Every day is a shift, and your goal is to keep the Krusty Krab from bankruptcy. Each order earns money, and the customers range from regulars to villains and MVPs. Plankton shows up to make things harder.
You can play alone or with up to three friends. Two-player crews are the most common, with 2,629,172 players holding that badge against 1,452,001 who played solo. Money pays for upgrades to the restaurant and to your character, and you can unlock new characters and level them up.
The game also rates your restaurant with stars. A 2-star rating is common, but very few crews ever reach 5 stars.
