Unseen Liminality is all about finding new places. There are 11 you can find, and each one gives you a badge. The hard part is knowing which door leads where.
This page shows how to get to every level, what lives there, and which ones most players never find. Checked on November 2, 2026.
Quick answer. Everything starts in the Lobby. Four ways lead out of it: the Poolrooms, Cap’n Clark’s store, the Empty Studio and the Liminal Home. The Liminal Hotel and Red City are the farthest, 3 steps from the Lobby.
How to get to every level
“Steps” means how many levels you pass through after the Lobby. Follow the order in the map above.
| Level |
How to get there |
Steps |
| The Lobby |
You start here. |
Start |
| The Poolrooms |
Find the dark passage in the Lobby that opens into white pool tiles. |
1 |
| Cap’n Clark’s Unseen Empire (sub-level) |
Walk into the big furniture store in the Lobby, by the front door or the basement door. |
1 |
| Dead Mall |
Go to the back of Cap’n Clark’s store and take the narrow hall that looks like a fake Lobby. |
2 |
| Empty Studio |
Find the indoor neighborhood in the Lobby and go through the white door at the far end of its hall. |
1 |
| Desolate Office |
In the Empty Studio, look near the fake houses. |
2 |
| Red City (sub-level) |
It hides inside the Desolate Office. Look for the stone tunnel. |
3 |
| Liminal Home |
Go through the holiday room near the start of the Lobby. |
1 |
| The Promised Future (sub-level) |
In the Poolrooms, climb the spiral staircase near the Lobby entrance. |
2 |
| Pipedreams |
Head into the dark blue part of the Poolrooms and take the door with the red EXIT sign. |
2 |
| Liminal Hotel |
In Pipedreams, find the iron gate. The hotel is behind it. |
3 |
You only have to walk there once. After you find a level, it unlocks under Teleports on the main menu. Next time you can jump straight in.
The two long routes
To the Liminal Hotel: Lobby, then the Poolrooms, then Pipedreams, then the hotel. Pipedreams starts at the red EXIT door in the dark blue pools.
To Red City: Lobby, then the Empty Studio, then the Desolate Office, then Red City. The Empty Studio door is in the indoor neighborhood with the half houses.
The Dead Mall is closer than it looks. It is behind Cap’n Clark’s store, so you have to go through his store to reach it.
What lives on each level

Any creature that attacks you kills you in one hit. Two of them can show up on every level, so stay careful even in quiet places.
| Creature |
Where |
What it does |
| Headhunter |
The Lobby |
A tall hunter with no head. Stay far away from it. |
| The Caroler |
The Lobby |
Waits in the holiday room. It can not move while you look at it, but a flashlight makes it charge. |
| Archibald (Lamp Man) |
The Lobby |
A friendly man with a lamp. Find him for the Lamp Man badge. |
| SpongeBob Balloon |
The Lobby and Desolate Office |
Harmless. Touch it for the Meet Bob badge. |
| Cap’n Clark |

A pirate who guards his store. He can follow you out into the Lobby. |

A huge puppet. It moves when you look away and can run you over. |
| Still Life |

Screams and chases you when it sees you. |

Copies of players. Some are harmless and some attack. |
The levels most players miss
Each level badge shows how many players found that place. Comparing badges added on the same day shows where players get stuck.
- The Poolrooms: about 1 in 4 players who reach the Lobby have found it.
- Liminal Home: it is only one room away from the Lobby. But that room is where the Caroler waits. Fewer players have found Liminal Home (403,050) than the Liminal Hotel (443,035), which is 3 steps away.
- Empty Studio: more than twice as many players have found it as the Liminal Hotel.
- Red City: for every 100 players who found the Desolate Office, 92 have found Red City. Once you reach the office, you are almost there.
Only 1,295 players have the Seen Liminality badge. You get it by finding every level and getting every other badge too.
Tips to stay alive
- Face the Caroler. It can not move while you look at it. Do not shine your flashlight on it, or it charges.
- Think before you roll the dice. A 1 kills you. You do get the Die badge for it.
- Keep your ticket in mind. In the Liminal Hotel, the Bellhop asks for it. Find it fast.
- Watch your friends. The Mimic looks like a friend. If a friend acts strange, keep away.
- Use Teleports. Once a level is unlocked, skip the long walk.
