Art Leap is a free Roblox game made by the Belvedere Museum in Vienna, the museum that owns Klimt’s The Kiss. You leap through the frame of a real painting and land in a small world built from it. Each one has three games to play and a character to be. One puts you inside a Napoleon battle; another makes you a squirrel hunting for food in a park.

The Kiss is the one people come for. It is Klimt’s most famous work, it hangs in the real Belvedere, and its world is all shimmering gold to match.
Napoleon Crossing the Alps is the most finished world in the game, at 96,524. The Philharmonic is the newest, added a year after launch, and the least finished at 19,539.
The odd one out is Spring in the Prater by Tina Blau. It is a quiet park scene. In the game you play it as a squirrel looking for nuts, which fits the painting better than it sounds.
Most Players Finish One World and Leave
The Welcome to Art Leap badge sits at about 2.8 million, and the completion badges tell you what happens after that.
The most-finished painting, Napoleon, is at 96,524. Against nearly 3 million visits, that is roughly 3 in every 100 players who complete even the easiest world.
It drops from there. The Philharmonic, the newest world, is at 19,539, so about 1 in 150 finishes it. Getting all five done is a small club.
One caveat on the numbers. Welcome to Art Leap is close to an arrival badge but not exactly one. Read these as rough shares, not exact player percentages.
It Has Won Real Game Awards
This is not just a museum putting out a promo. It has picked up awards from the game industry itself.
It won Best in Play at the Game Developers Conference in 2025, which is a jury award voted by other developers. It also took the Innovative Technologies prize at the Digamus Awards and was a finalist for a Games for Change award.
That shows in the rating. At 91 percent it is one of the best-received museum games on Roblox, well above most educational titles.
How to Play Art Leap
- Start in the hub, a recreation of the Belvedere Palace, and walk up to a painting on the wall.
- Leap through the frame. You land in that painting’s world as a set character.
- Play the three games in the world. Each one teaches something about the painting or the artist.
- Finish all three to earn that painting’s badge and unlock the next.
- Head back to the hub and pick another frame. The five worlds can be done in any order.
- Try Napoleon first if you want the fastest badge, and save The Philharmonic for last.
Art Leap Gameplay
Each world is a short story told through three mini-games. They are not hard, but they are different in every painting, so the game never repeats itself.
The Klimt world leans on the gold. You play his assistant, mixing colors and placing the tiny gold squares that make up The Kiss.
Monet’s The Chef is a kitchen with oversized pots and pans in warm copper. Napoleon Crossing the Alps is a snowy mountain pass with mist and moving rock.
The Prater world is the calmest. As a squirrel you gather food across a spring park, which is exactly what Tina Blau’s painting shows.
Between worlds the hub is a faithful model of the Belvedere itself. You can walk the palace even if you never leave the lobby.
Tips for New Art Leap Players
- Do Napoleon first. It is the shortest world and the fastest badge.
- Read the short text panels between games. That is where the actual art history is.
- The Philharmonic is the hardest and the newest. Leave it until you know the game.
- You cannot fail a mini-game, only take longer, so slow down and look around each world.
- The gold-square game in the Klimt world is fiddly. Zoom the camera in before you start it.
