Last Updated: September 2026 | A real music studio on Roblox, with 200 instruments and effects like reverb, EQ and sidechain.
BeatMerger is a free music-making tool on Roblox. It works like a small version of GarageBand or FL Studio. You place notes on a grid, pick instruments for each track, add effects, and press play. When a song is done you can share it in a public library for other players to hear.
This page explains what a DAW is and how the tracks, instruments and effects work. It covers the Music Library, the six game passes, and why the two badges are not something you can earn. It also explains why a music tool has no codes and no scripts.

What a DAW Is
DAW stands for digital audio workstation. It is the kind of software musicians use to make songs on a computer, like GarageBand, FL Studio or Ableton.
The developer, NsFlashcrafter1, built one that runs inside Roblox. It was the first tool on Roblox that actually works like the real thing.
You get a grid where each row is a note and each column is a step in time. You click squares to place notes, and the song plays left to right.
It is not a game with a goal. No score, no timer, nothing to beat. The point is to make music you like.
Tracks, Instruments and Effects
The free version gives you four instrument tracks and one drum track. Each track can use a different instrument, so you can layer a bass, a lead, a pad and drums.
There are over 200 instruments and drum sounds, all free. You pick one per track and can swap it whenever you want.
Each track has its own volume, and a set of effects you can turn on. Those include distortion, reverb, chorus, three EQ bands, detune, and a sound offset for timing.
The controls above the grid handle the whole song. You set the tempo, turn on a metronome to keep time, solo one track to hear it alone, or use sidechain to make the bass duck under the drums.
The Music Library
When a song is finished you can publish it to the Music Library. That is a shared list of songs made by other players in the tool.
Other people can open your song, listen to it, and see how you built it. It is the closest thing the tool has to a community.
The free version lets you publish a set number of songs. The More Submissions pass raises that limit if you make a lot.

The Game Passes
There are six passes and they all lift a limit in the free tool. None of them are needed to make a full song.
| Game pass |
Price |
What it unlocks |
| Donation |
25 Robux |
A tip for the developer. Gives nothing in the tool |
| More Submissions |
38 Robux |
Publish more of your songs to the Music Library |
| Longer Songs |
40 Robux |
Raises the length limit on a single song |
| More Tracks |
40 Robux |
Seven instrument tracks instead of four, plus drums |
| Custom Sounds |
50 Robux |
Load your own Roblox audio as an instrument |
More Tracks is the one most people want. Going from four tracks to seven gives you a lot more room to build a full arrangement.
Custom Sounds is for players who want to use a specific Roblox audio as an instrument. There is also a Donation pass that just tips the developer.
The Two Badges Are Not Achievements
BeatMerger has two badges, Trending and Featured. Neither one is something you earn by being good at the tool.
They are handed out to players who open the game with a published song while BeatMerger is sitting on the Roblox trending or featured lists.
So the badges are more about timing and luck than skill. Only 218 players have Trending and 122 have Featured. There is no badge for finishing a song or filling all your tracks.
How to Play BeatMerger
- Join and open the grid. Each row is a note, each column is a beat in the song.
- Pick an instrument for the first track. Click squares to place a simple tune.
- Press play. Move notes around until the tune sounds right.
- Add a drum pattern on the drum track to give it a beat.
- Fill the other tracks with a bass line and a chord part. Set each track’s volume.
- Hit save, or turn on autosave, before you leave. Then publish it to the Music Library.
BeatMerger Gameplay
The whole tool is the grid and the controls around it. You spend your time placing notes, testing the sound, and moving things until it clicks.
Presets give you a starting pattern to build on if a blank grid feels hard. Copy and paste lets you repeat a section without redrawing it.
The effects are where the sound gets interesting. A dry piano with reverb added sounds like a real room. EQ can pull a muddy track back into focus.
It runs heavy. The developer warns you need a strong device, and on a phone the grid can lag once a song gets busy.
The tool has no end point. You make a song, publish it, and start another. People come back to it for months, which is why the favorite count is so high.
Tips for New BeatMerger Players
- Start with a preset. A blank grid is the hardest way to learn what the tool does.
- Build the drum pattern first. A beat gives the rest of the song something to sit on.
- Keep early songs short. A four-bar loop is easier to finish than a full track.
- Turn autosave on straight away. Leaving without saving loses your work.
- Use copy and paste for repeated sections instead of placing every note by hand.
- Add reverb last, and go light. Too much makes the whole song a blur.
