Shogun’s Reign is a free Roblox roleplay game set in Edo-period Japan. Every player starts with little more than the clothes on their back. You work, learn a trade and climb, and one player can rise all the way to Shogun.
A group of the same name made it, with about 550,000 members. It came out on July 25, 2026 and has passed 6.8 million visits. Up to 80 players share the Province.

How to Play Shogun’s Reign
- Press play on the start screen. It sends you into the Province.
- Work the fields. Farming, labor and simple trades earn your first Ryo.
- Explore the towns, mountain villages, shrines, estates and the roads between them.
- Master a profession, serve someone above you, or take a riskier path to power.
- Climb the ranks as a warrior, noble or feudal lord, and aim for the Shogun’s seat.
Shogun’s Reign Gameplay and Strategy
Ryo is the money of the game, and you earn it by working. Wealth, reputation and power all count as you climb from farmer to the top ranks.
The badges tell you a lot about how the game works. The Imperials appoint the Shogun. A Shogun can lose the seat when the people revolt. Your character also lives through a full cycle of life.
Performing is a real job too. The Instrument Master badge is for playing an expert song perfectly as a performer.

None of the passes gives Ryo or rank. A Revive costs 100 Robux as a one-time buy, and the shop also takes donations from 10 to 10,000 Robux.
Tips for New Shogun’s Reign Players
- Start with the fields. That is how the game says you earn your first Ryo.
- Explore early. Towns, villages, shrines and estates all sit on the roads around you.
- Pick a profession and stick with it. Mastering one is a path to the top.
- Being Shogun does not last forever. The people can revolt and end your reign.
- You do not need to spend Robux to climb. No pass sells rank.
