Untitled Tag Game Gamemodes
“What are all the gamemodes in Untitled Tag Game, and how do you actually win each one?”
Last Updated: July 2026
Untitled Tag Game is a parkour tag game where every round mixes climbing, sliding, rolling, vaulting, and swinging into a straight-up chase.
The twist is that it is not just one mode of tag. Three gamemode cards are offered before every match, so the rules and your goal change from round to round.
Some modes are simple chase and swap, others turn into full teams-versus-teams fights, and a few rare ones only show up once in a while.

Here is every base gamemode, how each one is actually won, and the movement controls you need to survive the chase.
The Quick Answer
Three gamemode cards get offered before each round, and Classic (tag to swap roles) is the one you will see most. Team modes like Team Swap and Team Deathmatch need everyone on one side to win, while chaos modes like Bomb, Crown, Infected, Freeze, Juggernaut, and Slasher each hand a special role to a few players. Whatever the mode, mastering the Shift sprint and the C slide-and-roll is what actually keeps you alive in the chase.
Every Base Gamemode
These are the core gamemodes you will run into the most. Each one hands out different roles and asks for a different win condition, so knowing the rules before the round starts is a real advantage.
| Gamemode |
How it works |
Win condition |
| Classic |
Taggers must tag another runner to become a runner themselves, passing the tagger role along. |
End the match as a runner. |
| Competitive |
Works like Classic, but every tag costs you health. Drop to zero and you have 15 seconds to tag someone back or you are out. |
End the match as a runner, without dying. |
| Free For All |
Nobody is safe. Every player can hit any other player for 50 damage. |
Survive the match without dying. |
| Bomb |
A few players start holding a bomb and must pass it to someone else before the timer hits zero, or it goes off. |
Be the last player standing. |
| Crown |
A few players start with the crown. Everyone else is a peasant trying to steal it. |
End the match holding the crown. |
| Infected |
One player starts as Patient Zero and has to infect the whole lobby. Getting tagged makes you infected too. |
Survive as a runner, or be the one who infects the last player. |
| Freeze |
Freezers hunt down runners and deal damage over time. Once a runner runs out of health, they become a chiller and can freeze others too. |
Survive as a runner, or be a freezer or chiller at the end. |
| Team Swap |
Two teams, red and blue. Tagging someone on the other team pulls them onto yours. |
End the round with the whole lobby on one team. |
| Team Deathmatch |
Same two teams, but tagging an opponent twice takes them out for good. |
Be alive on the winning team when the round ends. |
| Juggernaut |
A few players become juggernauts, and everyone else has to hunt them down. Killing a juggernaut makes you one. |
Survive as a juggernaut, or be a hunter when the last one falls. |
| Slasher |
A few players become slashers dealing heavy damage, and everyone else just has to live through the round. |
Survive as a survivor, or wipe out every survivor as a slasher. |
The chase comes down to movement. Slide with C to close distance fast, and switch to first person with Z when you need precise control.
Rare and Remix Modes
Not every round pulls from the base list. A few special modes and remixed versions of the classics show up too, and they can catch you off guard if you have never seen them before.
| Mode |
What makes it different |
| Chaos |
Several gamemodes get mashed into one round at once, spawning slashers, juggernauts, a Patient Zero, a bomb, and a crown all at the same time. |
| Pingus |
A rare variant of Infected with lighter 75-damage hits instead of 100. Mostly only shows up in private servers. |
| Misprints |
Remixed versions of the base modes, like Speed Classic (faster taggers) or Disguised Classic (taggers blend in with runners). New ones get added as the game updates. |
Tips for Winning More Rounds
- Learn the C slide-and-roll early. Sliding on the ground and rolling off a landing both keep your speed up through a chase.
- Switch to first person with Z when you need to line up a precise tag or squeeze through a tight gap.
- In team modes like Team Swap and Team Deathmatch, stick with your team instead of running solo. Getting caught alone is how rounds get lost fast.
- In role modes like Bomb, Crown, or Juggernaut, know your role the moment the round starts so you are not wasting seconds figuring out what to do.
