Doodle World is basically Roblox’s answer to Pokémon, and it does a pretty solid job of scratching that itch. You explore a hand-drawn world, catch creatures called Doodles, battle other trainers, and build up your team. If you grew up loving monster-catching games, this one will feel instantly familiar.
What You Actually Do in Doodle World
You start with a starter Doodle and then head out into the world to catch more. Wild Doodles show up in different areas, and rarer ones are harder to find and catch. The whole loop is explore, battle, catch, grind, repeat. It’s simple but it works.
Battles are turn-based, which means you pick moves and wait for the outcome. Each Doodle has different types, stats, and move sets, so there’s actually some strategy involved once you get deeper into the game. It’s not just spamming the strongest attack every time.
There are also trainer battles scattered around the map, dungeons to clear, and legendary Doodles to hunt down. Getting a full strong team takes real time. Don’t expect to have everything figured out in an afternoon.
The Good Stuff and the Frustrating Parts
The art style is genuinely charming. Everything looks like it was drawn in a sketchbook, and the Doodles themselves have a lot of personality. The developers have added new Doodles and content over time, so the game has grown a lot since it first launched.
The grinding is the biggest complaint most players have. Farming for rare Doodles or leveling up your team can feel really slow. Some areas feel a bit empty too, and loading times can drag depending on your device. It’s not a perfect game by any means.
The player count has had its ups and downs, but there’s still an active community keeping it alive. Trading with other players and showing off rare catches is a big part of what keeps people coming back. It’s the kind of game that rewards patience if you’re willing to put in the time.
If the grind for rare Doodles is wearing you out, check out our Doodle World Scripts where we’ve put together options for auto-farming, auto-catching, and speeding up the leveling process so you can focus on the fun parts.
