Last Updated: July 2026 | Gyms, pets and player numbers checked against the live game.
Gym Star Simulator is a bodybuilding game on Roblox made by Gym Simulator Club. You walk up to a machine, lift, and watch your muscles grow. Bigger muscles unlock the next gym, and each gym is odder than the last. You go from a normal gym to one in space, one under the ocean, and one in a pyramid.
Pets, trainers and boosts all make the numbers climb faster, and contests pay out on top. The game came out in August 2024 and has passed 656 million visits. This page covers all ten gyms in order, what the pets and trainers really do, and how far players actually get. Those last numbers come straight from Roblox, so they are real counts and not guesses.

How to Play Gym Star Simulator
The first few minutes are simple, and then it opens up fast. Do these in order.
- Load the game and walk to any machine in the starter gym.
- Lift. Every machine trains one muscle, so chest, back, legs, abs and arms all have their own.
- Watch your stamina. It runs down as you lift and you need it to keep going.
- Redeem the codes early. They hand you crystals, spins and boost items for free.
- Hatch a pet from the eggs. Pets sit with you and add to how fast you grow.
- Equip a trainer. Trainers give a percentage bonus to growth or to contests.
- Enter a bodybuilding competition once your numbers are up, then unlock the next gym.
Do not save your boost items for later. Protein bars, energy drinks and essential oils only run for a few minutes each, so use them while you are actually lifting.
All Ten Gyms and How Far Players Get
Here is something you will not find anywhere else. Every gym hands out a badge when you unlock it, and Roblox counts how many players have each badge. So those counts show exactly how far people really get. About 28 million players have the join badge, and here is what happens to them.
| Gym |
Players who unlocked it |
What that means |
| Starter Gym |
Everyone |
Where you begin, with the basic machines |
| Modern Gym |
1,629,197 |
About 1 in 17 players get this far |
| Space Gym |
745,285 |
About 1 in 38 |
| Deep Ocean Gym |
431,857 |
About 1 in 65 |
| Zoo Gym |
222,122 |
About 1 in 127 |
| Ancient Gym |
117,325 |
About 1 in 240 |
| Pyramid Gym |
51,869 |
About 1 in 542 |
| Highschool Gym |
25,659 |
About 1 in 1,096 |
| Ice Giants Gym |
8,741 |
About 1 in 3,216 |
| Anime Gym |
5,417 |
The last one, and only 1 in 5,190 reach it |
Look at the drop. Over 1.6 million players reach the Modern Gym, but only 5,417 reach the Anime Gym at the end. That is 300 times fewer. Each gym costs a lot more strength than the one before it, so the wall gets higher every time.
The Ice Giants and Anime gyms are the serious ones. Fewer than 9,000 players have seen either. If you get that far you are in the top handful of players in a game with 656 million visits.
What Most Players Never Do
The gym ladder is only half the story. The other badges show which parts of the game people actually touch, and the very first step is the biggest cliff of all.
| What you did |

| Reach rank 15 |
122,128 |
About 1 in 230 |
| Unlock 20 auras |
4,346 |
About 1 in 6,469, the rarest thing in the game |
Only about 1 in 6 players ever reach 5,000 chest strength, which takes a few minutes. Only 1 in 8 play for two hours. So most people load in, lift a bit and leave. Everything after that puts you ahead of the crowd quickly.
The rarest thing in the whole game is not a gym at all. Unlocking 20 auras has been done by 4,346 players, which is rarer than finishing the last gym. If you want a badge almost nobody has, auras are where to look.
Gym Star Simulator Gameplay Explained
The loop is short and it repeats. Lift at a machine, watch a number go up, and spend that number on the next thing. What makes it more than clicking is the stack of helpers you build on top.
Pets are the first layer. You hatch them from eggs, and you can craft and upgrade them into better ones. Trainers are the second layer, and they give straight percentage bonuses like more muscle growth or a better score in contests. Auras are the third, rolled at random, and they are the rarest thing here.
Competitions are where it all pays off. You enter with the body you have built and win rewards based on how you place. Weekly leaderboards and season quests were added in the latest update, so there is a fresh reason to push your numbers each week.
What Is an Incremental Simulator?
If the term is new, it means a game built around a number that keeps growing. You do a small action, the number goes up, and you spend it on something that makes the number go up faster. Then you repeat that with bigger numbers.
Gym Star Simulator uses muscle strength as that number. The clever part is the theme, because a bodybuilding game is a perfect fit for a genre about slowly getting stronger. The gyms give you a reason to keep going, since each one looks completely different from the last.

So yes, money moves you up this game faster. You can still reach the late gyms without paying, and the badge numbers show plenty of players have. Codes are the free version of the same boosts, which is why it is worth grabbing all 20 before you start a long session.
Tips for New Gym Star Simulator Players
- Redeem every code first. Twenty of them work right now and they cost nothing.
- Use boost items while you lift, not later. They only last a few minutes each.
- Train every muscle, not just one. Contests score your whole body.
- Equip a trainer as soon as you get one. A percentage bonus beats raw lifting every time.
- Hatch pets whenever you can afford it. Only 1 in 34 players even collect 25 of them.
- Enter competitions often. Most players never win one, so the rewards are easy to grab.
- Chase auras if you want something rare. They are rarer than the final gym.
