Knife Ability Test, commonly called KAT, is one of Roblox’s most established PvP games, built around knife throwing combat, kill streaks, and an extensive cosmetic economy around knife and gun skins. It has a competitive ranked scene and a large trading community.
What You Actually Do in Knife Ability Test
Basic play is kill-based: you throw knives, rack up kills, earn coins, and use them to buy cosmetics. But the game has depth beyond the surface. Movement speed, knife velocity, and positioning for throw angles create a skill ceiling that takes significant time to approach.
Multiple game modes include FFA, team modes, and limited-time special modes. Ranked mode puts you in matches against players of similar rank and climbing it requires consistent mechanical performance rather than just playing a lot of games.
How Knife Ability Test Actually Plays
KAT has years of balance work behind it. The combat feels tuned. Knife throwing is fast enough to be reactive but slow enough that prediction and positioning beat pure reaction time. Getting good at KAT is a meaningful skill to develop.
The cosmetic side is substantial. Rare knife skins and gun skins have real value in the trading market, and the economy around them is complex enough that some players spend as much time on the trading side as the actual combat side. Both communities exist within the same game.
