How to Play Forsaken
Each match is short, and you are placed on one of two sides. Here is the basic flow:
1. Join a match and get your role. The game randomly picks you to be a Survivor or the Killer, then drops everyone onto a spooky map.
2. As a Survivor, repair the generators. Find the glowing generators around the map and hold to fix them. Little skill-check mini-games pop up, so tap them on time.
3. Stay away from the Killer. Run, hide, and use your character’s special ability. Getting caught in the open with no hiding spot usually means you are down.
4. As the Killer, hunt the Survivors. Use your powers to chase, trap, and take them down before they can finish the generators and slip away.
5. Escape or stop everyone. Once enough generators are fixed, the exit opens and Survivors try to leave. The Killer wins by stopping them all first.
Gameplay and Strategy
Forsaken is what players call an asymmetric game, which just means the two sides are not even. A group of survivors has the numbers, but the killer is much stronger one-on-one. The whole match is a tug of war between fixing generators fast and staying alive long enough to do it.
Every character is a famous Roblox face with its own abilities. Survivors come in three roles, which are Survivalist (fast and sneaky), Sentinel (tanky and stuns the killer), and Support (heals the team). Killers each play differently too, from speedy chasers to trap setters. You can see the full list in our Forsaken characters guide.
The deeper skill is teamwork and sound. Good survivors split up to fix more generators, share heals, and take turns leading the killer on a chase while others work. You earn Player Points every match, which you spend to unlock new characters and try fresh playstyles, so it pays to keep playing and experimenting.
Tips for New Players
- Stick near your teammates as a Survivor. You can revive each other, and the killer cannot chase everyone at once.
- Hit the skill checks while repairing. Missing them makes the generator pop loudly and tells the killer exactly where you are.
- Learn the maps and the best hiding spots, and listen for the killer’s footsteps and music cues.
- Start with a tough survivor like Guest 1337 while you learn, since he is tanky and can stun the killer (see the characters guide).
- Earn Player Points every round to unlock new killers and survivors, then try them out to find your favorite.
