Squid Game X on Roblox takes the iconic Netflix show and turns it into a multiplayer survival game where you and a bunch of other players compete in deadly mini-games. Last one standing wins. It’s brutal, chaotic, and honestly pretty addictive.
What You Actually Do in the Game
Each round throws players into a series of mini-games pulled straight from the show. You’ve got Red Light Green Light, the glass bridge, tug of war, and more. The mechanics are simple enough to pick up fast, but surviving when 50 other players are trying to do the same thing is a different story.
Red Light Green Light is probably the most intense one. You have to stop the second that doll turns around, and if the game catches you still moving, you’re out. It sounds easy until your character slides forward half a step and you’re eliminated in round one.
Between games, you earn currency that you can use to buy cosmetics and outfits. The classic green tracksuit is there, along with a bunch of other skins. It’s not deep progression, but it gives you something to grind toward between rounds.
The Good Parts and the Frustrating Ones
When the lobbies are full and everyone is actually playing seriously, this game is genuinely fun. The tension in the glass bridge round is real, especially near the end when only a few panels are left and everyone is guessing. Those moments feel exactly like the show.
The frustrating part is the player count. Depending on when you log on, lobbies can feel half empty, which kills the energy of the whole game. Some mini-games just don’t hit the same with 12 players instead of 50. The game has also been around long enough that the hype from the original show has cooled off, so peak times are less predictable now.
Bugs pop up here and there too. Sometimes the movement detection in Red Light Green Light feels off, flagging you for moving when you weren’t. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it will annoy you at least once per session. The core experience is still worth trying though, especially if you’re a fan of the show.
