Evade is a survival horror game where you and a group of players are hunted by Nextbots, creepy image-faced entities that chase you across rotating maps. Your only job is to stay alive long enough to escape.
Evade rode the Nextbot trend to huge popularity, and it has stayed there. The game is pulling close to 28,000 concurrent players right now, with 8.82 billion total visits, and it just added a new wave of 3D Nextbots from a summer 2026 collab. This wiki covers how to play, the gear you can use, tips, and a FAQ, with links to our codes, script, and nextbots pages at the bottom.

How to Play Evade
- Drop into a round with other survivors as Nextbots start spawning in to hunt everyone down.
- Run, dodge, and hide using the map’s layout. Tight maps favor sneaking, open ones favor outrunning.
- Jump while sprinting. It is faster than a plain sprint and often faster than the Nextbot chasing you.
- Use gear like lights, a Radar, or a Decoy Panel to buy yourself an escape window.
- Reach the extraction point before time or the Nextbots catch up to you.
- Spend coins earned from surviving rounds on cosmetics like skins and trails.
Evade Gameplay: Gear and Survival
The core loop is simple to learn and hard to master: survive, extract, repeat. Nextbots come in all kinds of speeds and behaviors, and most are slightly slower than a sprinting player, so movement knowledge matters more than raw luck.
Gear gives you an edge when a chase goes wrong:
| Gear |
What It Does |
| Lights and Night Vision |
See in dark areas without giving away your position with noise |
| Radar |
Reveals nearby Nextbot positions for a short time |
| Decoy Panel |
Creates a 5-second decoy replica of you to buy an escape window |
| Grapple and Stun Baton |
Movement and a last-resort way to slow a bot down |
| Defib |
Revives a downed teammate before they are fully out |
More than 150 Nextbots exist in the game across common, special, and limited-time categories, including the newest 3D Nextbots from a recent collab. For the full roster and how to survive each one, see our Evade nextbots guide.
What’s Fun and What Gets Frustrating
The atmosphere is genuinely unsettling in the best way. The Nextbot sounds, the music that kicks in when you are being chased, and the moment one turns a corner right in front of you make it one of the more effective horror experiences on Roblox.
That said, it has rough edges. Grinding coins for cosmetics takes a while, some rounds feel unfair when you spawn close to a fast Nextbot with no time to react, and lag at the wrong moment can end your round instantly. None of that has slowed the game down, though. It is still one of the most played horror titles on Roblox, and it keeps getting new Nextbots and events.
Tips for New Evade Players
- Learn to jump-sprint. It is a small habit that outruns most Nextbots in the game.
- Watch and listen for warning signs, like an idle sound or a screen flicker, before a Nextbot is even visible.
- Do not panic-run in a straight line. Turning around obstacles breaks a lot of Nextbot pathing.
- Save a Decoy Panel or Defib for the moment you actually need it, not the first sign of danger.
- Learn the maps’ hiding spots. Knowing a good corner beats outrunning a bot most of the time.
- Check our nextbots guide before a round if a specific Nextbot keeps catching you.
