Last Updated: August 2026 | Controls, shop and prices checked against the live game.
Team Soccer is a football game where eight players share one pitch and one ball. You sprint, you slide in for tackles, you head crosses out of the air, and you try to score more than the other team. There are no power ups on the pitch and no special moves, just the ball and whoever gets to it first.
It opened in January 2023 and has passed 276 million visits since, with nearly three million people favouriting it. This page has the six controls, the shop as it stands today, and the four different names this game has gone by.

How to Play Team Soccer
There is no tutorial, so here is the short version before your first match.
- Join a server and wait for the kickoff. You get put on a team automatically, so check your shirt colour before you start chasing anybody.
- Press V straight away. That locks the camera behind you, and everything below is easier with it on.
- Hold Shift to move. Sprinting is how you get anywhere on the pitch, and you will be doing it most of the match.
- Hold left click to kick. A short hold passes it, a long hold shoots it, so let go earlier than feels right at first.
- Press E to slide in when somebody else has the ball, but only when you are sure. Miss it and you are on the floor while they run past.
- Press spacebar when the ball is in the air. Heading is the part almost nobody bothers to learn.
- Stay roughly where you started. With eight players on the pitch, one person wandering leaves a hole the other team will walk through.
All Team Soccer Controls
The game lists every control on its own page, which is more than most do. There are only six and most players use two of them.
| Control |
Key |
What it does |
| Sprint |
Shift |
Run faster, and the main way you get anywhere |
| Tackle |
E |
Slide in to take the ball off somebody |
| Dribble |
Q |
Keep the ball close while you move |
| Mouse lock |
V |
Locks your camera behind you, which most players never try |
| Kick |
Hold Left Click |
Hold longer for more power |
| Header |
Spacebar |
Head the ball out of the air |
The one worth trying first is mouse lock on V. It pins the camera behind your player instead of letting it swing about, and it makes lining up a shot far easier. Plenty of people play for hours without ever pressing it.
Team Soccer Gameplay: What a Match Is Like
Servers hold eight, so a match is small and everybody matters. There is nowhere to hide, and if you wander off your position the other team walks straight through the gap you left.
The ball is the whole game. It has proper weight to it, so a shot curves and a header loops rather than snapping to a target. That is why the kick is a hold rather than a tap, because how long you hold decides how hard it goes.
Tackling is where most matches are won and lost. A slide tackle takes the ball but leaves you on the floor for a moment, so a badly timed one hands the attacker a free run at your goal.
There are no badges in this game at all, which is worth saying plainly. Most games hand out a reward for your first goal or your first win, and this one hands out nothing. That means there is no public record of how many players ever score, so nobody outside the studio can tell you how good the average player is.

The Four Names This Game Has Had
If you have been searching for guides and finding nothing useful, this is why.
The game started out as Soccer Pro at the end of 2023. It became Soccer Pro 3 on 3, then Team Soccer 3 vs 3, and only settled on Team Soccer near the end of 2025.
So it really was a three against three game once, and servers now hold eight. Anything written about it more than a year ago describes a smaller match than the one you will join today.
Older pages keep whatever name the game had when they were written, so searching the current name misses most of them. If you go looking yourself, search Soccer Pro as well.
The Team Soccer Shop: 40 Passes, 6 Still For Sale
Forty passes have been built for this game since it opened. Only six of them can be bought today. The other thirty four have been switched off, and that includes some big ones: the old VIP pass, a pass that doubled your coins, one that unlocked every levelled item at once, and several that made you better at defending.
Here is everything you can actually buy right now, with the wording the game itself uses.
| Pass |
Price |
What the game says it does |
| Super Striker |
499 Robux |
Run faster, 29 up to 32 speed, plus curved shots and a ball skin |
| World Class Defender |
399 Robux |
Two spins instead of one, longer slide tackle, keeper throws to you first |
| Cobra Pack |
250 Robux |
A card skin and a ball skin |
| Midfield Master |
199 Robux |
Ten percent speed, stamina refills when you win the ball, always take kickoff |
| Troll Pack |
170 Robux |
A card skin and a ball skin |
| More Celebrations |
10 Robux |
Extra goal celebrations |
That is 1,527 Robux for the lot. Two are card and ball skins, one is extra celebrations for ten Robux, and three change how you play.
It is worth reading those three carefully. The game’s own page says its cosmetic bits add style without affecting play, and that is true of the ball designs. It is not the whole shop, though. Speed, tackle range and who your keeper throws to are all on sale, and the game puts the numbers on them itself.
There is one oddity in there. The 199 Robux pass advertises that its speed boost stacks with VIP, and VIP has not been on sale for a long time now. Anyone buying it today cannot complete that combination.
Five more passes were created in the first week of August 2026 and are sitting there not for sale, including one called Unstoppable Tackle. Whether they are being lined up for an update or were simply shelved, only the studio knows.
Codes
There are none, and there never have been in three and a half years, even though the game does have coins. Our Team Soccer Codes page covers what to do instead.
Who Makes Team Soccer
It is made by Cardinal Studios Games, a group with more than 738,000 members, run by a verified account. Their group page says they want to build high quality experiences for players of all ages and that they listen to community feedback.
They have five games out. This one is not just the biggest, it is most of what they have. Team Soccer alone accounts for around three quarters of every visit the studio has ever had, and the next biggest is a horror game from years back.
About 84 in every 100 votes on the game are likes. That is decent, and it is a little lower than most games this size manage, which is worth knowing before you decide whether it is for you.
Tips for New Team Soccer Players
- Press V and leave it on. Mouse lock keeps the camera behind you and makes shooting far easier than fighting a swinging camera.
- Do not slide at everything. A missed tackle leaves you on the floor while the person you missed runs at your goal.
- Hold the kick, do not tap it. How long you hold decides the power, so a tap is a pass and a hold is a shot.
- Learn the header. Spacebar is free, nothing in the shop makes it better, and most players never use it.
- Stay in your part of the pitch. With only eight players a wanderer leaves a hole that is obvious to everybody.
- You will meet players who bought speed. You cannot outrun them, so cut the angle instead of chasing.
Team Soccer FAQ
How many people are in a match?
Servers hold eight. It used to be a three against three game, which is where the old name Team Soccer 3 vs 3 came from.
What are the controls?
Shift sprints, E tackles, Q dribbles, V locks the camera, holding left click kicks and spacebar headers. The game lists all six itself.
Is it pay to win?
Partly. Most of the shop is skins, but three of the six passes on sale do change how you play, and one of them raises your speed from 29 to 32.
What happened to VIP?
It is no longer on sale, along with 33 other passes. Only six of the forty ever made can be bought today.
Are there codes?
No, and there never have been, even though the game has coins.
Are there badges?
None at all. That is unusual for a game this size and it means there is no public record of how many players ever score or win.
Why do old guides call it something else?
It has been renamed three times. Soccer Pro, then Soccer Pro 3 on 3, then Team Soccer 3 vs 3, and now Team Soccer.
Are there scripts for it?
Only two were ever written and just one still loads. Our script page has the working one and explains what happened to the other.
