Every code in Terminal pays out the same thing. A hint. Not cash, not a skin, just one nudge on a puzzle you are stuck on.
Four of them work this month and five are dead. Below is the working list, the C key that opens the box, and the two ways to get hints once the codes run out.
Active Terminal Codes (August 2026)
| Code |
Reward |
Action |
| HUNTED |
1 hint. The newest of the working four. |
|
| INNOVATION |
1 hint. Named after the awards nomination the game shows off on its own page. |
|
| FULLCIRCLE |
1 hint. Shares its name with the badge for finishing chapter six. |
|
| SUMMER25 |
1 hint. A summer code, and the only one two separate lists agree on. |
|
Type them exactly as shown. Codes are case-sensitive in this game, so SUMMER25 in capitals is not the same as summer25 in small letters. Each one works once per account.
There is a fifth name going round, Mastermind, and nobody has confirmed it lately. One list has it as dead and another is not sure. Trying it costs nothing, so try it last.
How To Redeem Codes in Terminal
1Open Terminal and wait until you are in the lobby or a room, not the loading screen.
2Press the C key on your keyboard. A small box opens for typing a code.
3Type or paste one code in, exactly as it is written above.
4Press Submit. The hint lands in your account straight away.
5Repeat for the rest. Each code can only be used once on each account.
6Save them. A hint you have not spent is worth more than one you burned on a puzzle you would have got anyway.
Expired Terminal Codes
Five are finished. They are worth a look anyway, because the names tell you what the game was doing at the time.
COMINGSOONescapeHYPOTHESISGIFT4Uthumbnailcode
One of them was handed out with a thumbnail, one was a gift, and one is simply the word escape. If you find a list with any of these still marked as working, that list has not been touched in a long time.

Why The Codes Are All Hints
This game has no money in it. Nothing to buy with cash, no shop full of skins, no ladder to climb. The only thing worth handing a player is help.
And people need it. Of everybody who has escaped chapter one on the harder mode, only about 3 in 100 have made it to the end of chapter six. Most runs stop long before the story does.
So a hint is the real currency here. Four free ones are sitting in the table above, which is four puzzles you do not have to give up on.
Where To Get Hints When The Codes Run Out
Beginner mode, and it is free
The whole game has a second set of puzzles built to be easier. Same story, same rooms, rewritten for players who are newer to this. Nothing to buy.
Play in a group
The game is built for one to five players and says outright that a group is the best way to play. Five people looking at one riddle beats one person with a hint.
Pencil and paper
The game asks you to keep some next to you. That is not a joke about the theme. Some puzzles need you to write things down to see the pattern.
One person buys Infinite Time
The 299 Robux pass that stops the timer sending you back to the lobby covers the whole group. If one friend in five owns it, none of you get thrown out.
What The VIP Pass Does Instead
The other pass in the shop costs the same 299 Robux and hands you one free hint every single day you open the game. There is no limit on it, so it just keeps going.
That is the honest comparison to make. Codes give you four hints today. The pass gives you one a day forever, and a tag next to your name in chat.
When Do New Terminal Codes Drop?
The names give the pattern away. One is named after a chapter, one after the awards nomination the game advertises on its own page, and one after a season. Codes here follow whatever the game is doing at the time.
The game got a new chapter in April, another in May and another in July, so it is moving quickly right now. Nobody outside the studio can promise the next code, and this page is checked again every month.
About Terminal
Terminal is an escape room game with a story running through it. A runaway train, a tunnel, a bunker, a research lab, and a secret behind all of it. You get a timer, a room full of clues and one to five players to work it out with.
It comes from a verified group called CCF Studios and opened in July 2023. About 89 in every 100 votes on it are likes, which is unusually high, and the game was updated again yesterday.
