Last Updated: August 2026 | Badge, mode and shop numbers checked against the live game.
Last Letter is one rule, played fast, against up to 29 other people. Somebody types a word, and whoever is next has to type one starting with the letter that word ended on, before the timer runs out. Miss it and you are executed, and the last player at the table wins.
It is one of the best liked games we have written up, at about 96 votes in every 100. This page has the four rooms most players never open, all seven badges, what the styles are for, and the reason the badge list has a hole in the middle of it.

How to Play Last Letter
- Watch the last letter of the word before yours. That is the only rule and everything else follows from it.
- Type something short and legal rather than something clever. A four letter word in time beats a long one too late.
- Learn what to do with awkward endings. Y, K and X are what knock most people out.
- Join the group before you try a code. Nothing redeems until you are a member.
- Spend your spins on styles. They are the abilities that change how a round plays.
- Try the other rooms once you know the basics. There are four, not one.
- Look words up after the round, never during. The developers ask for exactly that.
Last Letter Gameplay: Words, Styles and Spins
A round is a circle of players and a timer. The word passes round, each one starting where the last finished, and the pressure comes from how quickly it gets back to you.
Styles are the layer on top. You spin for them, and each one has an ability that changes the round rather than making your words better.
Spins come from three places and all three are free: codes, logging in daily, and finishing tasks. Tokens work the same way.
The developers say there is no pay to win here, and the shop backs that up. Nothing in it sells you a word, extra time or a hint.

Most players only ever see the room they land in. There are four separate ones, and nothing on the game page tells you that.
Express is the one to try first if a full round feels long. The pro server is the opposite, and it is where the leaderboard players live.

There is a hole in the middle of that list and it is the strangest thing about this game. Three badges have more than 21 million holders. The next one down has 2,094.
Nothing sits between them. You get one for your first execution, one for your first win, and then the game stops counting until you have removed a thousand people.
Look at what they are, too. Every single badge here is won off somebody else. There is nothing for collecting, nothing for time played and nothing for reaching a level.
The two at the bottom are the real trophies. A hundred and four players have beaten the developer one against one, and thirty two have made the all-time top ten.
One caveat. The badges arrived four and a half months after the game opened, so the earliest players are missing and every count here is a floor.

Five passes and 771 Robux for all of them, which is cheap for a game with 133 million visits. Nothing has ever been taken off sale.
Read the list against the developers’ claim. They say no pay to win, and there really is nothing here that helps you find a word or buys you more time.
The pistol pack is the one that tells you the game’s sense of humour. It is a set of guns for the moment somebody runs out of time.
The Milestone Ladder
Nearly every code this game gives out is a milestone, and that makes the next one easy to predict.
There have been likes codes at 2,000, 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, 60,000, 150,000, 250,000, 300,000, 350,000, 400,000 and 450,000. The game is at about 482,000 now.
Visits work the same way, with codes at one million, twenty million, fifty million and a hundred million. It has passed 133 million.
So you can watch the counters on the game page and know roughly when the next one is coming. That is a nicer answer than most games give.
Codes and Scripts
There are more than twenty working codes and the developers print three of them on the game page. Our Last Letter codes page has the full list and the group step you must do first.
Scripts are a no here, and the developers already wrote the reason. Our Last Letter script page explains it in their words.
Tips for New Last Letter Players
- Keep a few short words for hard letters in your head. That is the whole skill.
- Type first, think second. The timer punishes hesitation more than a plain word.
- Redeem the codes on day one. Twenty of them beats grinding for spins.
- Log in daily even if you do not play. The spins add up on their own.
- Try Express when a full round feels slow, and the pro server when it feels easy.
- Look words up after the round. It is allowed and it is how you get quicker.
- Watch the like counter. The next code is usually the next round number.
Last Letter FAQ
How do you play Last Letter?
Type a word starting with the last letter of the word before yours, before the timer runs out. The last player left wins.
How many game modes are there?
Four. The main table, Express, Wilderness and a pro server, and they live as separate rooms.
Does Last Letter have codes?
Yes, more than twenty. Three of them are printed by the developers on the game page itself.
Why do my codes say invalid?
You have to like the game and join the MmiiGames group first. Nothing redeems until you do.
What is the rarest badge?
Reaching the all-time top ten wins board, held by 32 players. Beating the developer one against one is next at 104.
Is it pay to win?
The developers say no, and the shop supports them. None of the five passes helps you find a word or buys you time.
How busy does it get?
Its record is 18,516 players at once, set on 6 December 2025.
