Last Updated: September 2026 | Everything the game counts, and the grading odds it never shows you.
Storage Hunters: Open World is a Roblox game about buying locked storage units without knowing what is inside. You bid against other players, win a unit, load whatever you find into a truck, drive it back to your own shop and sell it to customers. Then you buy a bigger truck and do it again.
It opened on 2 June 2026 and passed 95 million visits in three months. Rooms hold only 8 people and almost every room is full. This page has the ladder the game keeps on you, the whole shop, the grading odds and where every quest giver stands.

How to Play Storage Hunters: Open World
- Walk up to an auction and join it. You cannot see inside the unit before you bid.
- Watch the bar. A white marker slides along it and a green patch sits somewhere on the track. Press bid when the marker is inside the green.
- Win the unit and carry what is inside out to your truck. Every item has a weight.
- Watch your load. Go over your truck’s limit and you slow right down, so two light trips can beat one heavy one.
- Drive back to your shop and put things on shelves. Customers wander in and make offers.
- Check the rate before you sell. What your shop pays moves up and down, so the same box is worth different money at different times.
- Spend the money on a bigger truck, more shelves and more storage, then take on a harder area.
Grading is the other half of the money. An item can come back as a replica or as one, two or three stars, and the grade changes what it sells for.
Storage Hunters: Open World Gameplay: Two Ladders That Agree
The game keeps two counts on you and they are kept separately. One counts auctions you have won. The other counts what you are worth.
Every one of these counters started on the day the game opened, so nothing here is skewed by a badge that arrived late. That makes the numbers unusually clean.

Look at the two pairs in the middle. Winning 10 auctions and reaching a thousand dollars land on 34 and 32 in every hundred. Winning 100 auctions and reaching ten thousand both land on 7.
Two counts the game keeps apart agree twice over. So one auction win is worth roughly a hundred dollars through the middle of the game, and you can plan a session on that.
The bottom row is the wall. 486 people have found every mutator, out of nearly 21 million who have opened the game. Our mutation list has all 29 of them and what each one multiplies.

The Shop Is 4,000 Robux and None of It Is a Costume
Ten things are on sale and they come to exactly 4,000 Robux. Not one of them changes how your character looks.
| Price |

Does it change how you look? |
| 699 Robux |
Half again as many items allowed on your plot |

| 479 Robux |

| 249 Robux |

No |
Every single item is space, speed or luck. More room in your bags, more weight in your truck, more shelves in your shop, faster offers, better grades.
That is worth knowing because most Roblox shops are the other way round. If someone in your room is ahead of you, they did not buy a nicer hat. They bought more room.
The Grading Odds Nobody Publishes
The game never tells you what an item is likely to grade as. One of the paid items does, because to sell you better odds it has to show you the ones you already have.
| What an item can grade as |
Chance if you paid nothing |
Chance with the paid item |
| Replica |
22 in 100 |
never |
| 1 star |
30 in 100 |
28 in 100 |
| 2 star |
43 in 100 |
62 in 100 |
| 3 star |
5 in 100 |
10 in 100 |
So three stars is a 1 in 20 shot for free. The badge count backs that up, because about 3 in every 100 players have ever pulled one.
The real change the paid item makes is at the bottom, not the top. Replicas stop happening at all, and those 22 wasted rolls in a hundred become two star items.

Start with Billy in the Junk Yard. He has 18 quests and he is the one the game points new players at.
Lucky Beach is the biggest single pile of work at 29 quests, but you have to open the road first. A tollbooth guard on the bridge wants one coffee machine delivered before he lifts the barrier.
Only four of these places have garages you can load a truck at. The Junk Yard has the Scrap Garage, the Back Alley has the Shop Front, the Farmyard has a stable and a barn, and the Shipyard has three including a warehouse.
Our quest list has all 118 and what each pays, and our item list has all 844 things you can find.
Tips for New Storage Hunters: Open World Players
- Do Billy’s quests in the Junk Yard first. They are written for people who have just arrived and they pay while you learn the loop.
- Never sell the moment you get back. Your shop’s rate moves, so a bad rate turns a good haul into a poor one.
- Keep an eye on your truck weight. Going over the limit slows you to a crawl and costs you more time than a second trip would.
- Hang on to trophies. A gavel trophy goes on your plot and there is a badge for placing one, so selling them is usually a mistake.
- Bid on the beat, not in a panic. The green patch is the only part of the bar that counts and pressing early does nothing.
- Get the coffee machine to the tollbooth guard early. Lucky Beach has more quests than anywhere else and the bridge stays shut until you do.
- There are no codes in this game, so do not waste time hunting for one. The daily gift box beside your mini-map is the free money.
Storage Hunters: Open World FAQ
Does Storage Hunters: Open World have codes?
No. There is no code box in the game and there never has been one. Our codes page explains what pays instead.
How many people can be in one server?
Eight, which is small for a Roblox game this busy. Nearly every room we looked at was full, and private servers are switched off, so you play with strangers.
What is the rarest thing in the game?
Finding every mutator. 486 people hold that badge out of nearly 21 million, which is about 1 in 43,000.
Why did my item sell for less than last time?
Your shop pays a rate that moves up and down. The same item is worth different money depending on when you sell it, so check before you hand things over.
Is the paid grading item worth it?
It doubles your chance of a three star, from 5 in 100 to 10 in 100. The bigger change is that replicas stop happening at all, which is where most of the wasted rolls go.
How long does a game usually last?
About half an hour on average. A quarter of players pass one hour and under 2 in 100 reach 25 hours.
Is there a way to see inside a unit before bidding?
No. That is the whole point of the game. You are paying for a sealed box and the grade of what is inside decides whether you made money.
