Animation Simulator

Last Updated: August 2026  |  A game whose title is its own changelog, and one badge worth reading.

Animation Simulator is a room full of short clips. You pick one from a list and your character acts it out, and nearly all of them are jokes and memes people will recognise. Despite the name there is nothing to collect and nothing to upgrade.

It opened in December 2021 and has passed 50 million visits. This page has how the game keeps announcing new clips through its own title, what its two badges reveal about paying for free work, and why the only thing it sells costs 15 Robux.

How to Play Animation Simulator

Calling this playing is a stretch. You are choosing something to watch your character do, and most people are recording it.

  1. Join and open the list. Every clip is there from the start, with nothing locked.
  2. Pick one and watch your character act it out. That is the whole control scheme.
  3. Bring a friend if the clip has two people in it. Several of them are built for a pair.
  4. Find a spot with a clean background if you plan to record. That is what most people are here for.
  5. Record with whatever you normally use. The game does not capture video for you.
  6. Credit the game if the clip ends up in your video. The game page asks for exactly that.
  7. Check the title when you come back. If it has changed, a new clip has landed.

There is no currency, no score and no leaderboard. Nothing is keeping track of you at all.

Animation Simulator Gameplay: Two Badges, One Real Number

There are only two badges here, and together they answer a question almost no game lets you ask. How many people pay for something they got free?

Badge Players who have it Share of everyone who came in
Played Animation Simulator 17,892,867 Everyone. This is the number the other one is measured against.
Donated on Animation Simulator 8,457 About one player in 2,116, or under a twentieth of one per cent.

Nearly eighteen million players have walked in. Fewer than nine thousand have donated to the person who makes the clips.

That is about one player in every 2,116, or under a twentieth of one per cent.

One thing to be fair about. The donor badge was only switched on in June 2024, eighteen months after the game opened, so it counts donations since then rather than from the beginning.

Even so, it is a rare honest look at the gap between using somebody’s work and paying for it.

The Title Is the Changelog

This game does something we have not seen anywhere else. Every time a new clip is added, it renames its own page on Roblox to advertise it.

Saved copies of the page going back to launch show at least eleven different titles, each naming whichever clip was newest.

What the page called itself When What it marks
A single meme name December 2021 The launch. It was one clip, not a collection.
An Omniman dance December 2023 to February 2024 By now it is a library and the title advertises the newest addition.
A Gojo meeting July to October 2024 Another new clip, another rename.
Put The Phone Down November 2024 to January 2025 The pattern is well established by this point.
Eye Of Rah January 2025 Caught 66 times in four days, so it was current while people were looking.
Dance If You Are Peak June 2025 Still going, eighteen months on.
A Jet2 holiday meme July to September 2025 Following whatever was popular that month.
A dunk meme February to March 2026 The most recent one the archive has caught.

Read down that list and you have a release history the game page itself never publishes. Each rename is a dated marker for when a clip arrived.

The earliest ones are the most telling. Two days after opening, the page was named after a single meme, not after a collection.

The developer confirms as much in the description, saying they decided to turn it into a collection later. They also mention it once went by a different name entirely.

A Fifteen Robux Green Screen

One item is on sale and it costs 15 Robux. That is the cheapest shop of any game we have covered, by a wide margin.

It gives you a plain colored background to stand in front of. The listing describes it as coloring the background easily.

That is a green screen, and it settles what this game is for. You film your character against a flat color and drop them into your own video afterwards.

The game page agrees. Its closing line asks you to credit the game if one of the clips turns up in something you make.

So this is a free animation library with a filming backdrop for sale. Everything else about it makes sense once you read it that way.

The Studio Behind It

The group running this has 925,077 members, which is one of the largest we have come across, and it is not even verified.

It has five games out. A fighting game leads on 228 million visits, a music roleplay sits at 66 million, and this one is third with 50 million.

So this clip library is about one visit in seven of everything the studio has ever made. It is a strong game that is not their strongest.

Tips for New Animation Simulator Players

  1. Go in with a plan to record. Watching a clip once is fine, but the game exists so you can film it.
  2. Bring a friend for the two person clips. Several are built for a pair and look wrong performed alone.
  3. Skip the shop unless you are filming seriously. The 15 Robux background only matters if you are cutting your character out.
  4. Credit the game in your video. The developer asks for it directly, and it costs you nothing.
  5. Watch the title for news. It changes whenever a new clip lands, so it doubles as an update list.
  6. Do not expect a game underneath. There is no score, no currency and no goal, and that is by design.

Animation Simulator FAQ

What do I actually do here?

Pick a clip from a list and your character performs it. Most people record the result for a video of their own.

Do I have to unlock anything?

No. Every clip is open from the moment you join, and there is no currency or level system at all.

Can I use the clips in my videos?

Yes. The game page asks only that you credit the game or its maker if you do.

What does the 15 Robux item do?

It gives you a plain colored background to film against, so you can swap the background out later.

Are there any codes?

No, and there never have been. Our Animation Simulator codes page explains why none are needed.

Is there a working script?

No, and there is nothing for one to do. Our Animation Simulator script page has the detail.

Why does the name keep changing?

Every new clip gets announced in the title. Saved copies of the page show at least eleven different names since 2021.

How many people donate?

About one in every 2,116 who visit. Nearly eighteen million have played and fewer than nine thousand hold the donor badge.

About the Clips

The game page lists the clips by name, and the mix tells you who this is made for. There are anime references, streamer references and a run of Filipino memes.

The developer credits another creator for a couple of them, which is a decent thing to do in a corner of Roblox where that rarely happens.

The list keeps growing, and the title keeps changing to match. That is the whole rhythm of this game.
