Free Boombox/Radio is a Roblox game with no levels, no bosses and nothing to win, and that is exactly why people keep going back. You spawn in, you get handed a free boombox, and you play whatever song you want out loud for the whole server. Everyone standing near you hears it, which turns the map into a sort of open air radio station where fifty people are all fighting to be the loudest.
The one thing you need is a music ID, which is just a number that tells the boombox which song to play. Paste it in and the music starts. This guide covers how the boombox works, the free chat commands that hand you avatar looks people normally pay Robux for, all four badges including the secret one almost nobody finds, and the mistakes that leave new players standing in silence.

How to Play Free Boombox/Radio
- Join the game and wait for the map to load. You do not need to buy anything to get started.
- Look at the toolbar at the bottom of your screen. The boombox is already there, so tap it to hold it.
- Click or tap the boombox. A box pops up asking you for an ID.
- Paste a music ID into that box and hit play. Grab one from our music ID list if you do not have one yet.
- The song starts and everyone nearby hears it. To change tracks, paste in a different number and play again.
- Type the chat commands to grab your free avatar looks, then go explore the map while your music runs.
Free Boombox/Radio Gameplay Systems Explained
| System |
How It Works |
| The Boombox |
Your one and only tool. It is free, you get it the moment you spawn, and it is the reason everyone is here. Equip it from the toolbar at the bottom of your screen |
| Music IDs |
A music ID is a number that points at one song in the Roblox audio library. Paste it into the boombox and that song plays. No ID means no music, so this is the thing to learn first |
| Playing Out Loud |
The boombox is not headphones. Everyone standing near you hears whatever you put on, which is what makes the game fun and occasionally very annoying |
| The Map |
A hangout map you can wander around while the music plays. There is no obby to beat and nothing chasing you, so explore at your own pace |
| Chat Commands |
Typing a few short commands into the chat changes your avatar for free, including the Korblox leg and a headless look that normally cost Robux |
| Badges |
Four badges to collect. Three are easy, and one is a genuine secret that most players never find |
| Servers |
Up to 50 people share a server, so at busy times you are competing with a lot of other boomboxes to be heard |
Free Chat Commands
These are the closest thing this game has to codes. Type one into the chat and it takes effect straight away. The Korblox and headless ones are worth knowing about, because those looks cost real Robux in the avatar shop and here they are free.
| Command |
What It Does |
| /Korblox |
Gives you the Korblox leg. This is the one people are most surprised by, since it costs a lot of Robux in the avatar shop |
| /Headless |
Makes your avatar headless, another look that is normally expensive |
| /Char |
Changes your character |
| /Rejoin or /rj |
Drops you into a fresh server without closing the game |
| /re |
Resets your character |
Badges and the Hidden Secret
There are four badges in the game, and three of them take no effort. The interesting one is the badge called ??? with the description “You found a secret!”. Over a million players have the Welcome badge, but only around 8,500 have ever found the secret, so if you want a badge that actually means something, that is the one to hunt for. Go poking around the edges of the map instead of standing in the middle with everyone else.
| Badge |
How to Get It |
| Welcome |
Just join the game once. Over a million players have this one |
| You Joined The Group! |
Join the game’s Roblox group. Only about 27,000 players have bothered, so it is an easy one to pick up |
| Meet With one of The Developers |
Be in a server at the same time as a developer. You cannot plan for this, you just have to get lucky |
| ??? |
A hidden secret somewhere in the map. Around 8,500 players have ever found it, which is under 1 percent of everyone who has played |
Music IDs in Free Boombox/Radio
The game does not have codes, so do not go hunting for a code box, because there is not one. Music IDs are what people actually mean when they search for codes here, and they are the only thing you need to get the most out of the boombox.
Be careful where you get them. Most ID lists online are years old and full of numbers that do nothing, because Roblox changed its audio rules in 2022 and made older uploads private. Our Free Boombox/Radio music ID list was checked against the Roblox audio library this month, so every ID on it still plays.
Tips for New Free Boombox/Radio Players
- Get your IDs ready before you join. Nothing wastes a session like standing around trying to remember a number while everyone else is blasting music.
- Watch the song length. A five minute track means five minutes of everyone hearing your pick, and a one minute meme song lands much better in a crowd.
- Type the chat commands first thing. Free Korblox and headless looks take about three seconds to grab and a lot of players never realise they are there.
- If the server is a wall of noise, use /rj to hop to a fresh one. Some servers are packed and some are nearly empty, and an empty one means your music is the only music.
- Paste the number by itself. Copying a stray space or a letter along with it is the single most common reason a boombox stays silent.
- Go looking for the secret. Almost nobody has the ??? badge, so wander the quiet corners of the map rather than the spot where everyone is standing.
- Do not expect the exact song from the radio. Roblox only allows licensed library audio, so some tracks are covers rather than the original recording.
Free Boombox/Radio FAQ
Is Free Boombox/Radio free?
Completely. The game is free, the boombox is free, and you get it the second you spawn in. You do not need a single Robux to play music.
Does Free Boombox/Radio have codes?
No. There is no code box in the game and no codes have ever existed for it. When people search for codes here, what they actually want is music IDs, and our music ID page has a list that was checked this month.
Why is my music not playing?
Usually because a space or a letter got copied along with the number, so paste the digits on their own. If it still does nothing, the ID is probably an old one that stopped working after the 2022 Roblox audio change.
Can I play any song I want?
Only songs that are in the Roblox audio library. You cannot paste in a YouTube link, and you cannot play a song someone uploaded privately. That limit comes from Roblox itself, not from this game.
There seem to be two games with this name. Which one is this?
You are not imagining it. There are two live Free Boombox/Radio games with almost the same name and thumbnail. This guide covers the one made by the group [ ERRORR ], which is the busier of the two and the one with the star icons. The other is by a group called XrTemp. They play almost the same, so you have not done anything wrong if you land in the other one, but the badges and commands on this page belong to the [ ERRORR ] version.
How do I get the ??? badge?
It is a secret the developers hid in the map, and they have never said where. Roughly 8,500 players out of more than a million have found it. Your best bet is exploring the parts of the map nobody bothers with.
Can I get banned for playing loud or annoying songs?
The game is moderated and the developers do hand out bans for abusing admin powers. Playing a song is fine, but Roblox rules about what audio you play still apply, so keep it sensible.
