Broken Bones IV is exactly what it sounds like. You launch your ragdoll off a massive ramp, watch it bounce, tumble, and ragdoll down a ridiculous obstacle course, and rack up points for every bone you break. It sounds dumb. It is dumb. That’s the whole point, and honestly it’s a blast.
What You Actually Do in This Game
The core loop is simple. You press a button, your character gets launched, and then you just watch the chaos unfold. The courses are full of ramps, floors, spikes, and random obstacles that send your ragdoll flying in every direction. Each hit scores you points based on damage, and the wilder the bounce, the better.
Points let you unlock new launch spots, maps, and cosmetics. Some spots are way more broken than others, literally. Certain launch pads will send your ragdoll into a full death spiral while others feel a little tame. Finding the best ones is half the fun early on.
There are also different maps to play around in, each with their own layout and hazards. Some have lava, some have giant drops, some are just pure chaos from start to finish. The variety keeps things fresh longer than you’d expect from a game this simple.
The Good, the Annoying, and Where It’s at Now
The physics are genuinely funny. Watching your ragdoll clip through a wall, spin into a ceiling, and then somehow land in a pit you weren’t even near never gets old. It’s the kind of game you pull up when you just want to laugh for 20 minutes without thinking too hard.
The grind to unlock everything can drag, though. If you want the premium launch spots or cooler cosmetics, you’ll be replaying the same runs a lot. It doesn’t take long before the sessions start feeling repetitive, especially if you’re playing solo. It’s a lot more fun with friends watching and reacting to the chaos.
The game isn’t getting huge updates these days, and the player count has dropped from its peak. It still has an active enough crowd to keep lobbies going, but don’t expect major new content drops anytime soon. For what it is, a silly ragdoll game you hop on for quick fun, it still holds up.
