Delete Your Roblox Account
“Permanently close your account and remove your data the official way.”
Last Updated: June 2026
Maybe you are taking a break, cleaning up an old profile, or just want your data off the platform. Whatever the reason, you can permanently delete your Roblox account.
Here is the part that trips most people up: Roblox does not have a one-click “delete my account” button buried in the settings. Instead, you ask Roblox to delete it by sending a request to their support team.
Once you send that request and confirm who you are, your account goes into a deletion queue with a 30-day waiting period. During that window the account is locked, and if you do not log back in, it is gone for good.
Deletion is final. You lose your Robux, your limiteds, your inventory, your friends list, and any progress, with no refunds and no recovery afterwards.
Well, if you are sure that is what you want, read the warning box first and then follow the official steps below.
Before You Delete: Read This First
This cannot be undone:
- You lose everything on the account – all Robux, limited items, gear, and game progress are erased with no refund.
- Cancel Premium first – if you pay for Roblox Premium or any subscription, cancel it before you delete so you are not billed again.
- Consider a break instead – if you only want time away, you can simply log out and turn off notifications rather than deleting for good.
- Save anything you care about – screenshot your creations, note friend usernames, or transfer group ownership before the account is closed.
How to Permanently Delete Your Roblox Account
1
Cancel Premium and any subscriptions
Start by stopping any recurring payments so you are not charged after the account is gone.
– Open Roblox, click the gear icon, and go to Settings then Billing
– Cancel Roblox Premium and any active subscriptions
– If you subscribed through an app store, cancel from your Apple or Google account too
2
Open the Roblox Support form
All deletion requests go through Roblox Support, so head to the official support page.
– Visit roblox.com/support in any browser
– You do not need to be logged in to fill out the form
3
Fill in your account details
Roblox needs to know exactly which account to close, so enter your details carefully.
– Type the email address linked to the account
– Enter the exact username you want deleted
– Add a contact email where support can reach you
4
Choose the right help category
Pick the options that route your message to the data privacy team.
– For “Type of Help,” choose Billing and Account or Account Issues
– For the help category, select Data Privacy Request or Delete My Account
5
Request permanent deletion and verify your identity
In the description box, clearly write that you want to permanently delete your Roblox account and include your username again. Being direct here avoids back-and-forth.
Roblox will reply to confirm your identity and your intent. For security, they usually ask you to upload a photo of a government-issued ID so only the real owner can close the account.
6
Wait out the 30-day deletion window
Once your request is approved, the account enters a deletion queue and is locked for about 30 days.
– Do not log in during this period, since signing in can cancel the deletion
– After the window closes, the account and its data are permanently removed
If support is slow to respond or you hit a snag, feel free to message us and we will point you in the right direction.
Deleting Your Account FAQ
Can you delete a Roblox account instantly?
No. There is no instant delete button, and every request runs through Roblox Support with a roughly 30-day waiting period before the account is fully removed.
Can you recover your account after deleting it?
Only during the 30-day window. If you log back in before it ends, the deletion is cancelled, but once that window closes the account is gone for good with no way to restore it.
Do you get a refund on Robux when you delete your account?
No. Roblox does not refund Robux, Premium payments, or purchases when an account is deleted, so spend or transfer anything valuable beforehand.
How do I delete my child’s Roblox account?
A parent or guardian can request it through the same support form. You will need to verify your identity and your relationship to the account holder before Roblox closes it.
Is deleting the same as deactivating?
No. Roblox does not offer a simple deactivate switch, so your real choices are a permanent deletion request or just stepping away by logging out and muting notifications.
What happens to my username after deletion?
Your profile is removed and the account can no longer be accessed. Roblox does not hand your old username over to other players, so it is not something anyone can grab right after you leave. If you plan to start fresh, our Roblox username generator can help you land a cool new name for your next account.
Need help with your request?
Deletion options can depend on your country and account type. For the latest process and to track your request, use the official Roblox Support form or visit Roblox Help directly.
