How to Play Mad Chefs
There are two jobs and they want opposite things. That is the whole game, and it is the bit most people get wrong on their first go.
- Check the player count on the game page first. As things stand no servers are running, so there may be nothing to join.
- Walk in and collect five badges at once. They arrive on their own and none of them asks you to do anything.
- Find out which job you have. You are either a chef or a customer, and the two play nothing alike.
- As a chef, catch customers and cook them. Rolling pins, cleavers and ovens are all in play, and the results are cartoon rather than nasty.
- As a customer, stay away from the chefs and make a nuisance of yourself. Getting cooked is the thing you are avoiding.
- Watch all eight people, not just the one chasing you. A server this small means everyone can see everyone.
- Ignore the shop until you know which job you like. Two of the five passes are just different roles.
Step one is not usually part of a guide, but it matters here. The game currently has no servers running, so check before you set aside time for it.

Those numbers do not sit together comfortably. A game with 207 million visits behind it had nearly three thousand people in it at once within the last month, and has had nobody at all for the past week.
The page has not been taken down. It still loads, it is not age restricted, and the game itself was updated on 16 August 2026.
We are not going to guess at the reason, and it may be temporary. The honest thing is to give you the dates and let you look for yourself.

Look at how close those numbers are. From the highest to the lowest is 43,280, which on figures this size is about a tenth of one per cent. Nothing separates them, so nothing you do in the game earns one over another.
Three are single letters with joke descriptions, one says Welcome, and the fifth has no description at all.
They are still useful for one thing. Because everyone gets them on arrival, they count how many different people have ever walked in, and that is about 41.6 million. Set against 207 million visits, the average person came back five times.
Nearly Nine Million Favorites, and Forty Thousand Votes
This game has 8,993,426 favorites and 40,383 votes. That is about 222 favorites for every single vote.
For comparison, the biggest avatar shop game on Roblox runs at under two to one, which is the normal shape. Another game we looked at the same day runs at 110 to 1 and asks players for a favorite on its own page.
This one does not ask. Its description is two sentences long and requests nothing.
Per person it works out at about 1 in every 4.6 people who walked in. The normal figure is nearer 1 in 68. We are not going to invent a reason for that, but it is worth knowing when you see the favorite count next to the rating.
The rating itself is on the low side. About 68 in every 100 votes are likes, which is the lowest of any game we have written up recently.

Four things in about five weeks, from the end of December 2024 to the end of January 2025. That is a fast pace for a small team.
Then it stops. Nothing else was ever announced that way except a three day spell in October 2025 when the name simply carried the word fixed.

Five passes, 1,325 Robux for the lot, and every one went on sale within ten weeks of the game opening. Nothing has been added since December 2024.
Manager and Master Chef are jobs rather than powers, so those two change what you do in a round. Turn GOLD Everything is cosmetic, and Leek Weapon is a leek.

Tips for New Mad Chefs Players
- Check the player count before anything else. There is no point learning a game you cannot get into.
- Play both jobs before deciding you dislike it. Chef and customer are close to two different games.
- As a customer, keep moving and keep other players between you and the kitchen.
- As a chef, herd rather than chase. Eight people in a small room means cutting somebody off works better than running them down.
- Do not buy a role pass until you have played the free version of that role.
- Do not expect the badges to mean anything. All five arrive at the door and none of them marks an achievement.
