How to Enchant in Fish It
“How do I make my rod better?”
Fish It is a fishing game where you catch fish, sell them for coins, and buy better rods. Once you have a good rod, the next step is to enchant it. An enchant is a bonus that makes your rod stronger, like more luck or a faster reel.
To enchant, you roll an enchant stone on a special altar. Each roll gives you one random enchant. This guide shows you how to do it, where every stone comes from, and which enchants are worth keeping.

Enchanting in three steps: get a stone, go to the altar, and roll.
The Quick Answer
To enchant your rod, hold an Enchant Stone and take it to the altar in Esoteric Depths. Equip the rod you want to buff, then press E at the altar to roll a random enchant.
Every roll uses one stone and replaces your old enchant. So keep rolling until you get one you like, such as Leprechaun II for more luck.
How to Enchant Your Rod, Step by Step
Enchanting is quick once you know the steps. Here is the whole thing from start to finish.
- Get an Enchant Stone. You can fish one up or buy one from the shop.
- Go to Esoteric Depths. It is the dark cave island on the map.
- Pay the gatekeeper. Give the Esoteric Gatekeeper 400 coins to ride the elevator down.
- Find the altar. It sits across from the elevator at the bottom.
- Equip your rod. Hold the rod you want to enchant, since the altar only buffs that one.
- Press E to roll. Your stone turns into a random enchant on that rod.
Rolling again gives you a new enchant, but it wipes the old one. So each new try costs one more stone.
The Enchant Stones
Better stones give better enchants, and one adds a second slot.
There are a few kinds of enchant stones. Better stones roll better enchants, and one even adds a second slot. Here is what each one does and how to get it.

One random buff from the basic list |
| Super Enchant Stone |
Buy for 49 Robux, or finish the Enchanting Discoveries quest (use 30 stones) |
Only rolls strong enchants, so no weak ones |

The Best Enchants to Roll For

How to Get a Second Enchant Slot
Most stones replace your old enchant. The Transcended Stone is different. It adds a second slot, so you can run two enchants at once.
You get one by giving a SECRET fish to the Temple Guardian in the Ancient Jungle. You then use it on top of the temple, not at the normal altar.
The best roll is Perfection, which gives perfect throws while auto fishing. That makes it the top pick for players who like to AFK farm. Pair it with a luck enchant in your first slot.
Special Hunter Enchants
The Evolved Enchant Stone rolls special hunter enchants you cannot get any other way. They help you catch the rarest fish in the game.

Beginner Tips
- Equip the rod you want first. The altar only enchants the rod in your hand.
- Save up a few stones before you roll. Then you can keep going until you like the result.
- Aim for luck enchants early. More luck means rarer fish, which sell for more coins.
- Buy a Super Enchant Stone if you want a sure thing. Every roll it gives is strong.
- Grab free rewards from our codes page to help pay for stones.
Updated July 2026. Fish It adds new stones and enchants often. The newest is the Runic Enchant Stone from the Easter update, which players are still testing. The altar steps and the main enchants here still work the same, and we keep this guide current.
