FIRESTORM 2 is a Roblox game about fighting a wildfire as a crew. Up to 30 players share one fire, working it with hand tools, engines, bulldozers and aircraft while it spreads faster than you can cut it. You earn skill points by playing and spend them in skill trees. Your rank climbs a ladder that copies the real chain of command on a wildland fire.

The Rank Ladder
The ranks are the real names used on a wildland fire in the United States. You start as a firefighter and work up through crew leadership to the person who runs the whole incident.
One badge is a bit confusing. The badge you get for joining is called FireFighter 2. FireFighter 1 is the first rank you actually earn, and fewer people have it.

More than 1.6 million players have joined. Of those, 40,773 reached FireFighter 1, so only about 1 in 40 gets past the very first rank.
The ladder roughly halves at every step after that. Just 1,023 players have made Incident Commander, which is about 1 in 1,580 of everyone who has ever joined.
It Was Paid, Then It Went Free
FIRESTORM 2 came out free in August 2024. On 24 December 2024 the studio put it behind a paywall, so you had to buy access to play.
That lasted about three months. On 30 March 2025 it went free again, and it has stayed free since.
There is a badge for the paid window. It sits at 49,205 players, which is roughly how many bought in while the paywall was up.
If you paid back then, nothing is different for you now. If you are new, you just join.
The Gamepasses
There are six gamepasses. Every one of them is a role or a vehicle, not a stat boost. The two dearest ones each come with a separate skill tree to work through.

If you owned a matching gamepass in the original FIRESTORM, it carries over to this game for free.
Aircraft are free to fly in a Private Server. In a public server you need to pass in-game training first.
How to Play FIRESTORM 2
- Join a server and spawn at the station. Grab a hand tool, like a Pulaski or a rake, from the rack.
- Head to the fire with the crew. Do not run in alone, the fire spreads and you will be cut off.
- Cut a firebreak. Clear a strip of ground down to the dirt so the fire has nothing to burn across.
- Use the engines for water where you can reach a road, and let the dozer crews handle the big lines.
- Earn skill points as you work, then open a skill tree and spend them on tools and speed.
- Keep working fires to climb the ranks. Each one asks more of you than the last.
FIRESTORM 2 Gameplay
The fire is the enemy, and it does not stop. It has stages, and it keeps spreading into new fuel while you are still cutting line on the last patch.
Winning means teamwork. One person with a rake does almost nothing. A crew cutting the same line together, backed by an engine and a dozer, can actually hold it.
The tools are the real ones. Hand crews with Pulaskis and McLeods, Type 3 and Type 6 brush engines, bulldozers, water tenders, hot shot buggies and aircraft for water drops.
There are two maps. The main one is a remastered version of the original wildland map. The second is an urban map based on Carpinteria, for structural firefighting with the SB County Fire pass.
The studio is still building. Updates come out often, the last one this week, and the urban map is being expanded.
Tips for New FIRESTORM 2 Players
- Stay with the crew. The fastest way to lose a run is to get surrounded working alone.
- Cut line ahead of the fire, not next to it. You want a clear strip waiting before the flames arrive.
- Learn the wind. The fire runs with it, so a break on the downwind side is where it matters most.
- Spend early skill points on tool speed. Cutting line faster helps in every single run.
- Do not buy a role pass until you have played the base game. The firefighter role teaches the map.
- Use a Private Server to practice flying. Aircraft are free there and you will not fail public training on your first try.

How do I rank up?
You earn skill points by working fires and spend them in skill trees. Doing that over many runs is what moves you up the seven-rank ladder.
What is the difference from the original FIRESTORM?
This one is a full rebuild with two maps, a new fire system, new vehicles and structural firefighting. The original is now a legacy game that is no longer updated.
Do my old gamepasses carry over?
Yes. Any matching gamepass you owned in the original FIRESTORM transfers to this game for free, with nothing to claim.
Does FIRESTORM 2 have codes?
No. There is no code menu in this game. The original FIRESTORM had one, but this rebuild does not carry it. Our codes page has the detail.
