox account at least 14 days old
4 Finish at least 30 tasks
5 Verify the account with a phone number, a Robux purchase or an ID
6 Then play 10 placement matches to reveal your rank

Your level matters more than your placement record. The highest you can be placed is Diamond I, at about 2,500 ELO, no matter how well you play. And your account level caps it further: a level 55 player who wins all ten placements can land at Platinum I, while a level 300 player with the same ten wins can land at Diamond I.

Placement also weighs how you played over how many you won. Two wins with strong performance can place you higher than ten scrappy ones.

Two rules that cost you ELO while you are away

ELO Shields stop early. Once you have a rank you get one free shield a day, which cancels the ELO loss from a single match. It is used up whether you win or lose, and they do not stack. From Platinum I at 1,800 ELO upward you stop getting them, so the safety net is gone exactly where the climb gets harder.

ELO decay starts at Onyx I. If you are at 3,000 ELO or above and do not play a ranked match for 7 days, the game takes 100 ELO a day from day eight onward. It stops when you play again or when you fall back to 3,000, which can drop you a tier or more.

Also worth knowing. Leaving a match part way through gives you an automatic loss and a 15 minute lockout, whatever the reason. And you can only party with players within 4 tiers of you, which is 800 ELO.

Only 17 of the 39 maps show up in Ranked

RIVALS has 39 maps, but ranked play uses a much smaller set of them. Each mode has its own pool, and the three pools are not the same.

Mode Maps in the pool Which ones
Ranked 1v1 13 Arena, Bridge, Construction, Crossroads, Dimension, Docks, Onyx, Playground, Splash, Station, Studio, Village, Westown
Ranked 2v2 15 Arena, Battleground, Bridge, Construction, Crossroads, Dimension, Docks, Museum, Onyx, Playground, Splash, Station, Studio, Village, Westown
Ranked 3v3 11 Battleground, Big Arena, Bridge, Construction, Crossroads, Docks, Iceberg, Onyx, Playground, Splash, Station

Only 8 maps appear in all three modes: Bridge, Construction, Crossroads, Docks, Onyx, Playground, Splash, Station. Those are the ones worth learning properly, because you will see them whichever mode you queue.

Three maps are used in just one mode each. Museum only turns up in 2v2, while Big Arena and Iceberg only appear in 3v3.

That leaves 22 maps you will never see in a ranked match, which is more than half of them.

Map Where you will see it
Backrooms Casual and party modes only
Baseplate Casual and party modes only
Big Backrooms The oversized version, used outside ranked
Big Crossroads The oversized version, used outside ranked
Big Graveyard The oversized version, used outside ranked
Big Onyx The oversized version, used outside ranked
Big Station The oversized version, used outside ranked
Boss Arena Casual and party modes only
Chess Casual and party modes only
Factory Casual and party modes only
Graveyard Casual and party modes only
Legacy Backrooms An older version of a map, kept for casual play
Legacy Battleground An older version of a map, kept for casual play
Legacy Big Splash An older version of a map, kept for casual play
Legacy Crossroads An older version of a map, kept for casual play
Legacy Docks An older version of a map, kept for casual play
Legacy Onyx An older version of a map, kept for casual play
Legacy Sandbox An older version of a map, kept for casual play
Legacy Splash An older version of a map, kept for casual play
Obby Casual and party modes only
Sandbox Casual and party modes only
Shooting Range Casual and party modes only

Use this when you practice. If you are grinding ranked, time spent learning a Legacy or Big version of a map does not carry over, because those versions are not in any ranked pool.

Both teams ban before the match starts

Each team bans one map and two weapons before a ranked match begins. Three maps get proposed, each team bans one, and the survivor is what you play.

The starting loadout cannot be banned unless every player in the match owns more than four weapons in that category. If you want to know which weapons are worth banning, our RIVALS tier list ranks them.

Ranked also changes how the game plays. Third person is off, aim assist is cut by half, and auto shoot is locked to dynamic, which slows down heavy weapons like the sniper and the crossbow a lot.

Questions players ask

How many ranks are in RIVALS? 20. Six bands with three tiers each, then Nemesis and Archnemesis on top.

How much ELO is each rank? Bronze I starts at 0 and every tier after it is 200 more, up to Nemesis at 3,600.

What is the highest rank in RIVALS? Archnemesis, and it is not something you reach with ELO. It holds the top 200 players in the world. Around 480,756,570 people have opened RIVALS, so that is roughly one in every 2.4 million.

What do you need to play Ranked? Level 100, ten standard duels, an account at least 14 days old, 30 tasks, a verified account, and then ten placement matches.

Why did my ELO drop when I was not playing? Decay. At 3,000 ELO and above, 7 days away starts costing you 100 ELO a day until you play again or hit 3,000.

Can I get free rewards from Ranked? Yes. Each season has a ranked contract that pays out by wins, with a free skin at 200 wins, and our RIVALS skins guide covers the other ways skins come in.
