You beat the Frog King, you saved all four kids, and you want to know which badges are left. Here is every badge in 99 Nights in the Forest, what you do to get it, how many Diamonds it pays, and something you will not find on the badge screen: how many players have actually earned it.
There are 60 badges you can earn today. 51 are there all the time and 9 belong to events running right now. Older lists will show you another 32 from 12 events that have finished, so this page marks those separately instead of sending you hunting for something that is not in the game.
The owner counts come from Roblox itself, which keeps a public tally for every badge. They turn up one thing the star ratings do not tell you. A badge the game marks as 4 stars can be sitting on far more player profiles than one it marks as 2 stars, and that happens more often than not.
The Quick Answer
60 badges are live right now, worth 317 Diamonds in total. The one almost everybody has is Firemaking I (678,503,471 players). The rarest is Dream Team, held by just 18,182. For every 37,317 players with Firemaking I, one has Dream Team.
Easiest first Diamonds: the campfire badges and the day badges. Upgrading your fire to level 3 pays 2 Diamonds and takes a few minutes.
How Badges Work
A badge unlocks the first time you do the thing it asks for. You keep it for good, and the first time you claim one you get Diamonds, which buy classes in the lobby. Badges do not stack, so doing the same thing twice pays nothing extra.
The game puts a star rating on each badge, from half a star up to 5 stars. That rating is meant to say how hard the badge is. Two things are worth knowing about it. The badge screen draws it half a star short, so a 5 star badge shows as 4 and a half. And the rating often does not match how many players own the badge, which is the whole point of the numbers on this page.
Update parties do not count. Nothing you do during an update party gives you a badge. Reach day 10 in one and the badge stays locked, so save the badge hunting for a normal run.
All 51 Badges You Can Earn Any Time
These 51 never go away. The list starts with the ones most players own, so the top of the table is roughly the order you will pick them up. The last column is how many players have earned each one.

The 9 Event Badges You Can Still Get
These belong to events that are live now. They pay better than the everyday badges, 90 Diamonds across the 9 of them, and they are the ones to grab first because they will not be here forever.

The Star Rating Does Not Match How Rare a Badge Is
Line the star ratings up against the real owner counts and they come apart. This compares only the 51 badges that are always in the game, so nobody can say a badge is rare just because it arrived last month.
34 of the 36 pairs of star ratings overlap. That means picking a badge from the 4 star pile and a badge from the 2 star pile tells you almost nothing about which one fewer players have. 7 of the 10 badges rated 4 stars or higher sit on more profiles than at least one badge rated 1.5 stars or lower.

Swiftness asks you to clear 99 days in 90 minutes and carries 4 stars. Carnivory asks you to eat nothing but meat for 99 days and carries 2. Swiftness sits on 144 times more profiles. One badge does earn its 5 stars, and that is Dream Team. It is both top rated and the rarest badge in the game.
Rare Does Not Always Mean Hard
Some badges are rare because almost nobody can do them. Others are rare because almost nobody wants to sit through them. Errands III is the second rarest badge that is always in the game, and all it asks is 100 daily quests. One quest a day means over three months of logging in. That is slow, not hard.
The daily quest ladder shows it clearly. Each step is the same job, just more of it, and the badge count drops off a cliff each time.

Worth knowing before you start. The three Errands badges pay 18 Diamonds between them for 100 quests. Reaching day 99 once pays you more than that across the day badges alone, and it takes an afternoon.
The 10 Rarest Badges You Can Still Earn
Rarity here is measured against Firemaking I, the badge more players own than any other. A badge listed as 1 in 500 means that for every 500 players who earned Firemaking I, one earned this.

Dream Team is the only badge in the game under 20,000 players. Five people, 99 days, 90 minutes, nobody dies once. Every other rarity record in the list is more than 3 times easier to reach.
How Far Players Really Get
The ten day badges double as a map of where runs fall apart. Every player who reaches day 20 must have passed day 10, so the counts only ever go down, and the size of each drop shows where people stop.

The biggest single drop is the first one. Almost a third of players who see day 10 never see day 20. After that it flattens out, and 1 in 4.6 players who got the day 10 badge went on to finish a full 99 day run.
32 Badges You Will See Listed That Are Not in the Game
Search for a badge list and you will find these. They came from 12 events that have ended, and none of them is in the game’s badge list today. Some of these events run every year, so a few may come back. Until then, nothing you do in a normal run will unlock one.

99 Nights in the Forest Badges FAQ
How many badges are in 99 Nights in the Forest?
60 you can earn today: 51 that are always there and 9 from the events running now. Another 32 from finished events are still listed in older guides.
What is the rarest badge?
Dream Team, with 18,182 players. You need five people to reach day 99 in under 90 minutes with no deaths at all.
What is the easiest badge to start with?
Firemaking I. Upgrading your campfire to level 3 takes a few minutes and pays 2 Diamonds, and more players hold it than any other badge in the game.
How many Diamonds do all the badges pay?
227 Diamonds from the 51 permanent badges, plus 90 more from the 9 event badges that are live.
Why can I not find the fishing or snow badges?
They belong to events that have finished. They are not in the badge list at the moment, so no amount of fishing will unlock them.
Why does my badge show fewer stars than a guide says?
The badge screen draws every rating half a star short. A 5 star badge like Determined II shows up as 4 and a half.
Do badges work during an update party?
No. Nothing done in an update party counts, even reaching day 10 or clearing the stronghold. Play a normal round for badges.
Why does the Survive 100 Days badge unlock at day 99?
That is just how it is set. Reach the day 99 mark and it pops, name and all.
