Dress to Impress Themes
“Which theme just got called, and do you actually have the pieces to nail it?”
Last Updated: July 2026
Dress to Impress hands out a new theme almost every round, and half the fun is realizing you have no idea what to wear the second it appears on screen. A great theme can turn a plain closet into a winning outfit, and a rough one can send everyone scrambling.
The scale of it is wild. The game has passed 500 themes at this point, and the team keeps adding more with nearly every seasonal update and collaboration.
Trying to memorize all 500-plus one by one is not realistic, so this guide groups them into the categories that actually repeat, plus a look at the rare collab-only themes and exactly how a round works.
New to the game? Our Dress to Impress wiki covers the basics, and the Dress to Impress codes page lists any free cash and items you can claim.
Below is every theme category, the rare collab exclusives, and the fastest way to build an outfit before your six minutes run out.
The Quick Answer
Dress to Impress has more than 500 themes, grouped here into 8 categories: Decades & Eras, Aesthetics & Subcultures, Fantasy & Mythical, Pop Culture & Characters, Careers & Roles, Holidays & Occasions, Places & Settings, and Colors & Random. Each round gives you 360 seconds (6 minutes) and up to 18 items, and a Theme Prop lets you lock in your own custom theme instead of leaving it to chance.
How Themes Work in Dress to Impress
Before the category list, here is how a round actually plays out. Once you know the whole loop, reacting to any theme gets a lot less stressful.
1
Get your theme. Each round assigns a random theme from the pool, or you can use a Theme Prop to lock in a specific one, whether that is an old favorite or something you write yourself.
2
Style up fast. The Dressing Room gives you 360 seconds (6 minutes) and a limit of 18 equipped items, stretched to 24 if you own the Increased Item Limit gamepass.
3
Walk the runway. Everyone struts one by one in join order, using Walks and Poses to show off, while the rest of the server rates each look from 1 to 5 Stars.
4
Climb the podium. The top three scorers get a spotlight moment, then Stars and Cash go out to everyone before the next theme begins. For more of the basics, see our Dress to Impress wiki.

The in-game list runs alphabetically from A to Z with no built-in grouping, so here is every theme sorted into the categories that actually repeat round after round. Treat the exact rosters as a snapshot, since new themes join the pool with almost every update.

Why some themes disappear
Themes do get removed sometimes, and the reasons are usually about keeping the game fair and creative. Nail Tech was pulled after players stopped dressing up and just recreated the same viral look over and over. I Would Never Wear This was removed after players used it to mock other cultures, ethnicities, and religions instead of playing along in good fun. If a theme starts causing problems like that, it tends to disappear from the pool for good.
Pink rows are the go-to move for that category. The gold row is the mistake most players make first.
Limited-Time and Collab-Exclusive Themes
A handful of themes only show up during a specific event or artist collaboration. Some leave forever once the event ends, and a rare few stick around afterward.

What is a Theme Prop? It lets you skip the random draw and pick your own theme, either a fresh one you type yourself or a replay of a past round. A Theme Prop costs 75 Robux, or you can earn one free by leveling up the Baddie Pass. Other players can report your custom theme if it turns out to be inappropriate, so keep it playful.
Tips for Nailing Any Theme
- Read the theme literally before you get clever. A clear, obvious take on the prompt often scores higher than an expensive outfit that only half matches.
- Build a small starter kit for a few categories, like one fantasy staple and one decade staple, so you are never stuck at zero when the timer starts.
- Buy or earn a Theme Prop if you want to practice one specific theme instead of hoping it comes up on its own.
- If random rounds start feeling repetitive, try a Style Showdown server for an elimination-style challenge instead.
- Do not waste your whole 360 seconds second-guessing. Commit to a direction in the first minute and spend the rest on details.
- Check the Dress to Impress codes page for free cash and items before you go shopping for new pieces.
