Untamed Animals is a calm animal roleplay game. You find injured creatures, nurse them back to health, adopt the ones you saved and work through quests across several different worlds. It is about being kind to things rather than beating anybody.
It opened in September 2020 and has taken nearly 38 million visits since, but today it runs a single server with a couple of people in it. This page has the name it used to have, the two badges nobody holds, and what the studio says it does with the money.

How to Play Untamed Animals
Nothing here is a race and nothing is locked behind a payment. You heal things and then you keep them.
- Join and pick somewhere to start. Several worlds are open and none of them are locked.
- Find injured animals and heal them. Nursing one back to health is how you get to adopt it.
- Adopt the animals you have healed. They are the closest thing this game has to a collection.
- Take on quests as you go. Quests and their rewards are the only thing the game counts.
- Roleplay as an animal if you would rather. The game page offers that as a way to play.
- Bring somebody. Servers hold thirty and these days you will usually be alone in one.
No leaderboard is named on the game page and there is no ranking to climb. Quests hand out the only rewards there are.

Three badges is a very short list for a six year old game, and two of them tell a small story.

The tester badges are the interesting pair. Both are switched on, both have been for five and a half years, and neither has ever been given to anybody.
That is because they were created in January 2021 and the game had already opened to everybody in September 2020. The testing they reward was over before they existed.
The third badge is different and far more useful. It goes to anyone who bought the champion pass, so 10,637 players have paid for it over the years.

Look at the four in the middle. They were called Support, in tiers from basic up to top level, and their whole job was letting you give more than the game asked for.
All four came off around five years ago. We are not going to guess why, and nobody has explained it publicly.
What is left is a champion pass and a food radar, neither of which has been touched in four years or more.
What the Studio Says It Does With the Money
This game makes a promise most do not, and it is worth reading in their words rather than ours.
On the game page they say some of what people spend goes to real life projects that protect nature and wild animals.
The studio’s group page puts a number on it, saying half of its yearly profits go to nature projects around the world.
Those two are not quite the same claim, and we have no way to check either. Worth knowing both were made and worth reading them carefully.
It Used to Be Called Untamed Planet
Old copies of the game page carry a different name. Through 2020 and 2021 it was Untamed Planet.
By the middle of 2022 it had become Untamed Animals, and it has kept that name ever since. The studio never changed though, and its group is still called Untamed Planet.
Those old page titles also carry the update log. A new savannah area in early January 2021, then recycling, then lions two weeks later, then an Easter event in March.
One of them is unusual. For a few days in January the title said it had fixed the savannah area rather than added anything. Studios do not usually put a repair in the name.
Big, Old and Almost Empty
Nearly 38 million visits is a large number and it covers six years. It says nothing about today.
Its busiest moment was 28 August 2021, when 1,156 people were playing at once. That was inside its first year.
Right now there is one server with about two people in it. Servers hold thirty, so there is a lot of room.
The last update landed in January 2024. It still opens and it still works, and 205,628 players have it saved.
Tips for New Untamed Animals Players
- Bring a friend. With two people online, arriving with somebody is the only reliable way to have company.
- Heal before you adopt. Nursing an animal back to health is what lets you keep it.
- Follow the quests. They are the only thing the game counts, so they are the only real thread through it.
- Do not chase the tester badges. Both sit on zero holders and were created too late for anyone to earn them.
- Expect it to stay as it is. Nothing has changed since January 2024 and the shop has not moved in four years.
- Do not go looking for codes. There are none, and there is nowhere in the game to type one.

Is it still playable?
Yes. It runs one server with a couple of people in it, and it has not been updated since January 2024.
What was it called before?

Untamed Animals comes from a small studio with three games, and this one is far and away its biggest.
Its page points at a Twitter account and a community server for news rather than at codes or giveaways.
Everything happens in one place. There are no other rooms, no lobby and nothing hidden away.
