In Break and Steal an Egg, every zone has a Speed number. You need that much Speed to grab an egg and run back to your Pen before the guard catches you. The farther the zone, the bigger the number and the better the pets.
This page lists the Speed for all 10 zones, every pet and what it earns, and every pickaxe and trail. It also shows the fastest free way to get Speed. Checked on October 23, 2026.
Quick answer. Forest needs 5 Speed, Desert 1,000, Snowy 50,000, Candy 750,000 and Swamp 12M. Ocean needs 150M, Hell 1B, Blossom 5B, Galaxy 25B and the new Planet X 100B. Find every pet in a zone and, in most zones, the Index gives you about 30% of the Speed for the next one.
Every zone and the Speed you need
The zones go in a line from your Safe Zone. Each one has its own eggs and its own guard, and the guard gets faster as you go out.

The Hell zone is also called the Volcano. Planet X came out on October 11, 2026, and is the newest zone.
How big each jump is
The first jump is the hardest one to picture. Desert needs 200 times the Speed of Forest. After that the jumps get smaller, and Planet X needs 4 times what Galaxy needs.

The fastest free Speed: fill your Index
The first time you get a new pet, you can claim a reward in the Index. It gives you Speed and cash right away, with no treadmill time.
Add up the Speed from every pet in a zone and a pattern shows. From Desert all the way to Blossom, a full zone gives you about 30% of the Speed the next zone needs. That is 7 zones in a row.

Forest is even better, at 53% of the Desert number. Galaxy is the odd one out. All 10 Galaxy pets give 15.1B Speed, which is only 15% of what Planet X needs. Expect a lot more treadmill time there.
The cash reward has a rule too. It is about 100 seconds of what that pet earns. A Bear earns $1.8K a second, so finding your first Bear pays $180K.

Planet X has 3 more pets that are still being added: two Void pets and one Omega pet. Their Index rewards are 9B Speed and $108B, 13B Speed and $129.6B, and 20B Speed and $155.5B for the Omega pet.
The zone matters more than the rarity
A rare pet from an early zone loses to a plain pet from a far zone. The Polar Bear is a Divine pet from Snowy and earns $125K a second. The Crocodile is only Mythic, but it comes from Galaxy and earns $500K. That is 4 times more.
One Amphiptere from Ocean earns $125M a second. All 8 Swamp pets together, Prehistoric Moth included, earn $13.8M. So one Amphiptere beats the whole Swamp 9 times over.
Every pickaxe, cost and Power
Your pickaxe breaks the egg. Its Power is how much damage each swing does. An egg breaks when your swings add up to its health, so more Power means fewer swings and less time with a guard nearby.

Most pickaxes have about 4 times the Power of the one before. That means each new pickaxe breaks the same egg in about a quarter of the swings. Power does not help you run, so it will not get you into a new zone.
Every trail and its Speed boost
Trails make you gain Speed faster on the treadmill. The boost only works while the trail is equipped, so buying one is not enough. Open your trails and put it on.

The Moonlight Trail trains 5,000 times faster than the White Trail. The trail only boosts treadmill Speed. It does not change the Speed you get from the Index.
Free Speed and the free Sabertooth Egg
- Free 10,000 Speed: like and favorite the game on Roblox. Then walk to the Free Rewards spot next to the Trails Shop and press Claim.
- Free Sabertooth Egg: join the ILGames x Eggs group on Roblox. In the game, open the Shop, scroll to the bottom, type your Roblox username and press Verify. The egg gives a Legendary Sabertooth pet.
Tips for getting through the zones
- Fill the Index in every zone before you move on. It is free Speed and free cash.
- Get a bit more Speed than the zone asks for. A heavy egg slows you down on the way back.
- Always equip your best trail before you train.
- Buy a new pickaxe when eggs take too long to break. Buy a trail when guards keep catching you.
- Ask a parent before you spend Robux.
