Untitled Attack on Titan Tier List
“Which ODM gear should you actually be grinding toward?”
Last Updated: July 2026
Untitled Attack on Titan puts you on the walls with real ODM gear, and which set you are wearing changes almost everything about how a fight against a titan actually goes.
The game has pulled in more than 230 million visits since 2020, and it is still getting real updates, including new gear added well after most existing tier list guides online were written.
That gap matters here. Two guides we checked from outside sites are both stuck in 2024, before the game added a whole new top rarity above everything they ranked as S-tier.
New to the game? Our Untitled Attack on Titan wiki covers the basics, and the Untitled Attack on Titan codes page lists any free Gold or spins you can claim.
Below is the real, current gear ranking straight from the game’s own rarity data, plus exactly where the older lists went wrong.
The Quick Answer
The best gear in the game right now is Berserker Gear and Necromancer Gear, the only two items in the newest and rarest tier, Unrivaled. Neither one is forged from a Gear Shop spin. One below that, Dragon Breath Gear and Savage Demise Gear are the strongest gear you can actually spin for, and both are confirmed strong picks by every source we checked.
How Gear Rarity Works
Every piece of gear in the game has a rarity, and rarity is what actually drives how strong it is. Here is the real current ladder, from the game’s own wiki.
1
Start on Common gear. Default Gear and Alpha Model Gear, what every new player begins with. Expect to outgrow both within your first few sessions.
2
Spin for Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythical gear at the Gear Shop. The rarer the gear, the more Gold a spin costs, and the stronger the skillset you get in return.
3
Reach Unrivaled through Forgery, not spinning. Berserker Gear is made by merging Savage Demise MKII Gear with Struggler Gear. Necromancer Gear needs 150 shards, 100 forge tokens, and Prestige 2.
Gear Tier List
Here is every obtainable gear rarity band, from the current best down to what you start with.
| Tier |
Gear |
How to get it |
Note |
| Unrivaled |
Berserker Gear, Necromancer Gear |
Forge them at the Forge Shop NPC using forge tokens (and shards for Necromancer), not by spinning. |
The two newest and strongest gears in the game. Neither one shows up on older tier lists because this rarity did not exist yet when those were written. |
| Mythical |
Dragon Breath Gear, Savage Demise Gear, Gold Hunter Gear, Ambush Gear |
Spin for these at the Gear Shop once you have enough Gold saved up. |
Every outside tracker we checked agrees Dragon Breath and Savage Demise are strong picks here, which matches the game’s own rarity data. |
| Legendary |
Godly Gear, Perfect Model Gear, Commander Gear, Thunder Gear |
Also obtained from Gear Shop spins, a step down in cost and rarity from Mythical. |
Perfect Model Gear used to be called Perfect Gear on older guides before the developers renamed it, which is why some trackers still rank a page that technically no longer exists under that name. |
| Epic / Rare |
Thunder Spear Gear, Boosted Gear, Medic Gear |
Thunder Spear drops from the Gear Shop; Boosted and Medic show up earlier in progression. |
Fine mid-game options, but every one of them gets outclassed once you can afford a Legendary spin. |
| Common |
Default Gear, Alpha Model Gear |
What you start with, no spinning required. |
Expect to replace both of these within your first few sessions. |
Why older tier lists are missing the best gear in the game
Most gear tier list guides you will find online for this game were written before the developers added the Unrivaled rarity, so their “S-tier” picks are really just today’s Mythical tier.
One older guide even lists a gear called “Perfect Gear” in its top tier. That gear got renamed to Perfect Model Gear, and it is only Legendary rarity today, two full tiers below the real best gear in the game.
Rarity is what actually drives gear power in this game, straight from the game’s own wiki.
Where Trackers Disagree
Gold Hunter Gear is the biggest swing we found between outside sources: one ranks it S-tier, another ranks it all the way down at B-tier. Both agree Dragon Breath Gear and Savage Demise Gear are strong, which lines up with their real Mythical rarity.
Struggler Gear is worth a special mention. It is gated behind Prestige 5, which sounds like an endgame reward, but the game’s own wiki calls it a “filler gear” whose real purpose is being merged into Berserker Gear. Do not expect it to perform like a top-tier pick on its own.
Tips for Building Your Loadout
- Save Gold for a Mythical spin rather than settling for the first Legendary gear you can afford. The jump in power is real.
- Treat Struggler Gear as a stepping stone toward Berserker Gear, not a final pick.
- Farm shards from titans and soldiers early if you are aiming for Necromancer Gear, since it needs 150 of them plus forge tokens.
- Do not fully trust any single outside tier list for this game. Several were written before Unrivaled gear existed.
- Check the Untitled Attack on Titan codes page for free Gold before your next Gear Shop spin.
Untitled Attack on Titan Tier List FAQ
What is the best gear in Untitled Attack on Titan?
Berserker Gear and Necromancer Gear, the only two Unrivaled-rarity gears in the game. Both are made through Forgery rather than a Gear Shop spin.
What is the best gear you can spin for?
Dragon Breath Gear and Savage Demise Gear, both Mythical rarity. Every outside source we checked agrees these are strong picks, even though they were written before Unrivaled gear existed.
How do you get Berserker Gear?
Merge Savage Demise MKII Gear with Struggler Gear at the Forge Shop NPC using forge tokens.
How do you get Necromancer Gear?
You need 150 shards (a currency that drops from titans and soldiers), 100 forge tokens, and a minimum of Prestige 2, then forge it at the Forge Shop NPC.
Is Perfect Gear still in the game?
The gear was renamed to Perfect Model Gear. It is Legendary rarity today, which is why older guides that still call it “Perfect Gear” and rank it S-tier are out of date.
Does Untitled Attack on Titan have codes?
