Last Updated: August 2026 | How the colour teams work, five free codes, and the four events this game has run.
Eat Same Color Food Challenge is a team game built on one idea. Everyone picks a colour, and then each team goes hunting for food that matches theirs. You cook it, you eat it, and the team with the most Eats when the round ends wins.
It opened in August 2023 and has passed 107 million visits. This page has how a round works, the five codes that are still live, the seasonal events the game has run and when, and one number here that is far out of line with the rest of it.

How to Play Eat Same Color Food Challenge
The game explains itself in three lines on its own page, and there is not much more to it than that. The detail is in the order you do things.
- Claim the codes first. Four of them are printed on the game’s own page and they are worth 3,500 Eats between them.
- Pick your colour team. Everyone in the room chooses one, and the whole round runs on that choice.
- Go and find food that matches your colour. The map is stocked with it and each team is after a different set.
- Make the food before you eat it. It has to be prepared to count, so sprinting off with raw ingredients wastes the trip.
- Eat it. Every one adds to your team’s total rather than your own.
- Keep going until the round ends. The team with the most Eats takes it.
- Try a different colour next round. Nothing is locked and no team costs anything.
Step four is the one that costs people rounds. The food has to be made before it counts for anything, so grabbing an armful of ingredients and running is wasted effort.

A code list, not the game itself |
Four of those five are printed on the game’s own page, in one line near the top, in quotes. That means you can read them yourself rather than trusting a list.
Between them they hand out 3,500 Eats and 10 Wins, and Eats are the score the whole game runs on. Not one of them has expired.
They are case-sensitive and four are entirely lower case, with the fifth starting on a capital. Our Eat Same Color codes page has all five with copy buttons and where to type them.
The Events It Has Run, and When They Stopped
This game announces its events by putting them in its own name for a few days, which leaves a clear trail behind it.
| Event |
When the game page carried it |
What it tells you |
| Halloween |
October 2023 |
The first one it ever announced in its own name |
| Christmas |
January 2024 |
Ran into the new year rather than before it |

Overlapped the Christmas one by a few days |
| A catalog event |
February 2024 |
The shortest of the lot |
| Easter |
Late March to early April 2024 |
The last one announced this way |
Four named events inside about six months, from October 2023 to April 2024. That is a busy stretch for a game that had only just opened.
Then it stops. Nothing else has been announced that way in the two years since, even though the game itself was updated in May 2026.
The page does say a summer event is coming, so something is planned. It is worth watching that line, because it is also where the codes live.
Seven Million Favorites and Twenty Four Thousand Votes
Here is the number that stands out. This game has 7,479,332 favorites and only 24,504 votes, which works out at about 305 favorites for every vote.
Most games sit near two. Only one game we have looked at runs higher than this, and it is another one built on chance rather than skill.
One thing on the page is worth putting next to it. The description ends by asking players for a thumbs up and a favorite, so it asks for both.
We are not going to claim the two are connected. Both are worth knowing when you compare this game’s favorite count against anything else.

Eleven games, close to 1.5 million members in the group, and this one sits fourth on their list. The group is not one of the verified ones.
The last row is the interesting one. Hide and Seek One Color came out six months before this game and runs on the same colour idea, so this was the second try at it.
Scripts are worth a mention too. Nothing has ever been written for this game, and our Eat Same Color script page explains why a menu would not help in a team game with no shop.
Tips for New Eat Same Color Food Challenge Players
- Claim all five codes before your first round. That is 3,500 Eats banked before you have done anything.
- Pick the colour with the fewest people on it. Your own finds count for a bigger share of a smaller team’s total.
- Learn where your colour’s food spawns. The map puts the same things in the same places every round.
- Cook before you carry. Raw ingredients do not count, so a trip back is a wasted one.
- Play with friends on one colour. Twenty one people in a room means four who talk beat eight who do not.
- Do not go looking for a shop. There is nothing on sale in this game, so nobody has bought an advantage over you.
Eat Same Color Food Challenge FAQ
How does a round work?
Everyone picks a colour team. Each team hunts food matching its colour, cooks it and eats it, and the team with the most Eats at the end wins.
Are there any codes?
Yes, five, and all of them still work. Four are printed on the game’s own page. Our Eat Same Color codes page has them all.
What are Eats?
The score. Every piece of food your team gets through adds one, and the codes hand them out in blocks of 500 and 1,000.
Does anything cost Robux?
No. There are no gamepasses and no shop, which is rare for a game this size.
Are there badges to collect?
None. The game has never made one.
How many people play at once?
Servers hold 21, and there are usually a couple of hundred people spread across the game.
Who made it?
A Roblox group called SAND4 with close to 1.5 million members and eleven games, the biggest of which has passed 174 million visits.
About the Studio

Its games spread across hide and seek, tower defence, roleplay and party games, and several of them have passed a hundred million visits on their own.
If you like team party games, we cover a few others: Cake Off, Crazy Cards and Mad Chefs.
