Last Updated: September 2026 | All 15 game modes, the ten rung win ladder, and what two thirds of the shop actually buys.
Squid Game X is a Roblox survival game based on the television show. Up to 80 players are dropped into a round together and put through children’s games, and losing one takes you out. Whoever is still standing at the end wins.
It opened in September 2021 and has passed 2.1 billion visits, which makes it one of the biggest games on Roblox. This page has all 15 modes it runs, the ten rung ladder the game keeps on your wins, and the shop, where two thirds of the money goes on one thing.

How to Play Squid Game X
- Join a server and wait for the round to start. Rooms hold 80 people and they fill quickly.
- The game picks a mode. You do not choose it, and you will not know which one until it starts.
- Play the round. Nearly all of them end with most of the room being knocked out.
- If you lose you sit out and watch until the next round begins. Nothing is lost permanently.
- Win a round and it goes on your record. The game counts your wins forever, not just today.
- Spend what you earn in the shop, or save it. Some rounds reward you even if you do not win.
The 15 modes are Red Light Green Light, Honeycomb, Pentathlon, Hide and Seek, Jump Rope, Sky Squid, Mingle, Night Brawl, Rebellion, Tug of War, Marbles, Rock Paper Scissors Minus One, Glass Bridge, Final Dinner and the Squid Game itself.
Six of those arrived with Season 3. Sky Squid, Hide and Seek, Jump Rope and Final Dinner are the newest, so most players have far less practice at them than at Red Light Green Light.
Squid Game X Gameplay: The Ten Rung Win Ladder
The game has counted wins since nine days after it opened, and it has ten separate markers for them. That gives a clearer picture of how hard this game really is than almost any game we have looked at.

22 in every 100 |
The first number is the surprising one. 78 in every 100 people who open this game win a round. It is not a hard game to win once.
Read the right hand column instead of the middle one. It shows what share of the players at each rung go on to reach the next one, and it does not fall steadily the way you would expect.
The kindest step in the whole game is 5 wins to 10 wins, where half of everyone makes it. The wall is 100 wins to 250 wins, where only 23 in 100 carry on.
At the bottom, 33,617 players have a thousand wins. That is about 1 in 8,800 of everyone who has ever opened the game.

Two Thirds of the Shop Is Buying a Role
The shop has ten things in it and they come to 8,616 Robux together. The three most expensive are not items at all.

Frontman, Detective and Guard come to 5,797 Robux between them. That is two thirds of everything on sale, spent on being somebody rather than getting something.
It makes sense once you see the game. Roles are normally handed out by the game and you take what you are given. These three let you skip that.
The one that changes a round most is cheaper than all of them. For 649 Robux, the Glass Maker permanently shows you which panel on the glass bridge is real, which removes the guessing from a whole mode.
Eight of these ten were built in the game’s first six weeks back in 2021. The Frontman and the Detective came years later, in 2025, and they are the two most expensive things in the game.

The same event a year later |
About 1 in 40 players have been the Frontman at least once. Playing as 001 or as 456 is more than twice as rare, and those two numbers are within 3 percent of each other, so the game is clearly handing them out the same way.
The Frontman badge appeared on 17 January 2025 and the pass that lets you buy the role appeared the day before it, on 16 January. The role and the way to pay for it arrived together.
The last two rows are the same event a year apart. 19,220 people finished the Easter hunt in 2025 and 11,031 finished it in 2026, so a little under half as many turned up the second time.
Tips for New Squid Game X Players
- Do not judge the game on your first round. 78 in every 100 players win one eventually, so a bad start means nothing.
- Learn Red Light Green Light properly. It comes up constantly and it is the mode most likely to end your round early.
- Watch the newest modes rather than rushing them. Sky Squid, Jump Rope, Hide and Seek and Final Dinner are new to everyone, so nobody has an advantage yet.
- Redeem the codes before you spend anything. There are 57 going around and the game names them after its own like milestones.
- Do not buy a role expecting it to win rounds for you. A Guard or a Frontman changes what you do in a round, not whether you survive it.
- The wall is at 100 wins, not at the start. If you want a target, 50 wins is reachable and 250 is where most people stop.
- There are no private servers, so you cannot practise alone. Every round is with 79 strangers.
Squid Game X FAQ
Does Squid Game X have codes?

How many people are in one round?
Up to 80. Private servers are switched off, so you cannot get a room to yourself or practise with friends only.
How many game modes are there?
Fifteen, and six of them were added for Season 3. The game picks which one you play and you find out when it starts.
