Hide the Body

Last Updated: August 2026  |  Badge, shop and player numbers checked against the live game.

Hide the Body is a comedy game about tidying up after an uninvited guest. Somebody ends up on the floor of a cartoon apartment, and you have a fridge, a wardrobe, a bath and a bin to work with. Get the body out of sight, collect the coins, and do it again with the next one. It is cheerful rather than grim, and the whole round takes under six minutes.

This page covers how far players actually get, what the three passes do, the second lobby most people never open, and the strange shape of a game that has already been thirty times busier than it is today.

How to Play Hide the Body

  1. Look for the hiding spots before you need one. The fridge, the wardrobe, the bath and the bin turn up in almost every house.
  2. Drag the body somewhere out of sight. Anywhere that closes is better than anywhere that does not.
  3. Collect the coins for it. Coins are what everything else in the game runs on.
  4. Spend them on crates rather than saving forever. Crates are where the items come from.
  5. Do five bodies in your first session. That is the badge three quarters of players never reach.
  6. Bring friends. Servers hold fifteen and the developer says outright that the game is better with them.
  7. Look for the second lobby once you know the game. Most players never open it.

Hide the Body Gameplay: Bodies, Coins and Crates

The loop is short and it repeats. A body appears, you move it somewhere nobody will look, and you get paid. Then the next one turns up.

What grows on top of it is the shop side. Coins buy crates, crates hold items, and there are quests and classes layered on as well. All of that arrived in the game’s first six months.

The developer credits the idea openly, saying the game was inspired by another one about hiding bodies. That is unusual and it is worth noting, because most games in this shape pretend they invented it.

Servers hold fifteen and usually run about eight, and a round is under six minutes. It is built for dropping in with friends rather than for long sessions.

How Far People Get

Milestone Players who got there Share of everyone who joined
Joined the game More than 84 million This is the welcome badge
5 bodies 22,819,096 About 27 in every 100
10 bodies 6,767,592 About 8 in every 100
15 bodies 1,793,897 About 2 in every 100
20 bodies 642,868 Under 1 in every 100
25 bodies 277,931 About 1 in every 302

The first five bodies are the wall. Nearly three quarters of everybody who joins never get that far, and no later step loses anything like as many.

After that the game turns friendly. Each stretch of five keeps a bigger share than the one before it, and of the players who reach twenty bodies, more than four in ten go on to twenty five.

One fair caveat. The badges were added about a month after the game opened, so a few early players are missing from these counts and every share reads slightly high.

What You Can Buy

Pass Price What it does
2x Coins 299 Robux Doubles what you earn, and the only pass that touches the grind
Boombox 129 Robux Play music by ID, and the developer marks it permanent
More items to use 99 Robux Ten extra items to use, in the developer’s words

Three passes and 527 Robux for the lot, which is a small shop for a game with this many players. All three were made in the game’s first two months and nothing has been added since.

Only the coin doubler changes how fast you progress. The boombox and the extra items are for messing about, which in a game about stuffing people into fridges is fair enough.

The Rise And The Fall

This game got very big very fast. It opened on 1 June 2025 and by 15 July it had 62,488 players in it at once, which is the biggest number we have measured on any game in this run.

Today it runs around a thousand. That is roughly one and a half percent of its own record, and it is the steepest fall we have come across.

The visits tell the other half of the story. It has taken 381 million of them in fifteen months, which is more than any other game on this site has managed in that time, so the fall is from a very high place.

It is also still being worked on. The last update landed the day before this page was written, and the studio has a new game in progress alongside it.

The Second Lobby, And What The Title Told Us

There are three separate places inside this game, not one. The main house is where you land, and beyond it sit a second area and a pro lobby that most players never open.

The game’s own title has been a changelog, too. It carried a skins tag in July 2025, an update tag through that summer, a quests tag in August and a classes tag in December.

That matters if you are hunting for codes, because every code this game ever released went out beside one of those pushes.

Codes and Scripts

Seven codes have been released and all seven have expired. Our Hide the Body codes page has the full list, the list that is still wrong about one of them, and where the code box hides behind two menus.

Three scripts load and all three are keyless. Our Hide the Body script page has them, plus why the infinite cash one is dead and why the one aimed at other players is left off.

Tips for New Hide the Body Players

  • Pick the closest hiding spot, not the cleverest one. Time matters more than the spot.
  • Learn one house first. The same furniture turns up across the maps.
  • Push through the first five bodies in one sitting. That is where most players quit.
  • Spend coins on crates instead of hoarding them. There is nothing to save up for.
  • Leave the coin doubler until you know you are staying. It is most of the shop’s price.
  • Play with friends in a full server. Fifteen people make it a comedy rather than a chore.
  • Come back after an update. Every code this game has released came out beside one.
