StockRise is a free Roblox game where you trade stocks and crypto with pretend money. Prices track the real market, so a stock that drops in real life drops here too. You start with a small balance and try to build it into a big portfolio. A real learning company, PiP World, now owns the game.

How a Trading Session Works
You spawn on a trading floor with a starting cash balance. A screen shows a list of stocks and their prices, moving up and down in real time.
You pick a stock, choose how many shares to buy, and confirm. The cash comes out of your balance and the shares go into your portfolio.
From there you watch. If the price rises you can sell for a profit. If it falls you can hold and hope, or sell and take the loss.
Crypto works the same way but the prices swing harder. News headlines pop up during a session and push prices around, which is where the More News pass comes in.

Against nearly 9 million visits, about 925,000 players have the Purchased Stock badge. That is roughly 1 in 10 who actually buy a share. The rest look around and leave.
Of the players who do buy in, 137,701 push their portfolio to 25,000 dollars. The number keeps dropping after that.
Only 8,768 players have reached a 500,000 dollar portfolio. That is under 1 in 100 of the people who bought a stock. Growing fake money is still hard.
Who Owns StockRise
StockRise started in 2021 as a fan-made project. In August 2024 a company called PiP World bought it.
PiP World makes money-and-investing learning games and apps. It called StockRise the top-earning stock game on Roblox when it bought it.
The lead developer joined PiP World’s advisory board as part of the deal. The game kept running under the same name.
For players, not much changed. The game is still free, still uses fake money, and still tracks real prices.
What the Game Passes Do
None of the passes give you cash or shares directly, so you cannot buy your way to a big portfolio. They add features and information.

The most useful ones are More News and Wall Street Insider, because more information helps you time trades. Closed Market Trading is the priciest at 499 Robux and only matters if you play a lot.
There is also a Crate Shares system. You open a crate and get a random handful of shares in some stock. The Extra Crate Shares pass makes those handfuls bigger.
How to Play StockRise
- Join the game. You start on a trading floor with a set amount of cash.
- Open the market screen and look at the stock list and prices.
- Pick one stock to start. Buy a small number of shares, not your whole balance.
- Watch the price for a while. Sell when it rises, or hold if you still believe in it.
- Spread your cash across a few stocks instead of putting it all in one.
- Check your portfolio value over time. The badges track it at 25,000, 50,000 and up.
StockRise Gameplay
The core of the game is a menu of prices that keep moving. Most of your time is spent reading that list and deciding when to act.
Buying is one screen. You type a number of shares, see the total cost, and press buy. Selling is the same screen in reverse.
Your office is a space you can buy and decorate later. It is a place to hang out, not a way to trade faster.
Servers hold up to 24 players, so the trading floor can get busy. You can also connect with the wider community through the game’s group.
There is no end. You trade, your portfolio goes up or down, and you come back to it. The badges are the only real goalposts.
Tips for New StockRise Players
- Never put your whole balance into one stock. A single bad drop can wipe you out.
- Spread your cash across three or four stocks so one loss does not sink you.
- Watch a stock for a few minutes before you buy. See which way it is trending.
- Crypto moves fast. It is exciting but it is the quickest way to lose your starting cash.
- Read the news headlines. They tell you which stocks are about to move.
- Skip the passes at first. Learn the basics with the free version before you spend Robux.
