Last Updated: August 2026 | Badge, shop and player numbers checked against the live game.
Oaklands hands you a patch of land and an axe and then leaves you alone. You chop trees, saw the logs into planks, mine rocks for ore, sell what you do not need, and spend the money on a bigger plot and better machines. Some people build a factory with conveyors running through it, and some people build a castle.
People stay a long time. The average visit is nearly 28 minutes, which is two or three times what most Roblox games get. This page has the badge numbers behind that, the 31 badges you cannot see on the game page, and what the shop quietly tells you about the free game.

How to Play Oaklands
- Chop the trees closest to your plot first. You need planks before anything else works.
- Take the logs to a sawmill and turn them into planks. Raw logs sell for far less.
- Sell what you are not using straight away. Selling ten thousand dollars of resources is the first money badge and most players get it.
- Buy a bigger plot when you run out of room. There is a badge for exactly that moment.
- Start mining once you have a truck. Ore is where most long-term players end up.
- Build something. Machines, conveyors and buildings are the point of the game, not a side activity.
- Go and look at the biomes. There is a lava cave and an acid area, and both are free to visit.
Oaklands Gameplay: Wood, Ore and Machines
The loop is simple and it never really changes. Gather something, process it into something worth more, sell it, and spend the money on making the next round faster.
What grows on top of that is the building. You can wire up machines that do the processing for you, and people have built whole factories out of conveyors and sorters.
Trading arrived in 2025 and it is free. About 92,000 players have used it, so there is a real market for rare materials.
Two things to know before you settle in. Servers hold only 8 people, and private servers are switched off, so you cannot rent a quiet copy for you and your friends.
Chopping Versus Mining
| How many |
Trees chopped |
Rocks and ores mined |
| 100 |
218,757 players |
574,053 players |
| 1,000 |
7,653 players |
161,316 players |
| 10,000 |
51 players |
11,495 players |
| 100,000 |
3 players |
99 players |
This is the strangest thing in the game. It is named after oak trees, and almost nobody chops them in any quantity.
Fifty one players have chopped ten thousand trees. At the same milestone for rocks, 11,495 players have got there, which is more than two hundred times as many.
At the top it gets sillier. Ninety nine players have mined a hundred thousand rocks. Three players have chopped a hundred thousand trees.
If you want a badge almost nobody has, that is where to look. It is also a fair warning about which job is slower.

The money ladder is kinder than the chopping one. Over a million players have sold ten thousand dollars of stuff, and 6,405 have sold ten million.
The hours badges are the ones that show how sticky this game is. 2,038 players have spent 648 hours in it, which is 27 solid days.
One caveat on every number here. The badges were added five months after the game first opened, so the earliest players are missing and each of these counts is a floor.
The 31 Badges You Cannot See
The game page shows 48 badges. There are actually 79, and the other 31 have been switched off, so they never appear on the list.
Twenty one of them are named TBD, with the description TBD. They were made in one week in November 2022 and never filled in, and not one has ever been given to a player.
Three of the others are the oldest things in the game. There are badges for Week 1, Week 2 and Week 3 from the summer of 2022, held by 551, 731 and 537 players, back when it opened for a few days at a time.
And one is a real badge that 146,279 people earned before it was turned off. It was called Crash Dummy, and it was for ending up outside the car rather than inside it.

Seven more have been retired. Three of them, a chainsaw, a jackhammer and a hacking computer, were the game’s original tools and all three were pulled on the same day in November 2022.
One of the retired ones was never meant to be there at all. It is called DONT BUY IM DEBUGGING THANKS, and it sat in the shop for a fortnight in January 2023.
Four Years Of Updates
This game writes its own history in its name. The title on Roblox has carried more than sixty different tags since 2022, and reading them in order gives you the whole story.
It started as Prototype, became Alpha in early 2023, then hit ten million visits in January 2024 and fifteen million by that June.
After that come the features, one at a time: a river, a lava cave, basements, logic machines, trading, a truck, golf, furniture, backpacks, meadows, flight, pathways and aliens.
There is more coming. Two of the game’s own unreleased areas are named after a rebuild of how you level up and a rebuild of the biomes, and an old ice biome sits there half finished.
Codes and Scripts
Thirteen codes work right now and most of them give you signs for your plot. Our Oaklands codes page has them all, plus the ATM that takes codes and the live ones you have to catch.
Three scripts load and one needs no key. Our Oaklands script page has them and the popular one that stopped working.
Tips for New Oaklands Players
- Process before you sell. Planks beat logs and refined ore beats rocks.
- Do not hoard. There is always more wood, and money buys machines that get it faster.
- Redeem the codes on day one. Nine of them are free signs for your plot.
- Try mining early. The badge numbers say it is far quicker going than chopping.
- Leave the shop alone at first. Every limit it removes is one you will not notice for hours.
- Expect a long session. Most people who stay end up playing for half an hour at a time.
- Watch the game’s name on Roblox. That is where updates and events get announced.
