Dungeon Quest Tier List
“Which class should you play, and what gear should you actually be chasing?”
Last Updated: July 2026
Dungeon Quest has been one of Roblox’s go-to dungeon crawlers since 2018, and picking the right class plus knowing what gear to farm for makes a real difference in how fast you progress.
Unlike a lot of other Roblox RPGs, Dungeon Quest does not really have a competitive tier list to search for. Gear power is tied almost entirely to which dungeon it drops from, so a piece from a later dungeon is nearly always stronger than the same rarity from an earlier one. That is a design choice, not a balance debate.
What actually matters is picking a class that fits how you want to play, then knowing what the current best gear looks like so you are farming the right dungeon instead of an outdated one.
New to the game? Our Dungeon Quest wiki covers the basics, and the Dungeon Quest codes page lists any free gold or gems you can claim.
Below is how the four classes compare, and exactly what gear is worth farming for right now.
The Quick Answer
There is no real competitive class tier list in Dungeon Quest since each class fills a different role. Mage is the strongest pick early on thanks to range and more abilities, Warrior catches up and scales harder in the late game, and Tank and Healer exist to support a team rather than solo-carry. For gear, the best current items all come from Abyssal Void, the 17th and current final dungeon: the Voidborn armor sets plus Voidspire and Abyssal Veil or Voidfallen’s Effigy and Edict at Ultimate rarity.
How Progression Actually Works
Before comparing classes and gear, here is the loop everything below is built around.
1
Pick a class. Warrior, Mage, Tank, or Healer. Your class does not affect what items drop, only which gear and abilities you should be using.
2
Clear dungeons in order. There are 17 regular dungeons in Dungeon Quest, each with a level requirement and its own set of best armor drops.
3
Farm the newest dungeon you can access. Because gear scales with progression, the newest dungeon you can clear almost always has the best available loot for your level.
4
Check the rarity ladder. Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary apply to both armor and weapons, while Ultimate is a weapon-only rarity above Legendary found in the endgame dungeon. Check Dungeon Quest codes for free gold to speed up gearing.
The Classes Compared
Each class plays completely differently, so “best” really depends on whether you are soloing content or running with a team.
| Class |
Role |
How It Plays |
Note |
| Warrior |
Melee physical DPS |
Deals damage through their weapon plus physical abilities. Strength scales with the weapon’s physical damage and the armor’s physical power. |
Weaker early on since there are fewer Warrior abilities than Mage ones, but scales harder as the game goes on. |
| Mage |
Ranged spell DPS |
Deals damage entirely through magic abilities, with power scaling from the weapon and armor’s spell power. |
Strongest in the early game thanks to range and more abilities, though Warriors catch up over time. |
| Tank |
Taunt and damage soak |
Wears a full guardian armor set with a Mage weapon so they can heal themselves while taunting enemies away from the team. |
Usually switches entirely to healing during boss fights, since most bosses ignore taunts. |
| Healer |
Team support |
Also wears guardian armor with a Mage weapon, but invests almost every skill point into stamina to keep healing output high. |
Exists purely to keep the team alive rather than deal damage or tank hits. |
Why there is no real class tier list
We looked for a current ranked community tier list and only found empty, unfilled community tier-maker templates with no actual votes or consensus behind them.
That is because Warrior, Mage, Tank, and Healer are not competing for the same job. Warrior and Mage are the two damage options, while Tank and Healer exist to support a group. Picking between them is a playstyle choice, not a strength ranking.
Abyssal Void is confirmed as the 17th, current, and final dungeon, so this is the real current best-in-slot gear, not a guess.
Best Current Gear
Abyssal Void is the newest and final dungeon in Dungeon Quest right now, which makes its drops the strongest gear available. Here is what to farm for.
| Item |
Rarity |
Where It Drops |
Note |
| Voidborn Warrior / Mage / Guardian Set |
Best current armor |
Abyssal Void (Insane/Nightmare) |
One matching set per class family, the strongest armor currently in the game. |
| Voidspire & Abyssal Veil |
Ultimate |
Abyssal Void bonus boss |
Ultimate is the rarity above Legendary and is weapon-only. |
| Voidfallen’s Effigy & Edict |
Ultimate |
Abyssal Void bonus boss |
The other Ultimate-rarity weapon pair from the current final dungeon. |
| Voidborn’s Malice / Embrace |
Legendary |
Abyssal Void |
A strong Legendary-rarity alternative if the Ultimate drops have not shown up yet. |
Why does gear power just come from the newest dungeon? Dungeon Quest is built as a straight progression ladder rather than a balance-patched competitive game. Each of the 17 dungeons unlocks at a higher level than the last and drops correspondingly stronger armor and weapons. That means there is rarely a reason to farm an older dungeon once you can clear a newer one at the same rarity, since the newer drop is almost always the stronger pick.
Tips for Picking a Class and Gearing Up
- Pick Mage if you want an easier early game with more abilities and range, or Warrior if you plan to push into the late game where melee scaling catches up.
- Only pick Tank or Healer if you are planning to run with a group. Both classes rely on teammates to actually deal damage.
- Put skill points into stamina if you are struggling to survive rather than only maxing your damage stat, since an item with points in the wrong category is considered cursed and worth less to traders.
- Farm the newest dungeon you can clear at your level rather than replaying an older one for the same rarity gear.
- Save Ultimate-rarity weapon drops from Abyssal Void’s bonus boss. They are currently the strongest weapon tier in the game.
- Check the Dungeon Quest codes page for free gold before a big gearing push.
Dungeon Quest Tier List FAQ
What is the best class in Dungeon Quest?
There is no single best class since each one fills a different role. Mage is the strongest early-game pick thanks to range and ability count, Warrior scales harder late-game, and Tank and Healer are built for supporting a team rather than soloing.
Does your class affect item drops in Dungeon Quest?
No. Your class only determines which gear and abilities you should be using, not what items drop from a dungeon.
What is the best gear in Dungeon Quest right now?
The Voidborn Warrior, Mage, and Guardian armor sets, plus Ultimate-rarity weapons like Voidspire and Abyssal Veil or Voidfallen’s Effigy and Edict, all from Abyssal Void, the current final dungeon.
What is the highest rarity in Dungeon Quest?
Ultimate is the highest rarity, but it is weapon-only and currently limited to Abyssal Void’s bonus boss. For armor, Legendary is the highest available rarity.
Is Dungeon Quest still being updated in 2026?
Yes, though not with brand-new dungeons right now. Abyssal Void, released in October 2024, is confirmed as the 17th and current final dungeon, and the game still receives smaller balance and event updates.
Does Dungeon Quest have codes?
Check our Dungeon Quest codes page for the current list. Codes usually hand out free gold or gems to speed up gearing.
