Escape the Rooms

Last Updated: August 2026  |  About 1 player in 89 escapes all 135 rooms. Here is where everybody else stops.

Escape the Rooms is 135 locked rooms in a row, and every one of them is a different trick. One hides a key, one fills the corridor with red beams, and one wants you to use an emote in the right spot. Up to 18 people share a server, so you can bring friends and race to see who gets out first.

The game hands out a badge every five rooms, all the way from five to 135, and those 27 counters show exactly where players stop. This page has all of them, the point where most give up, the free item you can pick up in ten seconds, and the two things the game sells.

How to Play Escape the Rooms

There is no timer and no score. You go through the rooms in order, and the game remembers how far you got.

  1. Open the game and you land in a room with up to 17 other people. You can bring friends and race them.
  2. Look around the whole room before you touch anything. The way out is nearly always a key, a button or a switch.
  3. Try your emotes if the room seems to have no answer. Some rooms want you to dance or wave in the right spot.
  4. Keep away from the red beams. They are the trap the game puts in front of you most often.
  5. Join the group first if you can. Members get a free gravity coil, and jumping higher reaches keys that sit on top of things.
  6. Count in fives. A badge lands every five rooms, so you always know how far along you are.

The game is one long run rather than a set of levels you pick from. Whatever room you stopped at is where you start again.

Escape the Rooms Gameplay: How Far People Really Get

A badge lands every five rooms, and each one keeps a count. Set them all out and you can see the whole run.

17,670,528 players hold the badge for opening the game, so that is the number every share below is measured against.

Rooms escaped Players with the badge Share of everyone who started
5 rooms 14,858,551 84.1 in every 100
10 rooms 11,922,744 67.5 in every 100
15 rooms 10,423,724 59.0 in every 100
20 rooms 7,936,782 44.9 in every 100
25 rooms 6,373,424 36.1 in every 100
30 rooms 5,035,542 28.5 in every 100
35 rooms 4,724,115 26.7 in every 100
40 rooms 3,933,426 22.3 in every 100
45 rooms 3,659,945 20.7 in every 100
50 rooms 3,275,629 18.5 in every 100
55 rooms 2,056,771 11.6 in every 100
60 rooms 1,596,328 9.0 in every 100
65 rooms 1,172,627 6.6 in every 100
70 rooms 1,122,834 6.4 in every 100
75 rooms 1,058,179 6.0 in every 100
80 rooms 968,658 5.5 in every 100
85 rooms 914,499 5.2 in every 100
90 rooms 884,790 5.0 in every 100
95 rooms 811,141 4.6 in every 100
100 rooms 745,448 4.2 in every 100
105 rooms 516,344 2.9 in every 100
110 rooms 316,547 1.8 in every 100
115 rooms 298,163 1.7 in every 100
120 rooms 267,686 1.5 in every 100
125 rooms 225,881 1.3 in every 100
130 rooms 205,415 1.2 in every 100
135 rooms 199,556 1.1 in every 100

84 in every 100 clear the first five rooms. 45 clear twenty, 18 clear fifty, four clear a hundred, and one clears the lot.

Two things are worth knowing before you lean on those shares. The welcome badge was made about three and a half weeks after the game opened, so the very first players are missing from it.

The badges for 105 rooms and above were also made three weeks later than the one for 100. A few people who got that far early would have had nothing to collect at the time.

Escape the Rooms

The Wall Is Room 50

3,275,629 players escaped 50 rooms. Only 2,056,771 escaped 55. That is 37 in every 100 gone in one step of five rooms.

The step before it loses 10 in 100 and the step after it loses 22. So room 50 to 55 is the steepest part of the run by a wide margin.

Both of those badges were made on the same day, which is what makes this one worth trusting. Neither counter had a head start on the other.

If you are stuck somewhere in the fifties, you are stuck in the same place as almost everybody else. It gets gentler again after 55.

The Whole Game Was Built in Seven Weeks

The badges carry the dates they were made, and they line up into a build order.

Rooms 5 to 20 got their badges on 3 August 2025. Rooms 25 to 45 followed on 20 August, and then eleven more rungs, all the way from 50 to 100, were made in a single day on 22 August.

Rooms 105 to 125 came on 12 September and the last two on 20 September. That is a game going from about twenty rooms to 135 in roughly seven weeks.

Nothing has been added since. The room count is written into the game’s own name, it changed from 125 to 135 in October 2025, and it has read 135 ever since.

The game itself is still being worked on and was last updated on 22 August 2026. If the number in the name moves, new rooms have landed.

Two Coils, and One of Them Is Free

The game sells two things and gives away a third. All three help you move, which tells you what the rooms actually ask of you.

Item Price What it is
Gravity coil Free Jump much higher. You get it for joining the group.
Speed Coil 49 Robux Run faster between one room and the next.
Laser Gun 349 Robux The dearest thing in the game, in a game about dodging lasers.

The free one is the one to take first. The game page says group members get a gravity coil, joining takes a few seconds, and jumping higher reaches keys that sit on top of shelves and crates.

Both paid items went on sale on 23 August 2025, the day after those eleven room badges were made. Nothing has been added to the shop since.

Private servers are switched off in this game, so there is no way to buy a room to yourself.

Tips for New Escape the Rooms Players

  • Join the group before your first room. The free gravity coil is the single most useful thing here and it costs nothing.
  • Walk the whole room first. Most rooms hide one small thing, and running about wastes more time than looking does.
  • Bring a friend. Eighteen people share a server, and two sets of eyes beat one on a key tucked behind a shelf.
  • Try an emote when you are stuck. The game says outright that some rooms want one, and people forget.
  • Expect the fifties to hurt. More players stop between room 50 and room 55 than at any other point.
  • Watch the badges, not a timer. One lands every five rooms, so you always have something close to aim at.

Escape the Rooms FAQ

How many rooms are there?

135. The number is written into the game’s own name, and it has said 135 since October 2025.

How many people finish it?

199,556 hold the badge for 135 rooms, against 17,670,528 who hold the welcome badge. That is about 1 in 89.

Where do most players stop?

Between room 50 and room 55. That one step of five rooms loses 37 in every 100 players who reach it.

Is there a code?

No. This game has no reward codes and nowhere to type one. A four digit code from the studio does show up in searches for it, and our Escape the Rooms codes page explains which game it really belongs to.

Are there working scripts?

Not one is written for this game. Our Escape the Rooms script page explains why the search looks busy anyway.

How do I get the free gravity coil?

Open the game page on Roblox, follow the link to the group, and press join. The coil is yours next time you enter.

What can I buy?

Two things. A Speed Coil at 49 Robux and a Laser Gun at 349 Robux. No room is locked behind either.

Can I get a private server?

No. They are switched off, so every game is a public one with up to 18 players.

About Escape the Rooms

Escape the Rooms comes from PEAK Games, a verified group with close to 300,000 members and 14 games to its name.

It opened in July 2025 and has been visited more than 30 million times since. The whole thing runs in one place, with no side maps or lobbies.

The group also runs a two player version of this game and a bigger game called Eye Test. The studio puts its room count in its titles, so you can tell at a glance what has been added.

About 87 in every 100 votes are likes, across nearly 38,000 of them. For a game that stops two players in every three before room 25, that is a warm reception.
