Asylum Life

✅ Last Updated: June 2026  |  Verified this week

Asylum Life is a role-play asylum sim on Roblox by Stone-Haven County Asylum where you pick a Patient who has been locked up in the asylum for being a little too crazy or an Orderly who patrols the wards and keeps the chaos under control. Patients earn Credits by mopping spills, finishing chores, talking to NPC Mitch, and lifting Contraband items that spawn at random points around the facility. Orderlies earn Credits by arresting Patients who push past the chaos line and by holding the high-traffic corridors during a riot, so both roles have a steady Credit drip and a real reason to play their side honest.

The game launched in November 2024 and has crossed 201 million visits with around 1.4 million favorites since launch. Lobbies cap at 40 players, which is enough to fill a riot from both sides without lag, and voice chat is strongly recommended because the role-play side leans on talking your way through a search, a chase, or a quiet break with another Patient. This wiki covers how to play, the Patient and Orderly role guide, the Credit ladder, the most useful tips for new players, and the most-asked questions, plus links to the codes and scripts pages at the bottom.

How to Play Asylum Life

  1. Open Asylum Life on Roblox and wait for the lobby to load. Finish the short tutorial that walks you through the basics.
  2. Pick a side at the spawn point. Patients live inside the wards and earn Credits by doing chores, talking to Mitch, and grabbing Contraband. Orderlies wear the staff uniform and earn Credits by patrolling, arresting, and keeping order.
  3. If you spawn as a Patient, walk over to a spill and mop it for a quick Credit drop, then find NPC Mitch for a top-up. Contraband pickups pay the most, so keep an eye out for items in odd corners of the wards.
  4. If you spawn as an Orderly, patrol the wards and watch for Patients who break the rules. Walk up and use the arrest prompt when a Patient pushes the chaos line, then escort them back to a cell.
  5. Spend the Credits you earn in the in-game Shop on morphs, weapon skins, emote packs, and titles. The Shop opens from the three dots button in the top left of the screen.
  6. Join voice chat if you can. The role-play side leans on talking your way through every chase, every search, and every quiet break with another player.

Asylum Life Gameplay: Patient vs Orderly Role Guide

The Patient side is the mischief side. You spawn into a cell with a blue jumpsuit, a free roam range of the wards, and a Credit drip on every chore you finish. Mopping a spill takes a few seconds and pays a small lump, talking to NPC Mitch pays a quick top-up, and finishing the rotating chore list inside the day room pays a steady stream that keeps the meter rising even on a quiet round. The bigger Credit lumps come from Contraband pickups that spawn at random points around the facility, like the bathroom shelves, the laundry bins, and the cafeteria back rooms, and the items pay more if you can carry them past an Orderly without getting caught. Escape attempts are the highest reward side of the Patient loop, but the door prompts have a long action timer and the Orderly patrol catches you cold if the staff side has full coverage.

The Orderly side is the structure side. You spawn into the staff room in a white coat with arrest gear on the belt, a shared patrol map with the other Orderlies, and a Credit drip on every arrest you complete cleanly. The arrest loop is simple, walk up to a Patient who breaks a rule, tap the arrest prompt, and escort them back to a cell, but the busy rounds throw a real test at you because the wards run on a chaos meter that climbs every time a Patient pulls a riot move. Hold the high-traffic corridors with another Orderly on the same patrol pattern, call out Contraband spotters on voice chat, and time your arrests so a single takedown does not leave the other end of the ward open for a breakout. The cleanest Orderly runs feel like a coordinated patrol, not a chase.

Both roles share the Credit Shop. Morphs trade your default outfit for a themed look like a Reaper, a Nurse, or a seasonal costume that ships during a holiday update. Weapon skins recolor the Orderly arrest tools so the patrol looks sharp, and emote packs unlock new dances, traversable emotes, and meme animations that show up in the emote wheel. Titles sit above your name and call out community milestones like the Vocaloid pack drop or the Christmas event. The fastest way to climb that Shop ladder is to stack an XP Booster from the code list, run a long Patient round with chained Contraband pickups, and bank the Credits on the next round before the booster timer runs out.

Tips for New Asylum Life Players

  • Stack an XP Booster code from the code list right before a long Patient round. The booster timer covers the slow Credit drips from chores and lump pays the Contraband pickups, so the Credit ladder fills faster on the same round count.
  • Learn the Contraband spawn corners. The bathroom shelves, the laundry bins, and the cafeteria back rooms are the most common spawn points, and a chained pickup loop pays more than any chore rotation.
  • If you pick the Orderly side, patrol with a partner on the opposite end of the ward. A single Orderly cannot cover both ends during a chaos spike, and the breakout doors open whenever the patrol leaves a gap.
  • Join voice chat for the role-play side. A clean voice line during a search or a chase pays more in role-play feel than any gear tier, and the staff team needs voice for the patrol calls during a riot.
  • Open the Shop from the three dots button in the top left and check the Codes box in the top right of the Shop window before every play session. The dev team drops new codes on update day and the booster timer kicks the second you redeem.
  • Keep the chaos line in mind even on a Patient round. Push too far and the Orderly patrol arrests you off the high paying loops, push too low and the Credit drip stays slow. The middle line is where the Patient round pays best.
