Adopt Me: How to Get Rich
“How do I make money and get the pets I really want?”
In Adopt Me, money is called Bucks, and you need it for eggs, food, toys, and homes. You earn Bucks by taking care of your pets and babies. But the players with the rarest pets did not get there from Bucks alone. They got rich by trading.
This guide shows the three ways to build up wealth: earning Bucks the fast way, getting free eggs from the daily streak, and trading small pets up into big ones. All the numbers here come straight from the game.
Once you know what your pets are worth, trading up is much easier. Keep our Adopt Me value list open while you trade.
Caring for your pets earns Bucks. Party gives the most.
The Quick Answer
Here is the short version of how to get rich in Adopt Me:
- Earn Bucks daily: you can make up to 300 Bucks a day, or 500 with the Pet Handler Pro Certificate.
- Best task: a pet Party gives 60 Bucks, the most of any task.
- Log in every day: the daily streak gives free eggs, including the Golden Egg and Diamond Egg.
- The real way to get rich: trade small pets up into rarer ones, over and over.
How Bucks Work in Adopt Me
Bucks are the money in Adopt Me. You earn them mostly by caring for your pets and babies, and you can spend them on eggs, food, toys, and houses. There is one big rule to know before you start grinding.
- There is a daily cap. You can only earn 300 Bucks per day from tasks. Once you hit it, a message says the daily reward is maxed out.
- Raise the cap to 500. The Pet Handler Pro Certificate lifts your daily limit from 300 to 500 Bucks, so you can earn more each day.
- Double Bucks weekends. Every few months the game runs a 2x weekend. Your cap doubles to 600 a day, or 1,000 with the certificate, and pets age twice as fast.
Best Tasks to Earn Bucks
Every pet and baby gets little needs called tasks, like being hungry, sleepy, or wanting to party. Filling a task gives Bucks. Here is how much each one pays, from best to smallest.
| Pet Task |
Bucks You Earn |
| Party |
60 |
| Bored or School |
20 |
| Camping or Sick |
16 |
| Dirty (give a bath) |
15 |
| Hungry, Thirsty, Ride, or Walk |
12 |
| Sleepy |
10 |
A Party is by far the best, so throw one whenever you can. Now and then the game offers a 3x Bucks bonus if you bring a certain item for a task, like the ride, walk, or hungry task. Always grab those.
Free Eggs from the Daily Streak
The easiest free money is just logging in. Adopt Me gives a Daily Reward about every 15 hours, and keeping the streak going is one of the best things you can do.
- Bucks and stars. Every five days the streak pays 300 or 500 Bucks plus a handful of stars.
- Stars buy prizes. Your stars go toward Star Rewards, a list of items you unlock as your streak grows.
- Free eggs. The big prize on the first list is the Golden Egg, and the second list ends with the Diamond Egg. These hatch some of the rarest pets in the game, for free.
- Do not break the streak. If you miss two days in a row you lose the streak, though you keep the stars you already earned.
The real way to get rich: trade small pets up, one step at a time.
The Real Way to Get Rich: Trading
Bucks and eggs are a good start, but the richest players got there by trading. The idea is simple: you start with cheap pets and trade them for slightly better ones, again and again, until you have rare pets worth a lot.
- Trade up one step at a time. Turn a few commons into an uncommon, then trade up to a rare, and keep climbing the ladder.
- Know what things are worth. Before you accept a trade, check both sides. A fair or winning trade grows your wealth, a losing one shrinks it. Our value list shows what each pet is worth.
- Get the Trade License. To trade Ultra-Rare and Legendary pets, you first pass a short safety test to unlock the Trade License. You get 18 trade slots, so you can offer a lot at once.
Boosts That Help You Earn
A few extras can speed up how fast your Bucks grow. None of them are needed to get rich, but they help if you play a lot.
- Pet Handler Pro Certificate. Raises your daily Bucks cap from 300 to 500, the single biggest boost to your earning.
- Money Tree. A pass that slowly grows Bucks for you over time, even while you do other things.
- Double Bucks weekends. Free for everyone. Save your big grinding for these, since your cap doubles.
How to Not Get Scammed
Getting rich is no fun if you lose it all in one bad trade. Scammers try to trick you in the trade window, so keep these safety rules in mind.
- Recheck before you accept. The trade timer resets to five seconds each time an item changes. Scammers swap a pet at the last second, so always look at both sides right before you tap accept.
- Never do trust trades. If someone asks you to hand over your pet first and trust them to give it back, it is a scam. Only trade through the real trade window.
- There are no free dupes. Any video or player promising a way to copy pets or get free Legendaries is fake and often a way to steal your account.
